"Scarlet," I say. I want to say more, but I don't even know where to start.

"What?" she asks.

"We're doing a shower scene." I decide this is what I want to say. "We just went through all that trouble so we're doing a fucking shower scene. I don't care. We'll figure it out. I'm sure they make lenses that won't fog or something, and we can find a shower to use somewhere."

"Are you sure?" she asks. "You don't mind? I haven't written the script yet, so I can just get rid of the shower scene part. It's not that big a deal."

"No," I say, firm. "We're doing it."

We reach the stairs at the end of the hallway that lead up to my dorm floor. I open the door to the stairwell for her, and she steps in. , I want to say that there will be more of Ethan and Ashley! I'm planning on doing a Stepbrother With Benefits 19 to end the series. You can think of this book as the beginning of the end if you want, though. Season Three will be coming to a close very soon.

This book was a little complicated for me to write for a few reasons, but I'm happy with how it turned out. I just wanted to take a second to let you know how I plan to continue the series from here, though. I think you'll really enjoy it!

To begin with, I wanted to take a little time to let Ethan and Ashley enjoy themselves together. They're a little crazy sometimes, haha. They've kind of been missing out on being together for a little while, so I thought it'd be fun to let them catch up a little. It seemed like the sort of thing they'd do. I also wanted to allow for a sort of calm before the storm, and to let them regroup and recover before going into the ending.

One other thing that I decided to do is leave the possibility open of another story with Brittany as the main character. I have some future plans for her that I think will be fun to explore and talk about! I'm going to work on Caleb and Scarlet before that, but I decided I wanted to be able to do more, so I gave Brittany a more prominent role in this one. Her secret reveal to Ethan and Ashley will likely be the main aspect of any stories I write about her, but I wanted to deal with it in a different sort of way. I might write some bonus scenes with Brittany soon, as well.

I also wanted to get everything in order as far as how to deal with Jake. There's the open or public plan involving Scarlet's art exhibit and the play, and then there's the private plan between the girls that might not be a good idea. We'll see how that one turns out. I have a few twists and turns I'm planning, but I'll leave those for next time. It'll be different from what you might expect, though.

That's a lot of what this episode has, though. Things are a little different! I wanted to set a lot up so that I can bring it all together in a few different ways for the end. I could have ended this faster, but after writing so much about Ethan and Ashley, and even Caleb and Scarlet, I wanted to make sure I ended their story on a really good note that everyone felt comfortable with.

That's why there's going to be more. There'll definitely be a Stepbrother With Benefits 19 coming soon! I plan on having it out sooner rather than later. I had a few minor distractions that slowed me down for Stepbrother With Benefits 18, but they're all taken care of now, so it's full steam ahead for the next book.
