“What are we waiting for?” he asked.

“A ride.  Just be patient,” she said.

The sound of a motor was heard off in the distance.  It grew louder and louder as they waited on the misty shore.  Valemon saw the nose of a fishing boat cut through the thick mist that covered the beach. 

“HEYO!”  the captain called out.  “Heard you guys needed a ride back home?”  The man was none other than the same captain that had ferried Rachel to the isolated island where she started this crazy adventure.

“Father!” Freyja called out.  “Thank you for coming!”

Fenrir smiled. “That’s Njord.  Freyja's dad and lord of the sea.”

Rachel stood there, amazed, as she stared at the blonde haired captain.  “That’s the guy who took me to that island!” she exclaimed.  “The one where we met, but didn’t really meet because you were a bear at the time and I was like...”

Valemon nodded. “Yeah, I remember.”

“Hey girl!” Njord greeted.  “Long time no see!  Sorry I can’t get any closer,” he hollered.  “The water isn’t too deep, though.”

Freyja stayed on the shore with Fenrir. “You two go home.  We’re fine here,” she said with tears in her bright blue eyes. “You know how to get in touch with me if you need me.”

Fenrir nodded.  “This is my home, well, my second home anyway.  You three go on and have a good life.  You have my word that no more of my children will ever bother you again.”

With that, Valemon scooped Rachel and the baby up in his powerful arms and began to wade out to the boat. 

“Hey!” Freyja called out. “You never told me what you plan on naming him!”

Valemon smiled and looked down at his sleeping son.  “Yngvi”

Freyja’s eyes overflowed.  “That’s perfect!”

“I hope you agree,” he asked Rachel. 

“I think it’s a beautiful name for him,” she replied as she nestled her head against Valemon’s muscular chest.  “Let’s go home before your lower half freezes off.”

Valemon laughed a hearty laugh as he waded towards the waiting fishing boat.  He lifted Rachel’s slight form over his head to the waiting sea god and climbed up the ladder.  He stood on the deck and waved to Freyja and Fenrir as Njord gunned the engine and steamed off towards the horizon.
