“Oh, sweetie,” she moaned in that soft Southern drawl once she’d floated back down to earth. “That was fucking
hot
!”

I looked up at her, and she smiled back at me, her hair all tangled and messy, her cheeks flushed, her hands cupping her own breasts, her nipples poking like bullets from between her slender fingers, her milk-white body still trembling, covered in a glistening, dewy sheen.

“Come here,” she purred. “Now it’s
my
turn.”

So I rose onto my hands and knees, crawling towards her, feeling her eager hands tugging me hungrily upwards, pulling at my dress. I helped her out, yanking it up over my head as quickly as I could, throwing it onto the floor then undoing my bra with shaky fingers, my whole body shivering in anticipation. I’d only just about wriggled free from my panties before Gina’s hot slender hands were on me once more, pulling me towards her, her fingers exploring my breasts then slipping down between my legs.

Then she began urging me up
further
still, pulling my waist eagerly in the direction of her head, which was now propped up on the pillows.

After a moment’s confusion, I realized just what she wanted me to do. It felt so strange to comply, placing my trembling knees gingerly either side of her head and letting this sexy older woman begin to pleasure me with her mouth, her tongue quickly burying itself  so
deep
inside me, her hands cupping my buttocks, spreading them wide apart, as she helped me grind out my pleasure rhythmically against her willing mouth.

I put both hands out on the wall above my head to steady myself as I rode Gina’s face, thrusting my hips forward and back, hearing her muffled moans as she licked and sucked at me, one of her fingers straying to my asshole too, pushing a little ways inside me, sending a fresh shiver of pleasure flashing round my body.

I could feel my orgasm building, and maybe Gina could sense it too, because she increased her motions, moving a thumb to my clit too, stimulating it softly as she continued to fuck me with her mouth. This sent me over the edge and I gasped as I came, my body bucking, my mind flashing white, splintering into a million little electric shards ...

“So, how do you like your eggs, sleepyhead?” Gina asked cheerily the next morning.

I looked at her groggily, only realizing after another few seconds that I was still in
her bed
, the silky purple sheets tangled around my naked frame.

The morning light was flooding in from the large window on the far wall, and I winced, feeling both the after-effects of those incredibly strong cocktails and also a pang of deep embarrassment. I mean, after what happened between us last night, how in the hell were we supposed to act normal with each other now?!

“Um, either scrambled or … not at all?” I mumbled, unsure whether I could handle anything other than a strong black coffee right about now.

“What about a coffee?” she asked, as if she could read my mind.

“Sure, thanks, that’d be great,” I replied, wondering how she could be so damned chirpy this early in the morning.

Perhaps she was just way more used to booze than me. After all, from the way those guys treated her in the club last night, she was obviously something of a regular down at Provocateur.

She turned and headed off happily in the direction of the kitchen, her bare ass flashing briefly from beneath the t-shirt she’d thrown on.

I was still completely naked, and once I was sure she wasn’t about to stick her head back around the door, I slipped out from under the sheets and quickly pulled on my panties, before gathering the rest of my clothes and holding them to my chest as I made the short, nervous dash from her room to mine.

As I slipped on my robe, I wondered why I was being so shy now. After all, she’d seen it all before, hadn’t she — both at Blake’s party and also last night. Maybe it was something about the cold light of day.

I felt another pang of embarrassment as I remembered just how
far
we’d gone. But hell, if Gina didn’t seem to mind or feel embarrassed about our, um ... thing, then maybe I shouldn’t either?

After all, I was a grown woman now. Which meant I could do what I liked.

I stepped back out of my room and headed down the hall, hearing the sizzle of bacon as I approached the kitchen. I could hear Gina softly singing to herself, too, some kind of old-fashioned show tune, and I was surprised at just how good her voice was: soft and warm, and perfectly on-pitch.

“Your coffee’s on the side,” she said, her back to me as she shook the skillet on the stove, her beautifully natural red hair shining like treacle in the bright morning sunlight.

