When they pulled away from each other, the two siblings felt a new sense of hope, relief. They somehow knew that things for their family would only get better
,
and that anyone who didn’t have their best interest at heart would be in for a rude awakening. Coffee wanted to hear Sugah’s voice
.
He wanted
to also let her know that he wouldn’t be having class that day. He excused himself and dialed her number on his cell phone. “It went straight to voicemail and that was strange. Sugah never turned her phone off. He tried again and the same thing happened. He walked back into the kitchen feeling like
the inside of his chest was about to cave in. Something was wrong. He could feel it. Sugah was in trouble.

“Is everything okay, you look like you just saw a ghost or something?” Java watched her brother take a seat and put his head between in legs, r
ocking
back and forth. She didn’t have to ask again. She knew in that moment that something was bothering him.

“What happened? Sugah didn’
t pick up, huh,” Java said. She felt something weird too. “Let’s go. We need to get to her now!” Coffee quickly followed her. Java pulled out of the driveway, speeding off like she was racing for the title in NASCAR.

Chapter 33

Sugah got dressed and was ready to leave her apartment when she heard a light tap on her door. She wasn’t expecting anyone
,
so she wondered who it could be. She looked into the peephole and saw the UPS man. Breathing a sigh of relief, she opened the door. “Good Morning”, she said. The guy never looked up at her, only nodded his head up. “Rude ass” Sugah thought.
Handing her what looked like a shoe
box
, he still didn’t lift his head
to face her
.
He didn’t even hand her anything to sign for the package. That was unusual. That is
also
when she realized something wasn’t right about this entire ordeal. Normally Sugah couldn’t get away from the UPS man fast enough without him flirting with her and drooling all over himself. But not this guy, he seemed all business and was rude as hell. Maybe she would just call the hotline and form a complaint against him. When she looked at his shirt, his name didn’t appear in the upper left side like all the times before. There was definitely something up, Sugah kept telling herself.
Just as Sugah was about let Spice onto the scene
to give the guy a good cursing out,
something happened. She was zapped with
a handheld device
and then h
ear
d herself
hit
the floor
.
Complete darkness followed.

When Sugah woke up she was in the backseat of a
moving vehicle
.
From the size of it she realized
after glancing around,
that it was a van.
The bumping sound of something next to her swayed from side-to-side as the van swiveled in and out of what Sugah assumed as traffic. The black plastic bag shifted, indicating that something heavy was inside. Sugah hoped it wasn’t what she thought it was in that moment. Her heart started racing, but she had to calm down. She didn’t want to bring any attention to herself.
After all, she didn’t know who she was dealing with. Her abductees would have hell to pay if she ever freed herself, Sugah guaranteed in her thoughts.

There were no windows, so she couldn’t see exactly wh
ere
she was going. No handles were on the inside of the door. It would be hard to escape if she tried to make a run for it.
A powerful stench filled her nostrils and Sugah knew the scent anywhere. Blood, she recalled the last time she met the aroma head on. She shook those thoughts and focused. That memory was too painful and she couldn’t afford to lose control right now. The van sped up and the black, plastic bag moved each time
they
turned a curve, or swayed in and out, lane after lane. There was definitely something in that bag that
was making
such a massive thump up against the side of the vehicle. Fear begin to rise inside her, but Sugar willed the feeling away. “You’re still in control”, she told herself inside her head over and over.

Trying to move, her
entire body felt like lightning had struck her. Her head was pounding and she couldn’t move
as she had hoped
. S
ugah
then realized that she was tied u
p. Her mouth was taped and she
couldn’t really make out the two
images
sitting in the front seats of the van. They were talking but their voices sounded muffled. What was happening, Sugah thought. Was she being kidnapped? Who would want to kidnap her? As soon as the question composed in her head, she thought about Mya and Simone. Those two were trouble. Sugah tried not to panic. She was furious. All she wanted to do was free herse
lf so that she could surprise he
r kidnapper
s
when she attacked them without their knowledge. She listened closely to see if she could make out any words they said, all the while working to free her hands from the rope. Whoever it was were no amateur
s, Sugah thought trying to undo
the ro
pe. The more she messed with
it
the tighter it became. Yeah, they knew what they were doing.

The van came to a complete stop and Sugah pretended to be asleep. She needed more information in order to get herself out of this predicament. She didn’t want to act too soon and get herself killed. Maybe it was the organization testing her or taking her to her next assignment. Nah, Coffee had just left her and hadn’t mentioned anything about a new assignment. He wouldn’t do anything to harm her, none of them, with the exception of Cappuccino
,
she thought. What if he was the one behind all this? For his sake, he better hope not, Sugah concluded. He would pay severely if he was behind this little charade.
Suddenly she heard voices.

