And it’s not enough for me, either.

I suck him into my mouth, swirling my tongue around him. He pulses in me, thrusting slightly, and I hollow my cheeks and suck him even harder. His hips jerk and his hands fly to my head, pausing me in my movement.

I want him.

“Let me,” he says.

He holds my head in place, gently fucking my mouth. I place my hand at the top of him, squeezing him there, and his pace quickens. I take his balls, rolling them, scraping my nails lightly against him.

“Hailey.” He pulls out of my mouth. “I need you.”

Caleb tugs me up, kissing me, and I take his shirt in my hands, tearing at the buttons. He breaks away, ripping the shirt off, and tosses it aside. He takes me in his arms, his fingers unhooking my bra, and it’s caught between our bodies. I take a step backward, my knees hitting his bed, and the bra falls softly to the ground. My breasts feel heavy, my nipples tight, and my core wet and wanting to be filled by him.

He lowers his head, taking a nipple in his mouth, and I tighten my arms around his neck, his name a muttered sigh in the air. His teeth nip the tip of my breast, and I run my fingers down the back of his neck.

My knees start to buckle, my body finally losing the battle to this overdose of pleasure and still wanting more . . . needing more.

Caleb catches me in his arms, sweeping me up, and lowers me to his bed. I bounce lightly against the mattress, and he kisses my mouth again. His hands go to my panties, lifting my hips up just enough so he can lower them. The panties are tossed aside, and I’m as naked as he is.

For a moment, we just stare at each other, devouring each other with just our eyes.

His eyes run up and down my body, taking their fill, and everywhere he looks, my body burns for his touch, for his mouth, for everything that is Caleb. I take my fill, too. His body is magnificent, toned, built, and I want to lick him all over.

“I need you,” I say.

Caleb runs a hand down my body, tracing my slight curves, feeling the heaviness of my breasts that have always been bigger for my size (all natural, thank you very much). He lightly pinches my nipples, and I gasp at the pleasure-pain coursing in me. He soothes it by sucking one nipple into his mouth. I clench, my core slick and needing him.

His mouth trails kisses to my other breast. He dips his tongue against my nipple, swirling around it, teasing it to a hard, berry-colored point, taking it between his teeth. And then he sucks deep, hard. My hips lift off the bed, my hands clenching on his shoulders, and everything tightens in me.

He presses his hand against me.
Finally.

I moan in relief, then in anticipation when he rubs me. He traces a finger down the seam of my lips of my vagina, dipping inside, breaching me. Thrusting.

“You feel so good.”

He adds another finger, pushing in me; his thumb brushes my clit.

“So tight.”

He kisses me, our mouths hard, desperate, and wanting so much more.

“So wet.”

He pinches my clit, and I yell out his name, a sound of so much yearning.

“Mine,” he says. “You’re mine.”

He removes his hand and quickly reaches down to the box of condoms. He unwraps one and puts it on.

I reach for him, bringing him back to me, and moan as our bodies meet. “Caleb.”

“I’m with you. Right here.” He presses his body to mine, his chest rubbing my breasts. He raises one of my legs, pressing it up and out, so I’m even more open than before. “Always.”

Caleb reaches down, putting his cock against me, the tip kissing my entrance.

I gasp as he starts to enter me, stretching me, his hard, hot cock touching me in all the right places.

“Good,” I pant. “You feel so good. So mine.”

“Yours,” he says, his voice low, harsh with desires. “All yours.”

And then he thrusts the rest of the way in, filling me completely. He stays there for a moment, letting me adjust to the size and feel of him.

“You good?” He brushes the strands of my waves off my face, then tenderly kisses me.

I nod, not trusting myself to speak. I roll my hips, squeezing him, and he hisses out a breath.

I do it again.

His eyes lock onto mine, and he thrusts out and then back in. Hard.

He moves against me, taking me, his cock sliding in and out. My body is slick with sweat, my heart racing, and I clench around him, then bite his lower lip before soothing it with a kiss.

“Caleb.” Another hard, wet kiss. Another hard, hot thrust. “Please.”

He lets go, I let go, and our pace turns fast, furious. He pounds into me, the bed slamming against the wall, and I’m so tight, so ready to really let go . . . but I need . . . I need . . .

