“Guess is a major account and you would be perfect for it. I trust you more than the other interns for this.”

Mariana remained skeptical. “You want to see a cat fight, don’t you?”

Scott shook his head. “No.”

“You’re putting your current girlfriend with your bitch ex on a major account together,” Mariana raised an arched eyebrow. “And I’m not supposed to see the potential drama in that?”

“Does Caprina intimidate you?”

“That goes without question.”

“Do you want to prove to her you’re not a pushover?”

“I’m not anyone’s doormat.”

“Good,” Scott stood up and loosed his tie, “now’s your chance to prove to her who she’s working with. Caprina is banking on you to be weak-minded and soft. You’re going to prove to her otherwise.”

“And how do you suggest I do that?”

Scott smiled. “You’ll have to figure that out for yourself.”

Mariana woke up early for her internship and proceeded to get ready for the day. She showered as usual and cleaned thoroughly. She carefully applied her makeup and stood in front of the mirror, nude and tensed.

“To my Lord, I give my submission. To my Lord, I give my devotion. To my Lord, I give my sex. To my Lord, I give my fears. To my Lord, I give my trust. To my Lord, I give my happiness. To my Lord, I give my everything. My Lord loves me and I love my Lord.”

She looked at herself in the mirror after she said her daily mantra. She normally felt empowered and sexy after saying it but she felt the opposite. For the first time since beginning to recite the mantras, Mariana felt she was lying to herself. She tried to forget about Caprina and her reappearance in Scott’s life, but it was to no avail.

Caprina was charming and graceful. Her voice was like molten butter, and whenever she smiled, her mouth danced. She didn’t have an ounce of fat on her and probably didn’t know what a stretch mark was. She was an Amazon, all legs and a small waist. She had hypnotizing eyes that sparkled with every word she spoke.

She had dated everyone from royalty to former presidents to various dignitaries throughout the years. One of her most recent ex-boyfriends was wealthy magnate from Russia. She had no flaws and most men on the planet would consider her to be perfect. She was perfect enough to capture Scott’s attention for the short time they were together.

Caprina was also intelligent and manipulative. The woman was living rent-free in Mariana’s head.

Mariana didn’t want to know anymore about their union, despite the occasional urges to go online to research. What purpose would that serve? To further hate the woman she would be forced to work with? To cause more insecurities and doubts to rise within her? To give Caprina more power over her? Scott had told her everything, and she believed him. Anything more would just be minor details.

Scott. The love of her life. She was going to be his wife, and the proposal was imminent. She was going to have his children. She was going to make a vow to him before God and their families. She was going to change her last name. No one and nothing was going to take that away from her. Not Jennifer. Not Sarah. And definitely not Caprina.

“What would my Lord do?” She asked out loud. “How would He handle this?” Mariana studied her face in the mirror. After a few seconds, the answer dawned on her and she revealed a confident smile.

“To my Lord,” she spoke loudly, “I give my sex.”

Scott stared out the skyscrapers of Los Angeles. If he looked far enough, he could see the Hollywood sign. To his northeast, he could see the San Gabriel Mountains. To the left, he could see a smog haze hovering over the San Fernando Valley.

He leaned against the window and just stared out. It was too early for a drink, but he could have really used one. He knew not everything was right with Mariana. The look on her face when she learned the connection with Caprina and her behavior later that night had proved to be a mountain of a challenge for them both.

Caprina. She brought out so many emotions and none of them pleasant. He had been successful in erasing her from his heart and mind for the past several years and didn’t bother to keep track of her whereabouts or what was going on in her life. He didn’t care. It was bad enough there was still evidence of their union on the internet.

Caprina did more than just break Scott; she killed his spirit. She poisoned his heart, making him cold and heartless, treating women as if they were business deals.  He had been her marionette, and Caprina had pulled the strings to make him act and react at her beck and call. She had caused a longstanding riff in his family, etching a permanent place in his life, and she was no longer around. She had destroyed his reputation, and it had taken him years to recover. Now she was coming back because she missed her water. She was coming back because she needed to work with him.

She was coming back to get him.

