I didn’t think her grin could get any wider. I was wrong. Dimples deepened on her cheeks, highlighting her mouth. Her fingers framed my face. “I kicked the curse’s butt.”

Did I hear her correctly? My ears must have deceived me, because I think she said that she had broken the curse. But it didn’t make sense. How had Kat been able to do what many others never could? “How?”

“Apparently I am an unweaver.”

I raised a brow.

“My grandma informed me that I have the power to undo spells. And ”

That actually made sense now that I had a moment to think about it, and I didn’t know why I hadn’t put it together sooner. “I can’t believe this is real.”

She looked up at me. “Oh, it’s real. Should I pinch you?”

I smirked.

Then she pressed her mouth to mine in a soul-burning kiss. Her lips were like satin under mine, demanding and potent. No sooner had our lips sealed did I feel the tingles of magick. Our bond was spurring us on. A small squeak of surprise escaped Kat and was drowned by my lips. The tingles that I know we both felt were followed by the reappearance of a third star. We were cementing our connection.

I couldn’t believe that the pandemonium was really over. Pulling back just a tad, I stared down into her flushed face. “I still can’t believe that this is real. That you are real.”

“Here. Let me help you with that.” She pinched me.

My lips curved. “Point taken.” I dropped another kiss on her lips.

She looked up at me with huge owl eyes that glinted in the moonlight. “I take it that means you still want me?”

Please. Who was she kidding? “I want a lifetime with you. A multitude of kisses.”

“Then we will have just that,” she said.

And I believed her. Ours was an undying love.

So you want to know what happened after Seth and I broke the curse, defeating the odds? Wondering what happened to the circle of five? Did Seth and I ride off into the sunset, make a gazillion little nixie babies and live happily ever after?

Well those are adventures for another day.
