“This is all about trust,” he'd told her time and time again and she did trust him. She trusted him more than she trusted most people in her life, especially those she'd just met. The things she allowed him to do to her... it terrified her when she stop to reflect on how much she was willing to give into him. With everything they'd done, she only had to use her “red” safe word once. Apparently electricity was not her thing. Alistair was a gentleman, ceasing the current immediately upon hearing her cry out the word. Then he made it all better with his expert tongue and wonderful cock. God, just thinking about him at that moment made her pussy ache for his touch. She could actually feel herself get wet as she thought about his cock sliding into her.

“Hello? Earth to Felicity, contact has been lost, Earth to Felicity, come in,” Allison said, jarring her from her reverie.

“What?” Felicity asked, blinking.

“Damn, bitch, where'd you go just now?” Allison cocked an eyebrow. “You got me sitting here talking to myself like I'm crazy.”

“What are you talking about?”

“Your eyes were all glassy and you had this look on your face. Kinda made me wish I was right there with you. So...” she leaned across the table. “Where did you go, girl?”

Felicity scoffed. “Nowhere, I was just thinking about my story,” she lied.

“I was just asking you about that before your temporary lobotomy...” Allison giggled.

Felicity flashed her middle finger and Allison's giggle erupted into a high-pitched cackle.

“As you were just saying...” Felicity prodded.

“So girl, just how far along are you on that story?” Allison repeated her question before taking a bite of her grilled chicken salad.

Felicity had been dreading that question, mainly because she had almost forgotten all about it. Being with Alistair took control of her every thought. She was going to have to come up with something to tell her friend and fast.

“Not too good.”
Well, at least it was the truth.

“Why, what's up?” Allison took another bite of her salad.

“I've been to the club a few times, even made friends with the owner, but he's really secretive about his members' business.”

“I'm not surprised to hear that, you shouldn't be surprised either.”

“No, I'm not surprised, it's just that I don't think I'm ever going to get any information about the mayor going to that place.”

“Have you tried peeking in on the rooms?”

“The ones that are open are empty. There's no way I'm going to be able to barge in on anyone in that club. I don't even know if he goes as often as I'm going.”

“Is this you giving up? Or you think maybe this source of yours is pulling your chain?”

“I'm not giving up and my source swears on his money-making ass that what he told me is true. I just don't know how I'm going to get the proof I need.”

Allison took a sip of her ice tea. “Look, can you get your source to give up his source. Or maybe just send some interview questions for his source to answer and return to you?”

Felicity paused. That actually wasn't a bad idea. “I guess I could.”

“Yeah, just promise to keep their name out of the paper, you know the drill.”

“But, that's still going to be difficult because the information she's going to give me will be far too specific for her to remain anonymous.”
So much for that being a good idea.

“Your ass better think of something, because you had me drudge up that worthless sewer rat bastard ex-boyfriend of mine for all of his surveillance equipment you ain't even putting to good use,” Allison said.

“Oh, about him... why did you go on that date with him?”

“Because that was his price for bringing all that equipment. I dragged it out for as long as I could, shit. It was a little over two weeks ago when I agreed to give him another chance on your behalf. After his endless nagging, I decided to get it over with. Needless to say, I wasn't surprised it only took him seventy-two hours to blow it. Asshole,” Allison said with a grimace.

“Sorry about that. I really do appreciate your sacrifice,” Felicity teased.

“Whatever.” Allison rolled her eyes, but the smirk on her face told Felicity it was in good spirits.

“I just wish I knew how to get solid proof on the mayor.” Felicity was back on track where her story was concerned. Three weeks and she was still at the starting line and that was unacceptable.

“I'm your bestest friend in the world, say those words to me right now,” Allison said.

“Hun? Where did that come from?” Felicity frowned, confused.

“Say it.”

She gave Allison a sideways glance. “I don't trust you. You're trying to set me up.”

“Ooooh, I should just get up from this table right now and leave your ass sitting there. Then I should ask the supervisor to move my desk and lose your raggedy-ass phone number while I'm at it,” Allison joked.

“Now, don't be that way. You can be so dramatic and goofy at the same time,” Felicity said, laughing. “What is it you wanted me to say again, and this better lead  to something good.”

Allison repeated the words and Felicity rolled her eyes.

“Fine,” Felicity said. “Allison you are my bestest friend in the whole wide world.”

Allison frowned. “Ugh, you had no conviction behind those words. No passion, I don't believe you.”

“Allie! I don't have all day to fool around with your crazy ass!” Felicity retorted, though she was smiling at her friend’s antics.

Allison laughed. “Nope, I’m not letting you off easily. Especially not after you had me talking to myself whilst you were out in Lala Land. What I'm about to suggest needs the bond of BFF to be solidified. Let me hear those words.”

Felicity sighed heavily. “Allison, if you needed a kidney, I'd give it to you. You are my best friend forever and ever, my sister from another mother. But you already know this, I ought to throat punch you for making me jump through hoops.”

“Damn, violent ass. Okay, I believe you now. This is what I was suggesting. If you don't think this chick is going to do a story for you, maybe she'll be willing to sneak the cameras in during one of her meetings with the mayor?” Allison suggested.

“Wow, that's actually a good idea. I'll call and find out.” Felicity pulled out her cell phone and rose, walking away from the table. It was best to keep her conversation private. She dialed Jason's number and was relieved when he finally answered on the fourth ring.

“Hey, what's up?” he asked.

