Bloodline
s account of Lemarchands history. Indeed, the painting of him in the Leviathan house shows him more as an older man and an aristocrat. But all this can be forgiven when we remember that The Host is not really the authority he claims to be, but rather is playing the role based on information he was able to pick up along the way. There is nothing to say that the Leviathan House was even designed by Lemarchand at all; more likely it was simply an appropriate house for his needs.
