“It was an accident.” Liam crawled over to the chair, pushing it back into proper position to check the damage.

Ryan passed his ID to the cop, who just dismissed it and bowed down to try and lift him, but he didn’t seem to know how to go about it.

“I’ll do it!” Liam said, getting up immediately. Ryan was relieved to be back in his warm, strong arms, but he couldn't stop worrying about the chair. It was wobbly, but wouldn't budge when pushed.

“I’ll be honest. We really can’t be bothered to take you to the station. It’s the end of our night so you guys keep quiet about this and we’ll take you home,” he sighed and his partner nodded. “You should never have been drinking with the boy. What were you thinking?” he hissed at Liam and opened the car door.

“Thank you officer... Do you have a first aid kit?” Ryan looked up at him and presented the bleeding forearm.

Liam hugged him even closer. With his lips pressed tight against Ryan’s ear he mouthed, “I’m sorry.”

Ryan wished he wouldn’t have done that. As nice as it was, it only got him longing for something he couldn’t get.

“We’re
the police
. Of course we have a first aid kit... God, why does this always happen to us?” muttered the first cop on his way to the car. The other policeman took the wheelchair, shaking his head at the bent wheel.

Why doesn’t exciting stuff like this always happen to me
? Ryan thought.

Chapter 8

Liam looked down at Ryan, who sat on the grass in front of the hotel gate, as the police car disappeared from their sight. Ryan didn’t even look at him, staring at Roger’s house in the distance. He squinted.

Liam swallowed and looked towards the smaller house at the end of the road. It was completely dark, or so it seemed, until Liam noticed a moving glow in one of the windows in the second floor. “What the hell? Is that a flashlight?”

“You think that’s a burglar or something? Should we call the police back?” Ryan frowned.

Liam cleared his throat, happy with the distraction from what they should be actually talking about. “Nah, he’s probably playing those games where they dress up as wizards and trolls and shit like that. He looks like that would be his pastime.”

“I bet he’s the troll,” Ryan said without even a hint of a smile and rubbed his bandaged arm with a tiny hiss.

Liam’s face fell. He fucked up. He endangered Ryan and wasn’t even responsible enough to skip the drinking to get them home safely. He was a horrible caretaker.

Ryan’s legs in the braces were awkwardly bent to the side and with one of his arms bandaged, he looked like a victim of a brutal accident. His hair and makeup were all messed up, but he didn’t complain. Liam shoved his hands into the pockets of his jeans, waiting for his sentence.

“I’ll pay for the repair,” he finally said, unable to hold back any longer.

Ryan sighed and held out his arms him. “It’s a bummer.”

“Sorry I... let myself go.” Liam picked him up and slowly walked towards the building. Now that he had been drinking, he was thankful for Ryan’s metabolism. Even with all the fast food he used to eat, he was light as a feather. “It just didn’t... feel like work.“

Ryan’s grip tightened around his neck. “Yeah, you can’t take care of me for shit.”

That hurt. Kinda, because he imagined Ryan hurt more than him, as he didn't have much muscle to protect his bones. Liam slowly got up the stairs to the hotel and stopped in front of the closed door.

“Key’s in my pocket.” Ryan took a deep breath and nuzzled his neck. This gesture sent a spark right to Liam’s groin and for a moment, it felt almost like being with a lover, ready to get into his home for the first time. Like in the movies. Romantic things like that were never part of Liam’s life.

“I don’t have a third hand.” He laughed, reflexively crooking his head to the other side, arching his neck towards Ryan.

“Sorry. Just hold me tight.” Ryan fished out the key from his pocket.

“I’m always holding you tight.” Liam finally smiled, recognizing that Ryan wasn’t angry with him, even though he had fucked up so hard today. And there he was thinking the only thing he could do wrong would be to start an affair with Ryan. Man, was he wrong.

“Next few days might be quite hard for you, until I get the chair repaired.” Ryan opened the door of the hotel. “Sorry.”

“I can manage.” Liam smiled at Rodney who looked at them from behind the tidy reception desk. It looked dark and elegant with the carving on the sides.

“Wow, what happened to you two?” he asked, looking up at them from what was clearly a gay BDSM novel... about clowns? Liam decided not to ask.

