Chapter Two

Samir sat back in his Chevy, parked in the driveway of his father’s house with one goal in mind, and that was to become the man. He hit his entire crew and arranged for them to meet up because he had a bomb to drop on them. Meko, Seven, Cesar and Chase were his niggas for as long as he could remember. Samir and Cesar grew up together from the tender age of three.

Cesar knew all Samir’s secrets and despite his
family’s shady reputation, Samir loved him like a brother. He trusted Cesar with his life, so jumping in the game couldn’t work if Cesar wasn’t down. In Samir’s mind the two of them had an unspoken bond that nothing could break or come between.

They did everything together. They moved as a unit
and Samir would never leave him out of any decision he made.

Meko
and Seven got added to the crew after a lunch-room brawl in junior high school. Samir was the fly guy in school and niggas were envious. They knew they could never get to him as long as Cesar was around, so they tried to cease the opportunity to jump Samir on the one day Cesar wasn’t there.

Meko
saw the crowd coming and recruited Seven to come to Samir’s aid. Samir was no bitch nigga by far, but Meko hated when lame niggas grouped together to jump one dude. After the fight, Meko and Seven introduced themselves and their alliance and friendship with Samir was set in stone.

Chase leveled
the crew out when he was introduced to Samir and the rest of the crew. It came off the strength of Meko. Looking back on their childhood, Samir was the only lucky one in the crew. His boy’s endured everything imaginable as products of their environments; foster homes, drug-addicted parents, to raising themselves at a young age. Watching the hardships his young friends had to endure; Samir’s only goal was to help make his boys rich. This was more than a chance to join the family business; this was an opportunity to change his boy’s lives for the better.

________

Lost in his thoughts, Samir was startled when his pager went off. He looked down at the message that came across the screen and laughed at Tae’s disdain for him standing her up. So much was going on in his world he had forgotten about the little rendezvous he set up with her that afternoon. His mind was so clouded he need a release so he felt obliged to respond.

Yo
, my bad boo, shit was crazy today, where you at.
He messaged back

Whatever Samir, you play too many games for me.
Tae responded two minutes later.

What are you talking about; shit got busy
, and besides are you my girl.

No I am not your girl, but what does that have to do with anything?

Everything Tae, you ain’t my girl? So all this attitude and questioning me needs to stop, so where the fuck are you?

I’m at home Samir.

Your momma home?

Nope, she at her boyfriend house for the night. It’s just me and my sister.

Aight. You gone let me come through and hit that or what?

Is that all you want from me?

Here you go. Tae you gone let me come through yes or fucking no? If not, I got better shit to be doing right now.

Whatever. How long is it going to take you?

I’m at my pops. I’ll be there in like 15 minutes.
He messaged, ending their text conversation.

________

When Samir arrived
at Tae’s house she motioned for him to come through the back door so she wouldn’t wake her sister. Once he walked into her room, she greeted him by dropping to her knees and taking his entire dick in her mouth. Tae had a hood rat reputation and she was only 15 years old. It wasn’t that she was brought up in a bad environment; it was that her mom worked two jobs to make ends meet, so she didn’t have much time for Tae and her sister.

Tae blossomed at an early age and by 13 the local hood nigga
s started to notice her. She had a beautiful mocha brown complexion with long, thick, black hair that she kept short. And she had eyes, hips, ass and tits to rival any woman 10 years older than her. She learned early how to entice men with her exotic, Egyptian queen look. With no real attention at home and no father figure, Tae fell for every local corner hustler who told her she was beautiful. By the time she met Samir she was already advanced in the sex department. All she really wanted was a sense of belonging and since she couldn’t have that, she gave up her most valuable asset, her innocence.

Samir however couldn’t stop to think about why Tae was the way she was because he was to in throbbed with the way she sucked hi
m off. She was a deep throat monster and Samir could damn near feel her tonsils on the tip of his dick. Not wanting to explode he jerked himself away from her, flipped her on her stomach and entered her gushing pussy from behind. He began to pound her unmercifully as she screamed from both pain and ecstasy. The more he thought about his brothers and their situation, the harder he fucked her. He began to take all the stress of what was going on in his mind out on her pussy.

Tae was a pro, so although Samir began to hurt her
, she took the pounding like a champ. On some levels Tae loved every bit of the roughness of their bodies together. The harder he went, the wetter she got.

Oh my God, Samir, baby, fuck me! Fuck me baby!” she begged, as he pushed his manhood deeper into her, “Ooooohhh, Samir that’s so damn good baby.”

“You like this dick don’t you
? You’re your fucking back and take this dick,” Samir commanded, as he continued to pound every stress of his world out on her waiting pussy.

Tae was in complete bliss. She lived up to the reputation she gained in the hood. She was known for giving it up easy and for her ability
to endure rough sex. She threw her ass back at Samir with every thrust. The harder he fucked her the harder she came. The pulsating sensation of her vagina on his dick was too much for him to handle. Feeling his nut mounting, he grabbed Tae’s hair, wrapping it around his hand, and began to thrust her hard, deep, and fast. Tae lost all control and was brought to tears by the way Samir was ravaging her pussy. The screams of ecstasy was all Samir needed to reach his breaking point. His nut burst into the tip of his condom like soldiers bursting into battle. He collapse on Tae for a brief moment and pulled himself out of her to wash off the scent and sweat from his body.

