He smiled, pulling me close again. "We'll guard each other."
"I like the sound of that." I snaked my body against his, leaning in for another kiss.
He shot me a questioning glance. "Careful, human skin is much more sensitive." He looked me up and down with more love in his eyes than I had ever seen, and more lust than any siren had ever shown.
I nibbled his ear and breathed heavily. "We've earned the right to lose control." He changed into human form, kissing my neck between his words. "We're going to be really late."
"They're good at waiting," I said breathlessly. "They had eighteen years of practice."
We bobbed in the water, two bodies and souls tangled up as one.