“Everything!” Ryan smiled and hooked his arm around Liam's neck again. “We got smashed at an S&M club, a handsome bear hit on me, and we got stopped by the police!” He cuddled up to Liam, but it wasn't all that unusual when he was still smelling like a distillery. “Best night ever!”

“Yeah?” Liam spoke out without thinking. His heart skipped up a beat. Ryan was so... enthusiastic.

“From the sound of it I wish I was there!” Rodney laughed.

“So you actually
had
fun?” Liam’s grin widened as he looked at Ryan’s cute face. Even with the black eyeshadow all smeared over his eyes, he looked absolutely delicious.

“Are you kidding me? I had never had so much fun,” he uttered in a whisper, glancing into Liam’s eyes, but quickly averted his gaze.

Rodney broke the sudden silence. “Whoa, get a room, lovebirds! Though you’d only have seven to choose from today!”

“Oh shut up!” Ryan sighed, curling up in Liam’s arms. It was adorable enough to give Liam this really weird sensation of his face tingling.

“Are you saying we have three rooms booked today?” Liam asked.

“Pretty much, yeah. Quick for those flyers to get us the money back.” Rodney leaned back in his chair.

“Rod, I’m still drunk. We’ll talk about it tomorrow,” Ryan mumbled, closing his eyes against Liam’s neck. His fluttering eyelashes teased the skin, but Liam chose to ignore it.

“Get his chair, Rod.” He walked towards the elevator. “It’s in front of the gate.”

Rodney got up and put his book down. “Okay, okay.”

“It’s broken Rod, just leave it somewhere downstairs.” Ryan didn’t even open his eyes.

“Wow, that really had to be some night then.”

“It was kinda epic.” Liam pushed the elevator button with his hip and leaned against the wall.

“It was super epic.” Ryan looked up at him, all hazy. “Sorry if I’m sort of... I dunno... flirty, or whatever. You know I don’t mean anything, right?”

“It’s cool. I’m drunk anyway,” Liam promised. He liked the flirting. Ryan was better at it than he admitted. Or maybe it was Liam's brilliant one-lesson course that got him going?

“You’re so chilled out. I love that about you.” Ryan smiled as they went into the elevator and Liam couldn't help, but reciprocate.

“Hey, a guy has to have some good qualities.”

“Yeah, otherwise I’d have to fire you.” He felt Ryan play with his messed up hair.

“And I’d have to suck you off for you to reconsider,” Liam dared.

“Exactly! I can just see you washing your teeth for hours.”

They went out into the corridor and now were only a staircase away from Ryan’s bedroom.

“Why, I thought protein was good for teeth.” Liam slowly climbed the stairs, amused when Ryan just gave him a blank stare. He wiggled his eyebrows, though his stomach tightened. “What, you think I’m gonna be scared of some homo mambo jumbo? If junkies can do it to buy crack, I can do it to keep my job.”

Ryan burst out with laughter. “I can’t believe you just compared yourself to a crack-addict.”

“At least it’s not ‘cum-addict’. Although that might depend on the donor.”

“What the fuck are you on about?” Ryan couldn’t stop laughing.

“You know... like those guys who gather used condoms and suck the cum out of them. That’s not a healthy addiction. And me, I’m a health freak.” Liam concluded, opening Ryan’s door with his elbow.

“A health freak who smokes like a baby dragon?” Ryan shook his head. “And as much as I like cum, I wouldn’t go as far a sucking it out of rubbers.”

“Good, at least I’m not gonna catch anything when I have to opt for the Great Sacrifice.” Liam didn’t turn on the light. He just strolled over to Ryan’s bed and lowered him gently to the mattress. He stayed in a slightly bent position, unwilling to pull away yet, with the intimacy being so delicious.

Ryan giggled and reached for one of the tentacles of the stuffed octopus he kept on his bed. “You can practice on this until then.” It turned out the toy had a zipper in there, and Ryan pulled out something that looked like a small vibrator. It actually had Liam blushing. He knew Ryan wasn't your usual boss, but he’d never suspect he kept sex toys in his plushie. That actually tickled his imagination in all the wrong... or right, places.

“Shit, man, I hope you use scented lube with that,” was all he could say at this point.

“Why?” Ryan laughed and laid on his back, poking Liam’s chest with the thing. At least it wasn’t on.

“Because you want me to take it in the mouth, you little shit!” Liam let out a yelp, catching Ryan’s wrist and playfully trying to immobilize both of his hands.

