Dominic: I had to, baby. Not long now and I’ll be back deep inside of u. Be ready, Chantal!

Her whole body shivered at his words and her thong was wet, just over a simple, small text from him. It was like he stood right beside her whispering those exact words against her ear.

She suddenly remembered the picture she took weeks ago for him. Flicking through her phone, she found it and sent it to him.

He replied straight away. She really hoped he had his phone on vibrate through the meeting he was having.

Dominic: Ur ass is getting spanked hard for that, Chantal. U have no idea how hard I am after seeing that!

Chantal: I have a fair idea, Sir!

Suddenly, voices coming from the other room startled her. Placing her phone back in her purse, she walked out and met them there.

“Holy shit, Chantal. You’re gorgeous. Damn,” Joel said as he glanced over her body. Nate stood there with his arms crossed over his chest, glaring at Joel.

Shaking her head slightly at him, she knew what he was thinking. Breaking the tension in the room, she introduced them. “Nate, this is Joel. We went to school together. Joel, this is Nate, he’s with Skylar.”

They shook hands. “Well you’re one lucky son of a bitch. Skylar’s a babe.”
Shit!
He so needed to keep his mouth shut. He had tried to get with Skylar years ago, but she did not want anything to do with him. He wasn’t her type, she had told her.

Nate growled at him, so she stepped between them. “Um, we should probably wait outside for Gavin and Jason to arrive, it’s nearly time to go.”

Joel nodded as he headed for the front door. When she went to pass Nate, he reached for her arm, stopping her. “Be careful tonight, ok. If anything happens, call me, don’t care what time, and just keep your eyes open tonight. Still don’t like you going there.”

Standing on her toes, she hugged him, tight. “I promise, I’ll be careful and keep my eyes open. You know I need to go tonight.”

“See you when you get back. Try to enjoy yourself at least.”

“I will, Nate,” she replied as she walked out the front door.

Joel was waiting down at the side of the road, near a black limo. As she approached, both front doors opened and out came Gavin and Jason.

Gavin held the door open for her. “Hey guys, thanks for doing this tonight.”

“No problem at all, Miss Winters. It gets us out of the house,” Jason replied.

She giggled. “You both need to take a vacation soon. Father has you working way too hard.”

“Nah, you know we love it.”

They all slid into the backseat. Joel sat on one side of her and Gavin on the opposite. Jason drove, and she was glad to have them both as they headed towards the event. She really hoped it wasn’t going to be a long night; she was tired. She hadn’t gotten much sleep the previous night, and after the day that she had, all she wanted to do was curl up in a bed and escape the world, taking everything away that had happened.

D
om sat in the limo hired for the night with Maria beside him, and Mrs Lawson across from him. When he was getting ready for the night, he could not help but text Chantal. The lie was easy to tell her about the meeting, but he wasn’t in one. He had been standing in his hotel room, towel around his waist, waiting for Maria to get ready next door.

He knew he should have cancelled tonight, but the dilemma hanging over Elite Inc., from this one client was enough for him to not risk it. He still had no idea who the woman was or why she wanted him there tonight. As he glared at her across the limo, he had that sick feeling in his stomach that something was going to go wrong. He knew that feeling, too well.

There was something about her that he didn’t like. “Dominic, how long have you worked at Elite Inc. for?” Mrs Lawson purred from her seat.

“I don’t think that has anything to do with tonight, do you?” He would play her game.

“No, I guess not, but after the event tonight, it’s going to be so much more interesting. Don’t you think, Dominic?”

Ignoring her, he turned to face Maria and leaned down to whisper in her ear, “Listen to everything I say tonight.”

She nodded. She had told him that she thought there was something up with Mrs Lawson, as well. He needed to keep his ears and eyes fully open tonight, be ready for anything. He hated meeting new clients, especially when it wasn’t on his own turf. He liked to know the person before walking into the lion’s den, as that is exactly what he was doing tonight.