“I've got a huge favor to ask.”

“You mean in addition to the other huge favors you've asked?”

“Seriously. Besides, I haven't bothered you for favors in two weeks,” Felicity said in her defense.

“That's true. So how's your story coming along?”

“It's not. That's why I need your help.”

“I can't get involved like all that.”

“I'm not asking you to get involved. I just want to know if your source would be willing to sneak in a few hidden cameras during one of her sessions?”

“I don't know. I'll get back to you on that.”

“Okay, call me soon.”

“Okay.”

She ended the call and returned to the table with Allison.

“So, what did she say?”

“I was speaking with my source's source. He said he'll call me back if she's willing to do that.”

“Well, now we're making progress... or at least trying to.”

“Yeah, if I can get her to agree to that, I'll tell Mr. Greene about my story idea.”

“I still think you should wait until you can present him with the story itself. What if this is still all some bullshit. You don't want to go to him with that. You'll never live it down. Make sure you have your solid proof,” Allison suggested.

“Damn, you're so right. See, that's why you're my best friend.”

“And your voice of reason.”

“Some of the time.”

“Whatever.”

Felicity laughed. “We need to get back to work.”

“Wait a minute, I've just got to ask. What are you doing when you go to this club?”

It was a question she hoped she could have avoided all together. Just how was she going to explain what she does when she goes to the club? That she sits there, beside Alistair watching scenes of Dominants working over their subs. That it makes her horny beyond all reason and if she's been good, Alistair fingers might find their way between her legs. How could she tell her friend that she enjoyed having orgasms in front of the others. That just two days ago, she'd given Alistair one hell of a blow-job in front of the members and was feeling proud at how loudly he vocalized his pleasure. How even now, she was still wearing her diamond choker under her turtleneck and very protective of it. How could she tell her friend that she loved being dominated by a sex God of epic fucking proportions? Allison would never understand.

“Are you high?” Allison asked, jarring her from her thoughts.

“What?”

“Girl, every time I ask you a question lately, you go off somewhere and never come back,” Allison said. “At least not on your own, I have to come get you.”

“I've just got a lot on my mind. What was your question?”

“I was just curious about the club, about what you did there when you go?”

“Oh, I walk around a little to see if I can find out where the mayor is. Other than that, I just watch from time to time,” she lied.

“So, what is it like?”

“I mean, it's what you'd expect. A bunch of people, walking around dressed in leather or rubber or latex, spanking and fucking,” Felicity said, trying to downplay the atmosphere that had hooked her from the moment she walked in.

Allison snorted. “That is some crazy shit, right there. They can keep that. I know you'll be happy when you don't have to go to that club anymore.”

“So happy,” Felicity lied again. The lies were just flowing from her this afternoon. “We should head back.”

“Yeah, sure.”

An hour into the second half of their shift, Felicity's cell phone began ringing. She looked at the caller ID and rose from her chair. She answered it as she stepped into the copier room, grateful no one was there.

“Bad news, she said she can't do the whole 'sneaking cameras in', thing. Says the room is checked for bugs and shit before he even comes in by his security and the owner,” Jason said.

“Damn it!” Felicity cursed.

“She says she's willing to help where she can, because she's getting ready to cut this asshole loose. He's been getting freakier with what he wants her to do and making her uncomfortable. I think he scares her and I want her away from him as soon as possible. If you can land this story, ruin his re-election, he gets what the fuck he deserves as far as I'm concerned.”

“Like what? I mean, what is he asking of her?” Felicity was curious as Jason seemed to be taking this whole situation very personally. It made her wonder who this woman was to him? Just what was it the mayor wanted his dominatrix to do that was crossing the line? From what Alistair had told her, a person's kinks weren't anything to be ashamed of, and a Dominant understood that. So what was the problem?

“When I asked, she didn't really want to tell me. I do know that he likes watersports and I don't know about you... but fuck that,” Jason said.

Watersports. Felicity knew what that was. She hadn't seen the act performed live, but she knew what it was. She tried hard not to judge anyone on their kinks these days. No telling how someone like Jason or Allison would look at her if they'd only knew what got her off. A part of her wondered if it was anything Alistair engaged in, though he never brought it up to her. Of that, she'd been grateful. He'd have to hear the dreaded “red” if he tried. Still, if she could catch the mayor in the act of a watersport scene, her successful career boost was in the bag. If she could catch him, that was. The man was more paranoid than Howard Hughes as far as she was concerned.

“Yeah, I don't blame you. I'm trying to figure out what do to since they scan the room.” Felicity paused as she thought about her options. Then it came to her, at least she hoped it was something that would work. “I've got it!”

“What?”

“Would she be willing to leave the door unlocked?”

“Hmmmm, that might be workable because his guards don't wait outside the room. They wait in the car while he's inside.”

“That's even better. All I need for her to do is leave the door unlocked and I'll take care of the rest. She'll look innocent when it's all said and done,” Felicity was pleased with herself for being so ingenious.

“I'll let her know and get back with you,” Jason said, sounding hopeful.

“Thanks.” Felicity ended the call. If she could get this source to give her the time and date, she could be ready... oh oh... ready for what? She couldn't do the deed herself. No doubt Alistair would get word of one of his member's privacy being completely and totally violated. She didn't want to turn Alistair against her, especially when she was hoping she could evolve their relationship into something so much more everlasting. She was going to need help and even more favors. She walked back to her desk, sitting down silently as she pondered the dilemma.