“Thanks,” I said, lifting my mug and taking a long comforting sip, surprised at how little awkwardness there was between us. This was another thing I was learning about grown-up life, I guess: that it was actually okay to have desires and curiosities and to explore them. Because everyone did it. Everyone had their own little kinks and turn-ons, and there was nothing actually
wrong
with exploring them ...

“So, how are things going between you two?” Gina asked all of a sudden.

You two?

I looked over at her, confused, unsure if she was talking about me and
Blake
, or maybe me and my mom, or about something else completely.

“I’m sorry?” I replied.

“Between you and the famous Mr Matthews,” she clarified, turning off the hob, shaking her bacon onto a plate, then turning towards me with a sympathetic smile.

“Honestly? I don’t know,” I sighed, looking towards the window that faced into the street for a moment, unable to quite meet her eye, feeling that same familiar frustration that rose up in me, whenever I thought about Blake.

“He can be a royal pain in the ass, can’t he?” she said, warmly.

I couldn’t help but laugh.

“Yeah, he can,” I agreed, glad that I finally had someone I could talk to about absolutely
everything
.

“You want my advice?”

“Sure,” I said.

“Just enjoy the ride, but remember, baby. Blake isn’t the settling down type. You’ll never tame him. And believe me, I know.”

As she spoke her face grew serious, and without its usual covering of makeup, I could make out the little lines at the corners of her eyes and around her mouth that took hold of all women after a certain age. I wondered exactly how old she was. Late thirties? Early forties, even?

“You’re so young, baby,” she continued. “You’ve got your whole life ahead of you. Don’t be in such a rush to find yourself a husband and close yourself off to other possibilities. I saw your portfolio on the coffee table. You’re
talented
. Focus on that, and on having fun, and the right guy will fit right in, without you having to chase him.”

She took a sip of coffee, and then shook her head.

“Me?” she said. “It’s not for everyone, but I love the chase. And besides ... my talents are right
here
. This is all I’ve got to work with.”

At this, she gestured to her amazing chest, shown off even by that loose-fitting burgundy t-shirt.

“I don’t believe that for a second,” I replied. “I heard you singing just now. You have an amazing voice ...”

“Been there, done that,” she said, smiling sadly at the thought. “I used to be a showgirl, you know that? My voice – and my legs of course – got me here from Kansas.” And with that, she kicked out her slender white legs, in true showgirl style.

“That’s what they all used to say: the men. That I had an amazing ...
voice
. But of course that wasn’t what they were really attracted to. Twenty years old, I got myself a nice husband. Nice and
rich
. Just what I’d always dreamed of back home. Anyway, he started out nice. Then came the jealousy. First, he wanted me to quit dancing, so I did. But then it got so bad that after a while, I couldn’t so much as go out for coffee with a girlfriend, without getting the third degree. In the end? I wasn’t even surprised when he hit me. But I
never
let him do it again. I walked straight out that day, and never came back.”

She laughed again.

“So much for my small town dreams. My heart was broken, but I did get a nice little settlement out of him, keeps me in clothes to this day. He was the one who hit me, but my name was mud all over town. He told everyone I was no better than a hooker, and everywhere I went, I could hear people whispering:
gold digger.
But still, there have been a few people who’ve always stuck by me. And one of those is Blake Matthews. I couldn’t face returning to the stage, and my divorce settlement wasn’t enough to cover rent, not in the kind of places I’d gotten used to living in. So Blake helped me out. I think he’s the only one smart enough to realize what an asshole my ex- was, and didn’t think I had to suffer.”

Poor Gina.

Taking abuse from online trolls was one thing, but being trash talked by the very people who were supposed to be your friends? That must have been
so
hard for her.

“I’m sorry,” I said.

“Don’t be,” she replied. “Trading on my looks is a dangerous game, but its the one I’ve chosen to play. I’ve got enough money that I can move anywhere else in the country, open a boutique, have a real nice life. But I guess I must be addicted to this city, to this world. And even with everything, all the gossip and the game-playing and the back-stabbing ... It’s still worth it.”

