Heroine of the Jewish Book of Esther.
The Book of Esther is the only book in the
Bible
which does not mention the name of God. The name ‘Esther’ is therefore read as the Hebrew verb, ‘I will hide’: God is constantly active even when he does not directly reveal his action.