His hand is suddenly against me, touching my clit. Rubbing. Pressing. Urging me.

“Come, Hailey,” he grits out. “Come with me.”

He thrusts deep, pressing on me at the same time, and I cry out, release sweeping over me. Tremors of pleasure still run through me, and Caleb starts thrusting, and oh God, I start to quake with a new release. He slows his pace down—I don’t even know how—moving slowly, surely against me, stroking me to fall softly into him.

I do, sobbing out his name as I come again, and then Caleb quickens his pace, thrusting deep, and lets out a low moan of my name as he comes.

His heart pounds against mine, his lips whisper over me, and we stay locked like that for a moment. Then he raises his body. “I’ll just take care of this and be back.”

He gets up, removing the condom, and tosses it into his trashcan. He slips a towel around his waist, then leaves the room, but returns in a matter of seconds with a damp washcloth. Caleb cleans me, tossing it to the floor when he’s done, and then takes me in his arms.

“You want me to stay over?” I say, stroking his arms.

He squeezes me, nipping the curve of my neck in reproach. “I’m not letting you go.”

I smile in the darkness and soon fall asleep in his arms.

Chapter 20

M
ORNING COMES WAY TOO SOON.

And I’m alone in his bed, the sheets rumpled from last night.

I wonder where Caleb is. Maybe he went to let the pets out.

I yawn, stretching my arms over my head, my muscles a little sore. I have to get up anyway to use the bathroom, but the bed is so nice and cozy that I’m reluctant to leave. And perhaps it’s just that I’m afraid once I leave this bed that things will change between us. That it won’t be the same.

Well, it won’t be the same regardless. We did have sex.

I sit up, swinging my legs over the edge of his mattress, and get up. I have no desire to put my costume back on, so I just grab a t-shirt and pajama shorts he has on a chair. I put the clothes on, then head to the bathroom to freshen up.

Caleb’s not in the bathroom, and the house is quiet, still in recovery mode from Halloween and the partying, no doubt.

After I’m done in the bathroom, I decide to head downstairs to look for Caleb.

I find him in the kitchen, mixing something in a bowl. His inky black hair is disheveled, and I just have this urge to mess it up even more. He has a pair of cotton blue pajama shorts and a grey t-shirt on, and he keeps looking back from a sheet to the bowl before him.

I lean against the wall. “Hey, you.”

Caleb looks up at me, a smile lighting his face. “Hey, back. You’re up early. I was trying to surprise you.”

“So are you.” I push away from the wall, then walk to the island. “Hope you don’t mind that I’m wearing your stuff.”

“Not at all.”

I pull out a stool, sitting on it. “What’s this?”

“Breakfast.”

“I know that.” I roll my eyes. “What’s the breakfast?”

“Chocolate chip pancakes.” Caleb resumes stirring and frowns down at the bowl. “I hope.”

I smile, delighted he’s making me chocolate chip pancakes, even though I lost the bet last night. “You know you could buy them where you just pour the batter out, right?”

“Yeah. We don’t have that in the house. I’m lucky we had even the stuff I needed for this.” He looks over at me, as if he suddenly thought of something. “You said you like them, right?”

“Definitely. I haven’t had them in . . .” I pause, thinking the math over in my head. “Since I was little. Maybe around the same time I stopped eating dessert?”

He stops suddenly, the spoon banging against the side of the bowl. “You haven’t had pancakes for that long?”

“Pancakes were on the definite no list.”

“You didn’t have to eat pancakes in any of your movies or TV shows?”

“The spit bucket, remember?”

Caleb makes a face and holds up the spoon, pancake batter dripping off it into the bowl. “And not even since you’ve left . . .”

“No. I usually just do oatmeal. Sometimes a scone if I want to treat myself.” I shrug. “It’s not like I keep that instant batter in my apartment, either.”

“So, you’ll be popping your pancake cherry with me.”

“Funny.”

“I thought so.” Caleb doesn’t resume stirring though, just keeps looking at me. No doubt wondering how I could stand being famous for all those years, constantly depriving myself. “I better make this good then.”

“I don’t know . . .” I eye the batter skeptically. “That’s not looking too good for you right now.”

“That’s because I haven’t added the secret ingredient yet.”

“What’s the secret ingredient?”

“If I told you, then it wouldn’t be a secret.”