The vibrator fell to the comforter and Ryan opened his lips in disbelief. “What’s wrong with you? I wash it.”

“I sure hope so.” Liam’s imagination hoped that someday he would accidentally walk in on Ryan’s little
tete-a-te
with this thing.

“So how will it be? You wanna have a go?” With his wrists restrained, Ryan lifted his eyebrows and eyed the toy. “I could give you a few pointers. For when you’re a crack addict.”

Liam shivered when he heard how husky his breath was. Somehow, this conversation got more arousing than funny. “Blowjob masterclass summer seminar?”

“Exactly! Maybe I should host something like that that at the hotel to gather interest. A blowjob conference.” Ryan didn’t even try to pull his wrists out of the grip, and the predator in Liam was preparing for a jump, ready to take his prey.

“Show me, professor Richards.” Liam practically purred, picking up the vibrator from the comforter.

“Oh yeah? I thought you were the... ‘boss’.” Ryan raised his eyebrows. So he did notice the tattoo.

Liam felt lightheaded. “You know what else I am?” He blindly reached for the light switch and turned on the small bedside lamp. It’s glow illuminated Ryan’s cute, flushed face.

“What?” His hair was a mess and so was his make-up, but his cheeks were all pink and alive. Though the half-closed eyelids gave the impression that he wasn’t all there.

Liam growled, slowly pressing two fingers to his own bottom lip in a reversed victory sign just to pull it down and reveal his most private tattoo. He was pretty sure Ryan hasn’t seen it yet.

And it did make an impression. The boy took a deep breath and opened his eyes wider. “Oh wow...” he managed, registering the word ‘Fucker’ on the inner side of Liam’s bottom lip.

“Sexy, isn’t it?” he teased.

“Y--yeah...” Ryan pulled at the comforter to cover himself, even though he was still in his clothes and shoes. A wave of tenderness washed over Liam and he gave Ryan a small smile, realizing he was probably trying to hide the evidence of arousal. He switched the small vibrator on and pushed the tip against Ryan’s much-too-clothed chest, looking into his face for a reaction.

“Don’t make fun of me.” Ryan shied away, his face not pink, but bright red by now.

“Come on, I’m not.” Liam hardened his grip on Ryan’s other wrist and pushed it into the pillow. He slowly moved the vibrator up the narrow chest, his own cock twitching in his pants. He didn’t even understand why he was doing this to himself.

“No? What are you doing then?” Ryan asked in confusion, looking vulnerable as ever. The silence became unbearable and suddenly, the idea of tricking Ryan into sucking on the toy didn’t seem as great as just seconds before. Liam rolled the thing off the boy’s chest and onto the comforter where it was still buzzing like a horny hornet. He already hurt Ryan, broke his wheelchair, got drunk and now was topping up the day an attempt at seducing him. If that didn’t make him the biggest douchebag in the universe, he didn’t know what else he could do to earn that title. To a disabled boy he shouldn’t date. Or fuck for that matter.

“Sorry, got over excited.” He leaned in, planting a chaste kiss on Ryan’s hot forehead. It smelled so good he almost flicked his tongue out to lick the wet skin.

Ryan smiled and looked away. “Leave that energy for tomorrow. It’s gonna be tough without the wheelchair. Just bring me a bowl if I need to pee. Or puke." He tried to laugh it off, but he was less relaxed than before.

“Sure, just ask me if you need anything.” Liam quickly got a plastic bowl from the bathroom. He used it to hide his boner, but when he got back, Ryan was already asleep.

Not knowing what to do, he slowly put the bowl next to the bed and looked down at him. Ryan looked so serene, even all those piercings on his face didn’t make him seem less peaceful. Would he wake up if Liam touched his legs? He shouldn’t. Liam licked his lips, gently cupping his own crotch as he put the other palm over the boy’s knee. It was covered by a kneecap piece of the leg brace, but he could touch the side and underneath the knee. With the thin, skinny jeans, he could feel the heat through the fabric. Sighing, he sat down on the bed to pull Ryan’s shoes off. He had small feet for a man. Liam wanted to kiss them, even if this wasn’t his scene. In the end though, he decided it wouldn't be such a good Idea, as he'd certainly wake Ryan up if he touched his shoes or braces. He retreated out of Ryan's bedroom as quietly as he could and backed off to his own bed, where he had the jerk off of a lifetime.