Tae knew exactly what was about to happen next
. She was accustomed to the D-boys coming through, fucking her and breaking out. In her mind she was getting what she wanted from them the same way they were getting what they wanted from her. She didn’t look it at like she was being used and she didn’t care about her reputation being tarnished. She looked at it like; she loves to fuck, so why not fuck when she wanted to.

Samir finished cleaning his dick
, got dressed and was ready to leave, but Tae stopped him. “You just gone leave without saying bye? Damn nigga, didn’t your momma teach you better manners than that?” Tae joked.

“Really Tae
, what you want; a hug and forehead kiss? Perhaps you want a promise to see you again soon. Fuck outta here, you know what this is, darling,” Samir responded, nonchalantly.

“Whatever nigga
; I said say bye. I ain’t say shit about no hug, kiss or a promise.” she snapped.

“Bye Tae.”
Samir left her lying in the bed with a dumbfounded look on her face. For the first time she actually felt like a hoe. She always had a thing for Samir, but she knew that he would never consider being with her, especially being who he was. He could never let the hood see him cuffing a known hoodrat. She normally wouldn’t care about the smash and ghost routine she had with her other partners, but Samir was a different story.

When she first saw Samir in the hallway at school she was instantly attracted to him in a way she was never attracted to anyone. To her
, niggas were only good for dick, but in Samir she saw more. But her reputation exceeded her because when she first spoke to him he already knew who she was and set up a time to meet her for her impeccable skills. So even though she wanted to be more than what she was, she knew it would never happen. She never felt guilt for what she was doing to herself and her body until she met Samir.

Samir
, on the other hand, never looked at Tae for more than anything but pussy and head. He would never be caught dead in public with her. He could never disgrace his family’s reputation, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t fuck her brains out every now and again.

That night Samir headed home with the weight of the world on his shoulders but at
least his stress wasn’t as heavy after his little session with Tae.

On his 30
-minute ride home he came up with a game plan for his start into the drug business. He already assembled a team of hungry young dudes in his boys. In his mind, he already had a solid game plan to hit the streets running. The only thing left was to convince his father that he was the clear-cut choice to take over his brothers set.  Samir was so lost in his thoughts he didn’t even realize that he had made it home.

That night he walked in the house he shared with his mother
, he had clarity on his next move. He knew she would never agree with his decision, but it was his to make. When he walked inside the house he saw his mother asleep on the couch. He noticed a box of Kleenex and his brother’s picture in her arms. His heart hurt for her. He knew it had to be hard to be the mother of hustlers and it wouldn’t get better after she found out that he was joining the family business. He gently kissed her on her forehead after covering her with a blanket. He placed the picture back on the mantle, looked at his mother once more, and for the first time in his life, he shed a tear. He didn’t want to cause his mother any heartache but he couldn’t let his choice go. He knew she would support him, but also silently disagree. This was his moment and he had to cease it no matter what anybody had to say.

Samir headed upstairs. After his shower
, he sat on the edge of his bed and thought about how his life was about to change. When the sun peaked across the sky he would no longer be Carlyle Kendal’s baby boy or Sin and Ace’s baby brother. When morning came, he would begin a legacy of his own. He lay on his bed with a clear mind because in the morning everything was going to change.

The next day
, his phone ringing nonstop woke him up. By the time he grabbed it he already missed the call. He checked his two-way and saw that he had several missed messages and more calls from his crew.

Yo, Ces, what up?” he said, after returning a phone call to Cesar.

“My nigga
, you gone sleep all damn day or you gone come meet us at Meko crib to discuss the plan you got for us?” Cesar responded.

“I’m up
, Joe. I’m about to hit the shower and I’ll met y’all there in about an hour.”

Aight, cool. We’ll be there.”

Samir jumped outta bed and jumped in the shower. Today was the day that was going to change the rest of their young lives. Today was the day that they
were going to learn what the game was all about. He didn’t worry about how his parents would feel or about the risk of hustling. His only concern was making money and not letting his brothers’ arrest go in vain. He was going to make Sin proud. He got dressed in an Iceberg Tee-shirt, a pair of his favorite Guess jeans and a pair of Air Force Ones that were fresh out the box. He threw on his Rolex and the chain he’d been wearing from the time he was a young kid.

On his way out the door
his mother stopped him. It was almost as if she had a six sense about what he was doing. She looked him in his eyes for what felt like ten minutes without speaking a word. She just stared at him and she saw exactly what she feared all along. She saw the ambition of a hustler. The same thing she saw in his father’s eyes and the same ambition she saw in each one of her older son’s eyes just before they joined their father’s operation.

“Samir, sweetheart
… I love you more than life itself, you do know that right?” she said, breaking her silence

“Yea
h ma, I know. I love you too, lady.” he replied.

“I want so much for you in life. I pray for you every day. I pray that God will lead you down a different path
, but for some reason… I know that’s not what you want.”

“What you talking about
, ma?”

“Son, I’m no fool and I see in your eyes what you want
outta life. You desire to be a hustler. No matter how badly I want it to be different, I know that look. I’ve seen that spirit so many times before. It’s the ambition of a hustler.”

“I’m sorry mama. I don’t
wanna hurt you or see you in pain, but this is something I gotta do… It’s all I know.”
