“I guess not many people have been to a shotgun wedding,” Logan said.

“Are you sure you don’t want me to get a shotgun? You know, to make it legit?” Hank asked with a smirk.

“No. I don’t want our wedding on the cover of
Big Guns and Hot Babes
.”

“You got a copy of that anywhere?”

Logan laughed.

As they walked into the living room, the pit of his stomach dropped. They’d piled all of the furniture into the corner of the room. Chairs faced the fireplace with an aisle in between the rows. He didn’t usually get nervous about anything, but everyone would be watching him. He had no idea what to say. Hopefully the reverend would help him through it.

The reverend stood in front of the fire, facing the guests. When he spotted Logan, he motioned for him to come forward. After taking a deep breath, Logan walked down the aisle. All eyes were on him as he reached the front of the room.

He stood next to the reverend and waited. A bead of sweat formed on his forehead and his knees wobbled slightly.

Pull it together man
, his bear huffed.

When the wedding march began to play, he drew on his bear’s strength to keep from passing out.

The second Kate stepped into view, all of the nervousness vanished. The stunning woman walking down the aisle had captured his heart in a way no one else could. He loved her more than anything in the world and couldn’t wait to be her husband.

“I’m ready.” Kate looped her arm through Mack’s as she stood at the beginning of the aisle.

“Welcome to the family,” he said as he handed her a bouquet of multicolored flowers.

“Where on earth did you get these?” she asked.

“I have my ways,” he said with a wink.

She smiled as they walked down the aisle. Although she didn’t recognize anyone other than Logan’s brothers and their mates, love flowed through the room. To think that perfect strangers would come together to help her celebrate their love warmed her heart.

When she spotted Logan, she couldn’t take her eyes off his handsome face. Her bear rolled around in her chest with delight. It recognized her mate and couldn’t wait to spend forever with him.

Mack unhooked her arm from under his and gave her hand to Logan. After the brothers shook hands, she turned with Logan to face the reverend.

“Dearly beloved, we’re gathered here today to judge a cake-baking contest. Oh, and to get these two hitched,” the reverend said.

Logan and Kate laughed then locked eyes with each other.

“Logan, do you have any vows you want to say?” The reverend’s tone dropped to a whisper. “If not, I know a few oldies but goodies.”

“I know what I want to say,” Logan said with conviction. “Kate, I promise to love you more than I love anyone or anything else in the world… except maybe cheesecake.”

Most of the attendees groaned, while a few of the older people chuckled.

“I promise to let you steal the covers in the middle of the night when the power’s out. And I promise to give you first taste of all seven cakes in the kitchen.” His tone turned serious. “I also vow to make you the happiest woman on earth, to love and protect you until we both die on the same day in our sleep together.”

Kate laughed and cried at the same time. How could she follow that?

She took a moment to collect herself before saying, “Logan, I love you more than I ever thought I could love someone. You taught me that love was possible when I didn’t believe in it. And I promise I’ll be the best wife in the world… unless you leave your socks on the floor. If that happens, all bets are off.”

As the attendees laughed, and Gertrude yelled out, “Damn right, honey.”

Kate smiled as Logan took the wedding ring from a small pillow. He held it over the tip of her finger.

“Kate, do you promise to love Logan and care for him in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, as long as you both shall live?” the reverend asked.

“I do,” she said as Logan slipped the ring onto her finger.

“Logan, do you promise to love Kate and care for her in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, as long as you both shall live?”

“I do,” he said as Kate slipped a matching gold band onto his finger.

“Then by the power vested in me by God and the state of Montana, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss your bride.”

As wedding music swelled in the background, Logan cupped her face and gave her the sweetest, most tender kiss of her life. She returned his kiss and wrapped her arms around his neck. When he lifted her off her feet, she giggled.

They turned, hand in hand, and walked down the aisle toward their family.

Logan’s brothers and their mates gathered around, chatting and drinking champagne as they celebrated their wedding. Kate took every opportunity to steal kisses with her husband. After about an hour, someone suggested they cut the cakes.