Jessica,

My PA Juliet alerted me to the NYGoss.com article. I’m assuming you’ve seen it by now, too. I know how the internet works.

I want to say how very sorry I am for dragging you into this murky world. Unfortunately, gossip like this goes hand-in-hand with a position like mine. I find it difficult to escape and I’ve learnt to come to terms with it over the years. As much as I don’t like it, it’s mostly harmless and mostly fabricated.

But I can do more to protect you from this. I’ve upped my security and I will do my best to keep your name and your image out of the press from now on.

Blake

CHAPTER EIGHT

“Can I take this thing
off
yet?” I asked with a mixture of excitement and exasperation, desperate to yank off my blindfold and see just where in the world Blake was taking me.

“Almost there,” he replied, and while I couldn’t see his face, I could tell by the sound of his voice that he was smiling, obviously enjoying my increasing impatience.

All I knew for sure was that we were standing in some sort of elevator, zooming upwards.

Blake had returned from Miami just a few hours ago, and after only a couple of minutes together and a single brief kiss, he’d insisted I put on this stupid blindfold – telling me that what he had in store for me was totally worth it, and then bundling me into his private car, which had been waiting outside the apartment, engine running.

As the elevator rushed us upwards, I could take it no more, reaching upwards to yank off the blindfold. But before I could do so, I felt Blake’s hands grab my wrists, tenderly but firmly moving them back down by my sides. And while he held me in place, I felt his hot lips briefly touch against my own. I tried to kiss him back, but he pulled away, leaving me gasping, more frustrated than ever.

“Patience, my dear,” he whispered.

Just then, we seemed to reach our destination, and I felt his firm hands on my shoulders, and I heard the elevator doors swoosh open, and then I felt cold air on my face.

“Forwards,” Blake directed gently, guiding me outside, the wind now whipping around me, blowing my hair about my face.

“Where
are
we?” I asked, growing even more impatient, pulling my coat tight around me for warmth.

He held me still for a moment, making me wait. The seconds ticked on, and I realized with a shiver of electricity that he was obviously
looking
at me: slowly taking me in with his cold grey eyes, savoring me.

“Okay, you can take it off,” he said eventually.

With relief, I finally pulled off the blindfold, and at first my eyes just focused on Blake – his smiling face, his intense grey eyes, his chiseled jaw, his tanned, stubble-flecked skin, just as handsome as ever.

It took me another second before I realized just how
high up
I was. We seemed to be right up in the
sky
, towering above Manhattan, and I felt a shiver of fear flash through me, but I knew that I was safe with Blake.

“The 212?” I gasped, as I finally worked out where I was.

“Well done,” he replied. “Very perceptive.”

It had been a lucky guess: the blindfold had done its job and I’d completely lost my bearings, but I’d known Blake had been having work done on this rooftop terrace for months now – he’d shown me the plans, but I’d never actually
seen
it -- and finally it was complete.

It was amazing.

My eye was drawn first to the breathtaking view – the whole panorama of Manhattan spilling out below us in a glittering tapestry of twinkling lights and sparkling skyscrapers – and then to ...

Oh my God!

A
hot tub
, bubbling away, right at the roof’s edge, tastefully lit by a series of small blue spotlights, set into the concrete around the tub. And on a little side table were a stack of plump white towels and two fluffy robes.

He’s thought of everything, as usual.

“So what do you think?” Blake asked, his mouth curling in a playful grin. “I thought we should be the first ones to try out the tub.”

“You know I’ve not brought my bikini!” I said playfully, waiting for him to magically reveal a La Perla gift box.

“Well,” he replied with a mischievous grin. “I didn’t think we’d need to wear anything.”