The driver pulled to a stop in front of the Sanders’ mansion. He inclined his head once towards Maria, and then got out and held the door open for both of them. As Renee stepped out and stood very close beside him, she traced her fingers along his jacket opening right down to his pants. Before she went any further, he gripped her hand, stopping her travels. “Don’t,” he growled.

“You are all mine tonight, Dominic. Tonight is going to be so much fun,” she whispered as she passed him, sauntering ahead of him and Maria.

And now is one of those times that he needed to jump back in that damn limo and head for Chantal’s house, and tell her everything about him—every single detail. Like why he wasn’t at a meeting, but instead standing at the entrance of the Sanders’ mansion, ready to walk in with Maria and Renee for the charity event.

Chapter 44

––––––––

C
hantal was nervous as the limo pulled to a stop out front of the Sanders’ mansion. She really did not want to be there, but it was better than sitting at Nate’s house thinking over everything. The best part of it was that her parents weren’t in attendance.
Thank God!

Both Gavin and Jason hopped out of the limo and stood to the side as she exited with Joel in tow. Walking to the main door, handing over her invitation for the Winters family, she walked through the large front doors into the foyer.

Joel had his hand placed firmly on her lower back as Gavin spoke to the security in charge. Glancing around the room, she noticed several familiar faces but others that she didn’t know.

Gavin came back and told her that he would be near the front entrance if she needed anything. She bobbed her head in compliance, and they moved into the main ballroom, found their table and ordered their drinks. Thirty minutes later, she decided to get up and mingle, keeping up appearances for the Winters’ name.

She needed to talk to a couple of people because, knowing her mother, if she didn’t she would never hear the end of it. That was for sure.

Making her way around the room, she noticed her friend Fiona by the bar with several men surrounding her, as usual. Smiling to herself, she told Joel, “I’m heading up to the bar.”.

As she was walking over towards the bar, laughter boomed across the room, sounding all too familiar. She turned that direction, glancing to where she heard the voice come from but couldn’t quite make out who it was. One of the women standing there was facing her, and stood next to a guy whose back was turned towards her. She couldn’t make out who she was, but had a feeling she knew the woman. She just couldn’t quite figure out where from.

Fiona noticed her and started in her direction. Chantal laughed as one of the men tried to follow Fiona, like a lost puppy, but was quickly and gently let down, by the look of it. She felt sorry for all the guys that she had chasing her, they were never in for a real chance with Fiona. She knew what she wanted, but it was never there when she wanted, or they were taken.

“Finally, thank God you’re here, Jeff is driving me crazy,” she complained.

“He doesn’t look that bad.”

“No, he is definitely not, but he is so freakin’ clingy. Major turn off for me. Anyways, I thought you said you weren’t coming tonight?” Fiona asked as they walked out onto the balcony.

“No, I wasn’t but you know what my mum is like.”

“Yes, all too well. So, why are you here standing in for them?”

“Dad came down with the flu, so I agreed to be here for them, be on my best behaviour, and represent the Winters family.”

“Well, I’m glad you are here, instead of your mother. I love her, but damn, I swear she is Satan’s daughter.”

Chantal burst with laughter. “I’m not going to bother commenting on that.”

“Smart move. So, how is everything going with you?”

“Really good. The shop is going along very well, shocked about how much it has come along, but I’m loving every single moment of it. Next week I take over Stacy’s part of her shop, which is going to be exciting.”

“When that is up let me know so I can come and check out what you have got.”

Before she could answer, another loud boom of laughter came across the room. She definitely knew that voice. Glancing towards where several people now were laughing with that person, she frowned as she stared at the man there, with a woman on each arm. One woman in particular caught her attention. She took a step towards them to get a better look. She still couldn’t quite get a good look at the man’s face.

The woman glanced her way, and gaped in surprise before she turned to the gentleman beside her and said something to him. He never turned her way. He just excused himself from the crowd of people and moved across the room, away from her.

Well, what the hell was that?
She knew who it was standing there, but the name didn’t come to her. It would hopefully by the end of the night, and then she could have a chat with her.