How many volts did you zap
her with? She is still out. Come on, help me get her into the house before someone comes and see us. You know they are not going to like this, but we need her for ransom.
And please get rid of the body. I told you we should have just left it where it was. No one is going to suspect us.

Sugah was shocke
d. She knew exactly who had her.
S
he just couldn’t believe it. When she heard the next voice, she was even more appalled. Why did
Moch
a and Cappuccino have her? What were they up to? Sugah wanted to open her eyes and demand that they let her go, but knew that wouldn’t be such a good idea.
She
didn’t
know Mocha didn’t
like her
. What was this all about?
Cap didn’
t care for her but never had she guessed he
would stoop to this.

“I should kill this bitch and leave her body in the desert to rot in the sun.”

Why do you hate her so much Mo
,” she heard Cap ask. “What did she ever do to you?”

“It’s not her, it’s her mother. My mother and her mother used to live at the same home a long time ago, but things went south between them
,
and my mother wants to use Sugah as her revenge. I love my mother and if we have a real chance at a relationship, I have to do this. She needs my help. My mama has never asked me for anything until now, and I cannot let her down. I don’t like doing this because I know that it isn’t going to end well but I cannot go against my m
ama
, ever.”
Mocha sounded like a lost little girl trying to please her mother. Sugah felt slightly sorry for her.

“Bitch, why did you get me involved in all this
bullshit
? I told you I went to Xavier and worked it all out. He was willing to
l
et bygones be bygones, but nooooo…you and your crazy ass mama wanna kidnap people a
nd shit. This is beyond crazy Moch
a, and you know it. I don’t want any part in this. I will help you get her into the house and then I’m gone.
And the body, you on your own it that.
Forget your ass even saw me today. I am dead serious. I cannot go to jail. I’m too pretty and would ge
t fucked all day, every day. Not
that I would mind, but not like that. I just can’…”

“Shut the fuck up you sorry excuse for a man. Damn, you act just like a bitch! I didn’t want to believe that you were gay in the first place but each time I’m around your ass, you get sweeter and more feminine. And you think Espresso want your girly-acting ass! Please, he may as well stay with a real girl, who can give him more than a piece of ass
or a blow job. Let’s face it you cannot beat the powerful effects that pussy have on a dick
.
That shit is golden!
Sorry mutha fucka! I should beat the hell outta your ass before I let you leave. Punk bitch! I hate your ass. I have never liked you. I should have just put you out of
your misery a long time ago.
Now, hurry the fuck up and grab the bitches’ legs.”

Cap w
anted to slap the piss out of Moch
a.
Who
did she think he was? He was not
a
pushover or sissy. He was still a damn man and she wouldn’t continue to speak to him like he was her child.
“Bitch look! I don’t
know
who the
fuck
you think you talking to but
if you know what’s good for you, you will keep your mouth closed
!
I am not the one to play with. I know you think you badass, but you really don’t know me well enough to think you can just say or do anything to me and I let it ride. And
if you didn’t know, now you do!
So, be warned Bitch!
Now try me if you like but it may be your last time. I knew your skinny-ass was crazy the first time Latte introduced us, but I was willing to give you a chance. I should have followed my first mind and told them to stay away from you. Simple ass trick, you and your crazy
fucking
mama have lost ya’ll damn minds!
I outta beat your ass just so you know not to ever talk shit to me like that again. Come the fuck on, I don’t wanna be around your ass any longer than I have to! Shit!

Moch
a was shocked, stunned by how manly Cap suddenly sounded. She got aroused. If he wasn’t into boys she would have fucked the shit outta him and then sent him on his merry way. But she couldn’t chance getting involved with him. There is
no telling who he slept with or
if he used protection. She loved to fuck but she didn’t need anything that she couldn’t get rid of. She had had her share of sexually transmitted diseases because of having multiple partners, but never anything a shot of penicillin couldn’t kill. “Okay, I hear ya. You told me, huh,” she said laughing in Cap’s face. M
och
a knew that that would really piss him off
. From the look in his eyes, she
knew that he wanted to hurt her and badly. She didn’t care and wasn’t scared of his punk-ass. What was he gonna do to her? She ran the show and if he
wasn’t careful, he would be put in his final resting place
just like the bitch resting in the back of the van parked outside
.

Sucking in his breath, Cappuccino helped M
och
a get Sugah from the van and into the house. “This bitch wasn’t heavy. You could have lifted her ass up by yourself tramp. I don’t like you, so now you know it and we don’t have to pretend like
we all peaches and cream,

Cappuccino spat.
Despite the situation, M
och
a found herself laughing. Maybe now that she knew he had a backbone they could start over and possibly be friends for real.
Either way, things would be different between them.
She would need an ally once the shit really hit the fan.
Her thoughts were interrupted again by his constant whining. Damn it was sad how a man wanted to be a woman so badly that he sounded like a bitch!
