Wow.  I feel like I just ate a frozen yogurt and I have that horrible brain freeze feeling.  My head hurts.

On one hand, I’m just speechless – which is such a rarity, I know.

On the other hand, SAY WHAT?!?  The flood gates have opened so quickly. Can’t…type…too…many… thoughts…spilling out…brain…on….overload…

Hell no!  It’s not like I’ve been with a lot of men (no offense to you), but I’ve been with a few.  And, I’ve been around enough, read enough and talked with girlfriends enough to know that you’ve got to make sure the goods are good.  Don’t you agree?

First off, no offense taken.  And, I’m totally with you.  When making sure someone’s got the whole package, you got to check out the “package” among other things.  Sexual compatibility is VERY important.  So important, in fact, I’ve based several reasonably long relationships on that factor alone.  ;)

Okay, so what do I do now?  Ignore it?  Email back and tell him thanks, but no thanks?  Guidance, oh wise one.

I say ignore it.  For all he knows, you’re getting 15-20 emails a day and just can’t be bothered to respond to all.

You don’t think that’s rude?  You know how I hate to be rude.  And remember what nonsense ensued the last time I ignored an email?

Yes, Miss Manners.  I know how you are.  And yes, I remember the psycho.  But seriously, in this case, I think it’s much nicer to ignore it than tell him he’s a 35-year-old freak of nature.

Subject: A lot in common

Hi there.  Was reading through your profile and you seem really down-to-earth and fun.  I think we have a lot in common.  We’re even the same sign.  Not that I’m one of those cheesy guys who want to know what sign you are.  That is so Larry from “Three’s Company.”

I’m an actor in Los Angeles – host of “Forensic Mystery TV” – who is looking to get beyond the superficiality and quid pro quo of the Hollywood scene.  I’m looking to meet a great gal who is more interested in me as a person than who I know and how it can help her career.  I pride myself on being a sensitive and caring person and expect the same from my girlfriend.  But, my job can be very demanding, so I’m looking for someone who is flexible and understanding.

Anyway, check out my profile and write back.

Davey

Hi Davey.  Thanks so much for your note.  I’ve seen the show and am a big fan.

So, let me ask you a few questions:

- Who is your favorite Brady?

- If Bionic Woman and Wonder Woman got in a fight, who would win?

- What is the last book you read or are currently reading?

- What is the best part of being on television?

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

My favorite Brady – Marcia, Marcia Marcia =)

Bionic Woman vs. Wonder Woman – hands down the Bionic Woman…she cost millions to make and Wonder Woman carries around a cheap gold lamé rope.

Last book – Biography of Henry Ford.  I’m working on a bio pic about his life right now.

Best part of being a TV star – It’s really just being there for the fans.  It’s hard to explain, but just knowing that I’m bringing entertainment and joy into people’s living rooms and lives really means a lot.

You won’t believe who I’ve been emailing…Davey Montrell from “Forensic Mystery TV.”  He is so charming.  Do you think I should go out with him?  I’ve always shied away from the Hollywood scene.

Henry Ford.  How exciting.  I bet playing Henry Ford is a great role.  He seemed like such an interesting, inventive and visionary person.  When and where do you start filming?

Oh, I wouldn’t want to play Ford.  I’m much more interested in Harold Miller, he was one of Ford’s neighbors when he was a boy and inadvertently inspired him to invent.  There’s this really pivotal scene in the beginning of the movie that really sets up the rest of the story about Ford’s life.  A part like that is much more interesting and challenging.  You know, when it’s not all there on the page.  You’ve really got to delve deep into the character and his motivation.  But, it would probably be much better to explain all of this in person.  Are you up for meeting?

Subject: Set up?

Hey there.  Since your (thankfully!) recent break up (again!) with Evan, I haven’t heard you talk much about dating anyone.  Was wondering if you would let me set you up with someone?  We have a sister agency called Foxmeade and I recently met a managing director named Austin who is TOTALLY awesome.  Now you may be asking yourself, why doesn’t Renee go out with him herself?  Well, I would absolutely consider it, but I NEVER mix work with pleasure and we will be working together on a few projects.  So, you’re thinking, “well, what’s he like?”  He’s very savvy, creative and engaging.  Next, you may be asking yourself, “so what does this guy with a ‘great personality’ look like?”  He’s very tall and quite handsome with dark brown hair, warm brown eyes and a really gentle smile.  That leads you right to “If he’s so great, why is he single,” right?  Good question.  He was in a serious relationship and his girlfriend got an amazing job offer in Europe.  They tried the long distance thing, but it was just too hard.  He’s been on his own for about four months.  So, I thought to myself, “who is a charming, successful, beautiful and smart woman who would be worthy of such a fine man” and you IMMEDIATELY sprung to mind.  So, what do you think?  Up for it?

Oh, come on.  What have you got to lose?  It’s one night and I vouch for him.  He’s a really good guy.  He mentioned that one of their partners’ clients is hosting a big party to launch a new casino in Palm Springs.  It’s a casino-themed event in Hollywood and supposedly some celebrities will be there.  He needs a date.  Say yes!?!

Subject: He is a small, small man

When I say small, I mean small in every sense of the word.  First, this man is not the 5’8” he claims to be in his profile.  No, he’s lucky if he cracks the 5’3” barrier.  Not that I’m judging.  I’m short.  So height has never really been a huge relationship factor for me.  But 5’8”?  No way.  Even more important, he is a small-minded, petty, rude, little man.  I would say he has a Napoleon complex, but he couldn’t get a part as “big” as Napoleon.  And as he would justify it, he would much rather delve into a smaller character so “it’s not all there on the page.”