Scott wondered what Caprina was up to and how long she had been planning it. What occurred in Atlanta was a minor detail. He tried to think back to any time he felt someone following him in Los Angeles and dismissed such notions. Caprina wouldn’t risk being that stupid. She wouldn’t go after him directly; no, that would be too easy. She would go after the one person that meant more to him than life itself.

Mariana.

Scott made a vow to protect his girlfriend no matter what the cost.
But what if the cost is something I can’t afford?

An alarm on his phone suddenly went off, and it interrupted Scott’s thoughts. He had a meeting in a short while and he needed to prepare. He would have to deal with Caprina later.

It was the weekly two-hour meeting between the Golf Boys and Scott in which they talked business for thirty minutes and everything else for the remaining time. They met in Scott’s office.

“So, how are you feeling, Ice?” Michael asked as he passed cigars.

“I’m feeling just fine. Why you ask?”

“Because of the Great Disaster,” Rich chimed in. “We can always give the account to someone else.”

“Don’t be silly, Rich,” Scott didn’t have a gleam or flicker in his eyes, “I can handle the account, and I can handle
her
.”

“I know it might be uncomfortable considering your past history between you two,” Michael pressed on, “and I just wanted to tell you, and I think I speak for Rich when I say this, we have your back.”

“Thank you,” Scott replied.

“I do have to ask one more question, though.” Rich began.

Scott knew where the discussion was headed before Rich asked. “Yes?”

“Why did you intentionally assign Mariana on the campaign?” he asked.

“Because she works in Brand Strategy and her department would work on the campaign, anyway,” Scott justified. “The guys are already doing other campaigns, and I didn’t want to bombard them with yet another one.”

“That’s not it,” Rich shook his head.

“All right, Rich,” Scott finally entertained the Golf Boys, “please enlighten me.”

“It’s one of three things. One, you want to intimidate Caprina with your hot new girlfriend. Two, you want the Great Disaster to give you a reason to bow out of the campaign.”

“Those are two reasons,” Scott spoke, “what’s the last one?”

“Lastly, you want a reason,” Richard hesitated, “to let Mariana go if she messes up on the campaign, which you’re hoping she does.”

Michael looked back at Scott. “Is that true?”

Scott took a puff of his cigar and admired the Cuban. “One is definitely true.”

“Chris, you wanted to see me?” Mariana entered his office.

“Yes, come in, Mari. Close the door behind you,” Chris Molina was one of Scott’s trusted creative directors at McCormick and Sheppard. Besides the magnificent work he did on a regular basis, Chris kept Scott up to date on any problems with Mariana. Much to Scott’s happiness, there were very few.

Mariana sat down in front of Chris’s chair. “What’s up?”

“I know what happened the other day was a shell-shock, and honestly, no one saw that coming. We didn’t think she would show her face around here again after what happened with her and Ice years ago. I can completely understand if you want to withdraw from the campaign because it might be too much for you to handle.”

“No,” Mariana shook her head.

“Mari, you don’t have to prove anything to me, Ice, or anyone around here.” Chris reasoned. “It will be completely understandable if you don’t want to work with Ms. Waters on this campaign.”

“No,” Mariana was adamant, “I have admired Ms. Waters’ work from a distance for years, and I still want the opportunity to work with her, regardless of the
former
relationship she had with Mr. Reed.” She emphasized ‘former.’

“Okay,” Chris conceded, “but just let me know if things get too heavy and we’ll work something out for you.”

“Chris, I’m a big girl. I can handle myelf. Caprina doesn’t intimidate me.” Mariana knew it was a big lie, but she continued anyway. “I know I have nothing to prove to anyone else, but I have something to prove to myself. I want to work on this campaign.”

“Okay. That’s all, Mari. You can go now.” Chris said to her and she left. Once Mariana was gone, Chris got on the phone. “I tried to talk her out of it but she insisted on staying in the campaign.”

“All right,” Scott answered back, “keep a close eye on her. If she even misspells a name, I want her off the campaign.”

“You got it, Ice,” Chris replied, “and what about Ms. Waters? Did you want me to watch her as well?”

“No,” Scott replied, “I’ll be watching her like a hawk.”