“Chan, I need to go over and talk to someone real quick, I’ll be right back, ok?”

“No worries, I’ll be over near the bar.”

Walking over to the bar, she sat down at the end of the counter and waited until a bartender came over and took her order. As she was sitting there glancing around the room, she felt a presence beside her.

“Chan, how nice to see you here tonight.”

That voice was the last one she wanted to hear tonight, or any other night.
Why was he here now?
Spinning around in her chair, she faced him. “What are you doing here, Derek?” she hissed.

“Don’t be like that, Chan. Haven’t you missed me?”

“Like hell, I have!” she spat, as she removed herself from her seat. As she moved around him, his hand shot out gripping her elbow, pulling her against him. Her stomach twisted in disgust as his thumb rubbed over her flesh. She swallowed the vomit rising in her throat. She should have taken Nate’s advice and stayed back at his place, but
no
. Even though she was pissed that she had to come to this event, she still wanted to make her parents happy.

She tried stepping out of his way, but he moved every time, stopping her from leaving. She really was starting to get pissed off at this game of his. She did not want anything to do with him, now or ever.

“Now, Chan, no reason to be like that. We had a good thing between us, and we can again,” he said as he crowded her space. Backing away, she felt her back hit against the wall in the corner of the room.

His hand came up and lightly gripped her chin, pulling her face back towards his. “I’ve heard some interesting things about you, Chan. Care to explain them to me?” he said as his traced his fingers down the front of her dress, skimming over the top of her breasts. She sucked in a breath as his fingers pushed lightly between her cleavage. It wasn’t for the pleasure of it, more to the sick feeling of having his hands on her body again.

“I have nothing to explain to you, Derek. You are the one that screwed up our relationship, not me.” Pulling herself away from him again, she stepped to the side. Looking around for either Jason or Gavin to grab their attention, her face fell when she realized neither was in site. She could not scream to get anyone’s attention, as that would get back to her mother. Damn it, if she could only reach into her purse she would be able to text someone to come to her rescue.

She didn’t want to be alone with him here, in the corner, or any other place.

“I think you do, Chan. Why didn’t you come to me with the things that you wanted to try, instead of going to Dominic Grayson?”

That got her attention. She gasped, and stuttered out, “What?”

“It is quite interesting to find out that your ex-fiancée likes to get down and nasty in the bedroom, and especially with the one and only Dominic.”

“Why would I of come to you about anything like that, Derek? You couldn’t even keep your dick in your pants. She wasn’t the only one that you had slept with; I found out about several more after we split up. Just thinking of being in a room with you alone makes me sick to my stomach.”

“Chan, Chan, Chan. So much fun can happen between us, you and I both know that.”

“It will never happen, Derek. It’s over and I would never even consider thinking of getting back into bed with you, you sick fuck,” she growled.

Derek pushed her hard up against the wall, taking the breath out of her as he roughly ran his hands down her body. She felt his touch on her exposed thigh, where the slit ended, before he pushed his hand under the dress there. She heard the material tear, as his hand forcefully reached higher up her leg, until she felt his wandering fingers skim over her panties.

“Are you sure? I bet you’re wet just thinking about me being inside of this body again, Chan.”

“I would never get wet thinking about you, Derek. I’ve been thinking of Dominic’s huge, hard cock, fucking me. Not you,” she gritted out.

His hand shot out and around her throat, his grip tightening, cutting off her air. She reached up and gripped his hand with her own. “I would be very careful on what you say, Chantal. You will always be mine, always!” he growled.

She knew she would have marks around her throat after this, and that was going to be so hard to explain to Dom and everyone else. Dom exploded at the smallest things, and this was going to definitely be one of them.

“I don’t belong to you, never have, never will. Plus, if you are really into the lifestyle that you so think, you know you are not allowed to touch someone without the Dom’s permission.”

“So, you know what he is then? Interesting. He actually had the balls to come clean with you. What about the other thing?”

She frowned. “What are you talking about, now?”
