After getting the kids situated, we went to San Jose. It was nice and I wished I could buy the entire area but I wasn’t trying to spend that money at all. We walked around for about an hour or two until we were ready to go back to the villa. Tonight Shy and I ere cooking so after taking a shower and throwing on some sweats, we went and got ready to cook. We were making fried chicken, white rice, yams, and collard greens. None of us were down for trying new foods, so we planned on cooking the whole time we were here. Once dinner was done I did my motherly duties and fed the twins, bathed them, and put them to sleep. I made little Trey a plate and fed him before joining the family for dinner. I was extremely tired and didn’t want to be bothered at all. After dinner the men washed the dishes and I went to sleep. Taking care of three kids, two of them being infants, was hard as hell and I was always tired.

Big Jay:

This trip was amazing and I was glad Trey invited me to come. I knew my daughter wasn’t pleased with my presence since she had no problem letting her actions show me. I decided that now would be the perfect time to tell the family the truth about everything. I knew both Shyla and Jordyn would be the main ones hurt. The new Jordyn might even spaz out and try to kill me, but for 19 years we had been hiding this from them so I felt that it was time to tell them. Going to the kitchen, Tinker and I decided to make breakfast since the kids were still asleep. We made French toast, eggs, sausage, and bacon with cheese grits. Once breakfast was done, everyone was up besides the twins and little Trey. Everyone made their plates and engaged in conversation. I decided now would be the perfect time to tell them. Looking down at Jordyn, I knew she was going to be pissed.

“So I have something to tell you guys.” I let out a deep sigh.

“Shyla, while we were out here your mother passed away from HIV. I’m sorry, but it was my fault. Years ago when I was young and dumb your parents and me and Tinker all would get high together. I introduced them all to the drugs but your mother was the only one who caught the disease because she shared needles with someone that we never met. I’m sorry to be the one to tell you this.” She broke down in Jordyn’s arms and cried. I couldn’t tell her that Jordyn and her are sisters. I could see the hurt that I already had caused. Looking around the table, everyone was silent. No one moved or anything. Everyone just shook their heads and was silent.

Tinker:

After breakfast we decided to go back home even if we were only there for two whole days. I wanted to share my news but I didn’t want to be insensitive to what Shyla was going throw. I was hoping that Jay just came out and told her that her and Jordyn were sisters and that was the only reason we kept them some close. I sort of felt bad for never telling Jordyn, but it wasn’t my place to tell her. Even on my highest days I never let it slip that they were sisters. Arriving back in the states, we were all hungry and tired. We decided to go to the Waffle House close to the airport. I looked at the table. Nine and Kayden went back to the apartment and took the little kids. While the rest of us ate, I looked at Jordyn, but it was like she was forcing herself to not look at me. I hated the way she treated me. I hated the way she was acting towards me after finding out I was with Jay. I cleared my throat and caught everyone’s attention.

“Shyla, I’m sorry for you loss. I truly am and I wish you didn’t have to go through this right now.” I took a deep breath. “I wish Nine was here so I could tell you guys all at once but since he’s not, Jordyn you’re going to be a big sister,” I said with the biggest smile on my face and she just looked at me and blinked.

“You felt now was the best time to tell us that? My best friend just lost her mother and you want someone to jump for joy about a pregnancy? You’re serious right now?” she said back to me and rolled her eyes. Jay slammed his palm on the table, causing everyone but Jordyn to jump.

“You’re not going to talk to your mother like that in my presence so apologize.”

“I’m not apologizing to anyone so that’s out of the question.” I watched as Kyrie walked in with his 9 mm.

“You killed my brother, bitch! I hope you meet him in hell…”

I open my eyes, jumping up and turning around to find something shocking as I look on in amazement at that wet stuff I thought was water. As I take a whiff of it, I discover it isn’t water. The smell is strong and I know it can’t be water since water is odorless.
With a grin cocked at the corner of his lips, he says, “You wasn’t expecting me, were you, Tempestt? Oh, I mean Temp.” He has cockiness to him, something I’ve never seen in him before.
Tripping over my own feet, I step back, bumping into my living room table. I try to keep from falling to the floor as I catch myself.
“What d-do you w-want?” I ask, stuttering as the strong-smelling wet stuff invades my schnozzle and burns my eyes.
“I want my life back that you took from me, bitch. You fucked me over, Temp, and I want you to pay for every horrible thing that happened to me!” he shouts angrily as spit flies out of his mouth.
I wasn’t too fond of him at first. He did have a good heart, but he was a sucker for a woman with long legs, a thick ass, and big breasts. He was easy to get to twirl and mold into my own little play thang.
But I never would have thought he would be the one to show up with a grudge. I’ve done wrong to a lot of men, but he, of all men, shows up at my home.
“It never was supposed to have happened that way. I am sorry,” I say, back wiping the wet stuff that he had poured all over me from my face.
Laughter erupts throughout my large apartment as he stands there squinting at me. I take a closer look at his body and can tell he’s been through a lot. He’s lost a lot of weight. He’s no longer the fat guy I once pretended I enjoyed being around. His facial hair has grown so much that his lips can’t be found in that nappy mess you would call a beard. His nappy hair is dirty and knotted to his big fat head.
“Are you serious, Temp? I know you played me. I’ve had a little over a month to think things through and I’ve realized you played me from the first day we met. I was a play toy to you. Not someone you could have fallen in love with. I did everything you asked of me. How fucking stupid was I to think a gorgeous girl like you would want my fat ass?”
“It wasn’t like that at all. I am sorry. Something went wrong and I couldn’t get out of it.”
The next thing I see is spit flying my way as I try to back away, but the table behind me keeps me from moving any further.
“Bitch, fuck you. You’re not sorry. You not sorry at all. I’ve done some fucking research on your ass. I wasn’t the first sucker.” He takes a lighter that I never noticed was balled up in his right hand and flicks it on. “But I will be the last person you fuck over, though.”
Just then I realize that the wet stuff he poured on me is actually gasoline and I am lit up in flames. I fall to the floor, screaming for dear life. I roll, panicking, screaming, and crying. The flames are hot and my body feels like it’s melting instantly. Out of the corner of my eyes, beyond the fire that surrounds my body, I see him looking down on me laughing as my body burns in front of him.
That was the day my soul died.
