DEDICATION

This book is dedicated to friends:

To childhood friends, wondering what became of you.

To childhood friends that stuck around to be adult friends.

To new friends, especially Sandy, one of the most considerate people I’ve ever known.

To my sister, who I’m grateful is also my friend.

Each of you is a blessing who has improved my life and stabilized my existence. It has been so much fun corrupting each other!

Thank you for everything.

To animal friends, both past and present, who, in their unfailing love, perfect honesty, and innocence, are constant reminders of what should really matter in our lives.

You keep me going—because being a human can be hard.

Oh, and this is also dedicated to my high school Spanish class, because I promised.

ABOUT the AUTHOR

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Writing. I live in Northern Minnesota with my sister and my rat-terrier Chihuahua, Snoopy. I do freelance custom artwork and my own when I can.

In my free time—if I
had
free time I’d have finished a lot more stories. I would read, paint, sculpt, draw, and devour the hours with videogames and music.

Okay, I always make time for videogames…which takes precedence on eating, sleeping, and—let’s just say, all other functions of a living creature.

I love horror and fantasy—the top two realms my mind retreats to when I need to be a responsible adult.

I am an escapist. And I’ve always been a daydreamer. This is the best way I know of to find a story to tell. I hope I’ll get to share everything I’ve seen when willing myself, my soul, my consciousness—whichever—into a world or a life more interesting than my own.

Thanks for reading about me.

Look for my second book:
White Child in the Wood
Fall or Winter of 2014.