I looked at him and smiled, shaking my head. Of course, that was just the kind of thing he’d be into, and was just about to tell him so when Jean-Luc, head waiter at The 212’s regular restaurant appeared carrying two menus.

“Good evening,
madam et monsieur
,” he said in his thick French accent. “If you would like to follow me?”

I shot Blake a puzzled look, but he just grinned widely and nodded, then followed Jean-Luc over to the
other
side of the terrace where, I realized, a single candle-lit table had been set out, with two chairs, beneath the soft orange glow of a series of heat lamps, attached to an unobtrusive canopy.

This was the thing about Blake. As frustrating as I often found him, he obviously loved to surprise me, and not just with memory sticks and invitations to parties. He could be truly romantic too, and it was the little gestures like this that made me suspect that perhaps he really
did
care about me deeply.

Once we were seated, Jean-Luc presented us with the menus, and then said, softly, “Would
madam et monsieur
like a moment alone to decide, or are you ready to order now?”

And at this, Blake locked eyes with me from over the top of his heavy, leather-bound menu and said, rather suggestively, “I don’t know about you, Miss Clark, but I think I’d just like to skip straight to the
main course
. What do you say?”

“Sure, why not,” I smiled back, my head still spinning a little from the strangeness of this whole situation.

After all, I don’t think I’d ever have pictured myself up on the roof terrace of an exclusive Manhattan hotel, dining alone with a billionaire in a million years. In fact, if I was honest, the whole scene struck me as a little … ludicrous.

And, just like that, I couldn’t help but let out a giggle. I attempted to stifle it as much as I could, but it was too late. And once I’d started laughing, I found I couldn’t stop.

Blake raised an eyebrow in curiosity, silently asking me just
what
was so funny, and I shook my head, trying to compose myself. But I couldn’t help my laughter.

I fixed my eyes on Jean-Luc and willed myself to be as serious as a person could possibly be. “I’ll have the salmon,” I said, grave as a funeral, and Blake nodded and said, “Same for me, too.”

“Very good, very good,” Jean-Luc cooed, a professional to his core, pretending to be totally unaware of my little hysterical turn, taking our menus, bowing gracefully, and then heading off across the darkness of the terrace, leaving us once more alone.

“Did something amuse you?” Blake asked, quizzically. A man always in control, he clearly wasn’t used to not being let in on a joke.

I shook my head, realizing how difficult it might be to explain. And anyway, it’s not like I had to tell him absolutely
everything
. I was allowed my secrets too, wasn’t I?

“Oh, it’s nothing,” I said, taking a strange small thrill from keeping this little detail to myself. “I just thought about something funny that happened earlier today. I guess I must be a little light-headed from being so high up.”

“So,” he continued, obviously a little phased but deciding to ignore my evasiveness, “how are you finding
Gina
?”

Very good, Blake.

A perfect way to turn the tables.

Do you know something perhaps?

Did she already tell you about our night together?

“You know what? Really good, actually,” I smiled back, remembering how we’d bonded, and how wrong I’d been about her in the first place. “We’re getting along pretty well. I mean, I don’t think I’ll be borrowing her
clothes
any time soon, but I’m definitely enjoying hanging out with her.”

“Hmm. Quite. She can be rather wild, though. Are you
sure
she’s not a little too much for you?”

“No,” I said, putting on my best sweet and innocent voice. If Blake wasn’t going to say quite what he meant, then neither was I. “It’s actually been pretty fun so far! Even more that I’d expected ...”

I’m just going to let you imagine what kind of ‘fun’ two girls can get up to alone together.

At this Blake nodded to himself, trying to figure out his next move in this game of conversational chess. I could tell he was frustrated by my evasiveness. He knew there was so much more to find out, but he didn’t know quite how to do it.

Part of me wanted to lead him there myself, hint at just what Gina and I had got up to that night. I knew just how much it would turn him on if I fed him a few juicy details. But not yet. I was going to make him work for it first. And I realized I was enjoying playing with him, taking control for once.

“How about you?” I replied. “How was Miami?”

