Savannah looked at Emma. Her niece was on the edge of her seat, her blue eyes wide with anticipation. The rest of the class was spellbound as they waited expectantly for Savannah's answer.

She looked back at Jake. He was waiting.

“Yes,” she breathed.

The girls clapped and cheered. Jake smiled and lowered his mouth to hers. A collective sigh echoed in the room.

“Tell me you love me,” he said, lifting his head.

She smiled slowly and touched his cheek. “I love you, Jake Stone. More than I can ever tell you.”

“Then I guess you'll have to show me.” He kissed her again, drawing her close to him as he whispered in her ear, “And then, if you were having an anatomy lesson, I could demonstrate what happens when a man kisses the woman he loves and—”

“Class dismissed,” Savannah said again, and this time they obeyed.

Emma ran to Jake and Savannah and threw her arms around them. “You're the best big brother in the whole world,” she said proudly.

Savannah agreed. She also thought he was going to be the best husband and father in the world.

And as soon as they got back to Stone Creek, she intended to create a legacy of their own.