Instead of judging the cakes, they were all declared wedding cake. Logan cut the first piece and fed a little to his wife. As Kate returned the gesture, Logan nibbled on her fingers. Little flashes of pleasure coiled in her belly. She couldn’t wait to get into bed with him.

“You have to toss your bouquet,” Madison said.

“Okay.” Kate returned to the living room where everyone milled about.

“We’re doing the bouquet toss, so all the single women should gather around,” Madison said.

Kate turned her back on the crowd and as Madison counted to three, Kate tossed the bouquet over her shoulder. She turned to find a stunned Hank holding onto the flowers.

“You’re supposed to let a woman catch it,” Madison admonished.

“It was flying at my head, what was I supposed to do?” Hank asked, exasperated.

“I guess you’re next, buddy,” Logan said as he slapped Hank on the back.

His shocked brother quickly handed the bouquet to Gertrude.

“I’m too old for you, dear,” she said.

“Well, dance with me anyway,” he said with a laugh.

As the night wound down, guests congratulated them one last time before drifting upstairs. Logan’s brothers and their mates walked Kate and Logan to the front door.

“You kids have a good night,” Mack said.

“Oh, I intend to,” Logan gave her hand a squeeze, which had her blushing. He scooped her up into his arms. “I might be late to breakfast.”

“I’ll bring your breakfast in the morning,” Madison said.

“Make it noon,” Logan said.

“Noon it is.”

The trip back to her home flew by as Logan practically ran to get her there. She clung to his neck as desire flooded her body. He didn’t put her down until they reached her bedroom. For a moment, she wrapped her arms around him and hugged him as tightly as she could.

When she finally released him, she gazed up into his eyes. “Take me to bed, husband.”

“I love you, wife,” he whispered.

As he peeled the wedding dress off of her body, her heart soared. She couldn’t believe she’d finally found the love she’d been yearning for her entire life.

Excerpt

Rachel whispered, “You should go.”

When he didn’t immediately respond, butterflies beat furiously in her belly. His breath came fast and hard. His eyes glimmered with unspoken desire. Close enough to see the wash of stubble on his cheeks, she flicked her tongue out to wet her lips and, in doing so, made a huge mistake.

In an instant, Brady wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her to him. His lips slashed across hers in a demanding kiss that stole her breath. Even if she’d wanted to fight him, she couldn’t. She knew, without a doubt, that she’d awakened the beast lurking inside him—his bear.

His tongue slid between hers, eliciting a gasp from deep within her chest. All thoughts of fighting him vanished as he claimed her mouth. She wrapped her arms around his neck and drew him down to deepen the kiss. It had been so long since she’d kissed someone that the overwhelming rush of pleasure made her half-faint with wanton need.

He broke away long enough to gasp. “Which room?”

“Two-fifteen.”

He scooped her into his arms as if she were lighter than a feather. When they reached the door, she yanked the keycard out of her jeans and jammed it into the lock. The second it clicked open, he kicked the door with his boot. He carried her inside and kicked the door closed behind him.

She couldn’t look at anything but the twin dark pools of desire in his eyes. The pure, masculine scent of erotic need rolled off of him in waves. She inhaled deeply, drawing in his essence.

After setting her down, he cupped her face with his palms. “If you want me to stop…”

She shook her head, unable to make her lips move. This was crazy, but she couldn’t think about the consequences now. She needed him, wanted him, and wouldn’t stop until she had him.

Kane stood behind her. His rock hard body brushed against her as he poured water down her back. “You have the hips and body of a Goddess. Women should be round and soft. And you… you’re absolutely what we’re looking for.”

Raff closed the distance between them and brushed a feather-light kiss across her mouth. She moaned as Kane used one finger to draw a line from the nape of her neck to the base of her spine. She pressed her breasts against Raff’s chest. Behind her, Kane moved closer.

Sandwiched between the men, she lost track of whose hands caressed her hips and whose lips burned a trail of kisses across the hollow of her throat.

Lost in an orgy of sensation, she closed her eyes and fell into their arms. She recognized Raff’s lips as they captured hers again. She returned the passionate kiss with fervor. As her lips parted to welcome his tongue, Kane slid his hand across the lowest part of her belly. She tensed.

Kane whispered. “Relax. Let us worship you.”
