Read The Knowledge Stone Online

For the possessors of the Stones, there was no going back. Once found and activated, each Stone was in that particular ownership for the rest of that person’s life. Throwing the Stone away, destroying it or otherwise disposing of it was pointless. The current ownership link would continue unchanged. During ownership, the Stone was totally inert to anyone else’s touch; even if they slipped finger and thumb into the depressions on its surface, they would experience nothing. On the other hand, the Stone would become ownerless with the physical death of the possessor. At that moment, there was a disconnection; then, the Stone would return to its active
waiting
mode, ready for human contact.
Julian, totally self-centred, dishonest, false and manipulative, neither
knew
nor
understood.
He was totally bewildered at the sudden reversal of his fortunes. After prison he faced a life of complete despair and his future looked totally bleak; nothing but aggression, unkindness, rejection and indifference filled his life. No matter how hard he tried, no success, no prospects, no money. Worst of all, no Sunia in his life. How could she have rejected his love? (He could not know that it was her love for Alex that shielded her from his transmitted desires.) How could all these terrible things be happening to him? Had he not always been kind, helpful and generous to everyone? Of course he could not grasp that it was the power and constancy of Margarite’s love for him that was his only lifeline to the future.
Joachim, unfailingly genuine, good-hearted and kind,
knew
but he did not
understand.
He knew that the Stone was magic. He knew that it was somehow responsible for what had happened to him. He was immensely grateful that his extremely hard, brutal and hopeless existence had been changed by the Stone. From that time he had lived an absolutely wonderful life, trusted, integrated into a wonderful family, loved and respected by all. And, unknown to him, his transmitted love kindled and rekindled a lasting love in those he met; a re-awakening of the love which lies within everyone. Perhaps, in time, Joachim would come to understand how all this came to pass.
Kati, evil, cunning and incredibly cruel,
knew
and
understood.
She knew that her life had been changed irrevocably by the Stone. She knew that her feelings towards others were now reciprocated, reflected back at her with equal power. She knew that there would be no love in any of these reflections of power, for she never transmitted love. Her spoken words demonstrated complete understanding of her situation, specifically by the words she uttered at that moment her husband was advancing upon her for the first time:
‘My God, you’ve changed. Suddenly. You, all of you, have become exactly like …
ME.’
In fact, Kati was only at the threshold of understanding. She had understood
how
but she had no concept of
why.
Her journey towards true understanding would certainly be slow and unreliable; her inexperience of goodwill towards others was a crippling handicap that she would need to overcome to make any progress. Only then could she begin to have some sort of appreciation of the awesome strategy that had been put in place for the stability and development of the world in which she would continue to live. Would she ever understand that her destiny was in her own hands?
Down the ages, human thought and action has invariably included clear concepts of good and evil, so clear that it is unnecessary to define them. However the effects of good and evil have always been of paramount importance in human life; the growth and strengthening of goodness, manifested as love, have led to all things positive while the growth of evil has been a pathway to negativity, destruction and hatred. The fact that mankind is completely free to choose good or evil at any time has made life dangerously precarious for all.
However, mankind is not left completely alone. The Knowledge Stones are part of the strategic intervention applied by the Power who has created and continues to create the Universe. It is not the Stones that carry out the work of this intervention; in this scheme of great elegance, the Stones are merely the conduits, the catalysts, which allow their possessors to apply the full effects of the intervention. Notably, the possessors are not changed; they retain fully their convictions about good and evil, along with the free will to apply them. Amazingly, there is no need for external pre-selection of the possessors, because the strategy operates unfailingly for the common good, simultaneously weakening and destroying evil while strengthening goodness through love.
When evil is projected by the owner/possessors and reflected back, the perpetrators are seriously afflicted by their own evil. The effect of this is to discourage, diminish and destroy evil. The stories of Kati and Julian were illustrations of this. However, there is also a wonderfully positive dimension available to such people. Those like Kati and Julian are offered the real possibility of restitution; by understanding the purpose of the Stones,
the why,
they can be redeemed and saved by changes of their own hearts. By learning love.
Conversely, when good is projected it not only is reflected back to the possessor but also acts powerfully in the recipients to awaken or re-awaken their own goodness. Consequently, love, the true spirit of goodness, is strengthened and made anew. This is how the lives of Joachim, Malik, Maretta and Giana were transformed. Love begets love. The effect is as the ripples from a stone dropped in a pool of water, ever widening to infinity.
This is the purpose of the Power’s intervention. The strategy is perfect. The effect is awesome.
And the Knowledge Stones are waiting.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
And now these three remain; faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