“Good,” he said, once more locking eyes with me. “I had fun, too.”

Another long pause, as I imagined him lounging on the beach, surrounded by sun-kissed blondes in bikinis.

Stalemate.

The tension between us was electric now. Because we
both
wanted to know a lot more about what the other had got up to, but couldn’t ask.

Again I smiled sweetly and nodded.

Two can play at that game, Blake …

As always, the food was delicious — when it first arrived it looked so small and delicate on the plate that I felt worried that I might have to secretly call for take out afterwards, but the dish was just so well-balanced and richly flavored that amazingly I felt fully satisfied afterwards.

And when Jean-Luc asked if we might like to take a look at the desert menus, we both shook our heads, our minds obviously on another kind of sweetness ...

“Shall we?” Blake asked once we were on our own once more, nodding in the direction of the hot tub.

“Lead the way,” I said.

He got up from his seat and I followed him over the dark expanse of roof terrace towards the tub, still bubbling and steaming away, right at the roof’s edge. I noticed that there was now an ice bucket next to the tub now too, containing a bottle of Dom Perignon, with two elegant glass flutes next to it. Which meant that someone, most likely Jean-Luc, had been primed to put it there just before we arrived.

Blake again, taking control of the situation.

I paused for a moment, watching him.

It still took my breath away to see him undress. I found I couldn’t tear my eyes away from him as he pulled off his jacket, then unbuttoned his shirt, revealing his tanned, muscled frame beneath, just that small patch of hair on his chest between his well-defined pecs and washboard abs.

I realized with a jolt that
I
was supposed to be undressing too, pulling my hungry eyes away from his body long enough to slip out of my coat, then pull the straps of my dress down over my shoulders, feeling the cold wind whip harshly against my bare skin.

Blake meanwhile had stripped right down to his tight white briefs, the impressive bulge in them so inviting. He leant forwards, slipping them down around his muscular thighs, and when I caught a glimpse of his cock, I registered with a shiver of anticipation that he was already fully hard.

I wriggled out of my dress, eagerly unhooking my bra and then let my panties slip to the floor, finally naked as I watched the rippling muscles of Blake’s back and his perfectly toned buttocks as he climbed into the tub, catching another tantalizing glimpse of his hard cock and swollen balls, there between his legs, moments before he slipped beneath the water.

“Not so fast, Mister,” I heard myself say.

You see, I’d caught a glimpse of the discarded blindfold from our ride up here, now lying on the floor near the tub – a silky wisp of black that had given me a kinky new idea.

I bent down to pick it up, trembling with anticipation.

Blake paused, waiting to see what I did next, and when he clocked the blindfold in my hand, he pulled himself back out of the water obediently, sitting on the edge of the tub, only his legs left in the tub now, the rest of him fully on display.

As I tiptoed towards him, I felt his hungry grey eyes on my bare breasts, my nipples standing to attention from the cool night air, not to mention the spreading warmth and wetness between my legs.

I swung the blindfold suggestively as I approached.

“Now it’s
my
turn,” I purred, walking around behind him, running my fingertips across his broad sun-kissed back for a moment, before wrapping the blindfold across his eyes and tying it firmly in place behind his head.

I watched his thick pink lips curl into a smile. But it wasn’t just his face that told me he was enjoying this as much as me. A quick glance between his legs gave me all the information I needed. Fuck. He was
so
hard, his cock jutting eagerly upwards, pulsing and twitching in anticipation of whatever came next. Part of me wanted to just reach down between his legs and wrap my fingers hungrily around it, but I held back, knowing that this would be even more fun if I teased him for a little while first.

With Blake sitting there, blindfolded, on the side of the tub, just his feet and calves in the water, I took a long slow circle around the edge of the steaming, bubbling bath, keeping my eyes fixed on him, enjoying the feel of the cool wind on my skin now, safe in the knowledge that I could slip beneath the warmth of the water whenever I chose.