I raise an eyebrow. “You have no idea what the secret ingredient is, do you?”

“Not telling,” he says. “There’s orange juice and milk in the fridge. Instant coffee’s near the pot. But you don’t like that, do you? I think we might have tea, maybe from one of the girls who Nick or Jamie dated.”

I still can’t believe Caleb hasn’t dated anyone in over six months. “What about Griff? He doesn’t have girls over?”

“Griff is monk-like. Doesn’t drink. He’s a vegetarian, too.”

“Really?”

“Yeah.”

“I’m surprised that he doesn’t have anyone. He’s nice. He helped me out when I was really struggling with my classes.”

“He’s solid,” Caleb agrees with a nod. “All the guys are actually. Hey, would you get me a glass of OJ? Please.”

“Aw, look at you with your good manners.” I get off the stool. “Glasses are . . .?”

“Left cabinet by the microwave.”

I find them and grab two. “Ice?”

“Yes, please.”

I put some ice cubes in each glass, then pour the orange juice in them. It’s not until I’m putting the juice back in the fridge and close the door that I realize what he just did.

I lightly bang my head against the door, holding tight onto the drinks.

“I can’t believe I just fell for that!”

“What?” he asks.

I turn around. “Oh, don’t give me that. You totally distracted me just now.”

“I have no idea what you mean,” he says innocently.

A little
too
innocently.

“You totally had me get drinks so you could slip the secret ingredient into the pancakes!”

“It
is
a secret,” he says. “And now you’ll never know.”

He grins a little evilly and rubs his hands together like a cartoon villain.

I laugh at him, throwing a wadded up napkin his way.

“Man,” I say. “I really can’t believe I didn’t see that.”

Caleb walks to me, kissing me on the tip of my nose. “Sucker.”

T
HE CHOCOLATE CHIP PANCAKES ARE
delicious, but I still have no idea what the secret ingredient is.

And Caleb isn’t spilling.

“Where is everyone?” I ask.

“Not sure about Jamie and Nick,” Caleb says. “Griff is probably working with his older brother.”

“What does his brother do?”

“Jack’s a mechanic. Owns his own shop.”

“So it’s just you four in this house.”

“Yeah. Kai and Dylan live in a house with two other guys. Dylan’s probably training today—he wants to go pro for baseball. And Kai is probably with some girl.”

“How did you guys all meet? You said you were roommates with Nick from the start.”

“We were paired up together freshman year. Jamie lived on the floor below us, but Jamie is just one of those guys who everyone knows and likes. So Jamie pretty much knew everyone the first day of college.” Caleb takes another pancake and puts it on my plate. “Griff was Jamie’s roommate from the start. I wasn’t sure that was going to work out, really—Jamie talks so much and Griff . . .”

“Griff doesn’t.”

“Dylan was in one of my classes, and Kai was in one of Nick’s. Basically we just started hanging out and all became friends.” Caleb takes a bite of his pancake. “What about you?”

“Friends?”

“Yeah, that. Or whatever else you want to tell me.”

“I thought I had friends, but it’s kind of hard to still consider someone a friend when they sell stories about you.”

Caleb winces. “That sucks.”

“Yeah.”

“What about . . .” He swirls a slice of his pancake in the maple syrup. “What about that guy? The big movie star. The one you were always seen with? Alex Randall.”

“Alex?”

“Yeah. Him.”

“He was a friend.”

“Did he sell you out, too?”

“No. Alex would never do that to me.” Alex and I both had our secrets that we wanted to keep. “Alex thought it was stupid for me to leave . . . to attend college. Everyone did. They said I was throwing away my career. I was on a path, and they said by going away I would lose that.”

“Really?”

“Yeah. One second you’re hot, the next . . . not so much.”

“And you’re okay with that? You really want to walk away from it all?”

I don’t even have to think about it. “Yes.”

Chapter 21

“I
SMELL PANCAKES!”

That’s all the warning we get before Jamie runs into the kitchen, still in his costume from last night, although looking a little worse for wear.

Jamie comically skids to a stop, his light blue eyes widening when he sees me. Goliath bumps into his legs, jumping all over him in his excitement.

“Hailey!” he booms, face splitting into a grin as he looks toward Caleb, then kneels to pet Goliath. “About damn time.”