Sarah sat in the waiting room of her OB/GYN for her first prenatal visit. She was eight weeks along and not a day more. She still couldn’t believe that she pregnant. She was about to embark on a modeling contract and finally get out of the hip-hop video game. Now she was knocked up with Eric’s baby.

Eric’s baby. Not Scott’s.

Sarah waited for the moment to feel guilty about her feelings towards Scott. He was with Mariana and had no interest in anyone else. But Sarah wasn’t actively pursuing him—at least not yet. She just wanted to fantasize about him often and there was no harm in that. No one was getting hurt, and she was getting nothing but pleasure from her fantasies.

The one she had the other day was so hot, she could’ve sworn she broke her dildo because she used it so hard. She imagined she and Scott were again participating in
race play,
and she couldn’t get enough of it.

Scott traced the hollow of Sarah’s neck with His tongue while a free hand found her wet slit and played with her aching cunt. “Is this nigger pussy mine, Sarah?”

Sarah squirmed as she gripped the back of her Master’s head. Her cunt was throbbing and begging to be fucked. “It’s yours, Master.”

“My pet,” Scott continued to play with her slit, “say it.”

Sarah’s body yearned for Him, wanting to be completely dominated and controlled. Now she had her chance. She loved being called a nigger by her Master. Some would think it was a part of self-hate or humiliating, but she craved it. Every time her Master called her a nigger, Sarah’s panties got wetter, and she became more aroused. Her panties were currently damp and she knew she was going to be completely wet within seconds.

“This nigger pussy is yours, Master,” she breathed.

“That’s a good slut,” Scott pulled down Sarah’s top and exposed her hardened nipples. He removed His hand from her cunt and traced the outline of her breasts. “I want you suck My cock.”

Sarah kneeled down until she was at face level with her Master’s flaccid cock. She opened her mouth wide and began sucking on her Master’s cock, and it quickly hardened. He pulled her hair out of her face so He could get a better look at her sucking His cock. “That’s right, nigger. That’s all you Black whores are good for is sucking cock,” her Master moaned. “Don’t ever forget it.”

Sarah continued to suck Scott’s cock as He belittled her. The words ‘nigger,’ ‘coon,’ and a variety of stereotypical Black names shot out Scott’s mouth as He watched Sarah please Him. He abruptly stopped her and bent her over the couch. He got behind her and lifted her dress up to her waist.

He slapped her ass a few times and Sarah grunted, trying not to make too much noise. Her Master moved her panties to the side and forced His cock inside her cunt. Sarah yelped at the sudden pressure but Scott held her steady. He possessed her mind and now her body, just the way they both wanted it. “I’m going to fuck this Black pussy like I own it.” He voraciously moved inside her. “Your Black ass is mine, Sarah. Sarah, Sarah, Sarah…”

“Sarah?” The nurse repeatedly called her name.

Sarah was jerked back into reality by the nurse.  “I’m sorry. I was in another world! I’m ready.”

To my Lord, I give my submission. To my Lord, I give my devotion. To my Lord, I give my sex. To my Lord, I give my fears. To my Lord, I give my trust. To my Lord, I give my happiness. To my Lord, I give my everything. My Lord loves me and I love my Lord.

Mariana felt silly for not trusting her Master in assigning the mantras to her. Every morning she repeated them, she felt a bit more confident than she had the previous day. She could breathe a little more easily and smiled more. She could think more clearly and, Mariana dared think, food tasted better.

I need to stop underestimating my Lord.

“I have a surprise for you,” Scott appeared at the doorway.

Mariana turned to him. “Yes, my Lord?”

Large rope dangled from Scott’s fingers. “Follow me.”

Mariana silently followed Scott to their bedroom. “Stay still,” He ordered. He began to tie the rope around her body in
karada
fashion. “You won’t be wearing bra and panties today, My pet.”

Mariana didn’t dare to look down at the contraption her Master put her in. She felt the rope go in between her thighs and her Master slightly tugged on it, brushing against her clit. She just had to trust He knew what He was doing. “Yes, my Lord.”

A few minutes later, Scott was finished and He stepped back to look at His creation. “Absolutely stunning.”  He stepped away so Mariana could see herself in the mirror. “What do you think?”
