Fucking beautiful.

Sydney

I
t was Sunday night, and in the industry I worked in, it was more like my Saturday night. Most salons were closed on Sundays and Mondays so Saturdays were our Fridays. The girls, Luka and Brooks, and I were all going out to a club that they had been raving about called Ice. It was slightly off the strip, but I heard it was the place for anyone who was anyone to be. It was the “It” place.

Shimmying on my black strapless dress with a fitted bodice, I secured it in the back, but I couldn’t’ get it all the way up. “Damn it.”

I walked across the hall, could hear him playing his guitar, so I stopped a moment, and then knocked on his door. The music stopped and Damien swung open the door. He didn’t say hello, how was I doing, nothing. He just looked at me.

And I mean it was a head to toe full on appraisal. It was like he was undressing me with his eyes, even though I was already partially undressed.

“Um…” He looked so hot standing there with one arm on the door and the other tucked into the front pockets of his jeans. “Would you mind zipping me up?” He was the last person in the world I wanted to see me with a zipper half way down, but I didn’t have a choice.

“Ye… yeah, sure.” I turned around and he began to zip me up, his knuckles dragged along my skin and my body broke out into goose bumps. And I swear I already needed a fresh set of panties.

“Thanks.” I turned around and walked to my room. But before I could close the door, he was by my side.

“Where are you going all dressed up?”

“I’m going to Ice with the girls from the salon.” He raised an eyebrow at me, and I raised mine back at him.

“Well, I’m coming too. Reeve and I were planning to go out tonight, so we might as well go with you.”

“Are you inviting yourself?” Damn, this man knew no bounds, but I wouldn’t deny the idea of him joining us tonight gave me a thrill.

“Abso-fucking-lutely.” He gave me the panty dropping smile and my nipples went hard.

“Well, your ass better be ready in forty-five minutes when the cab gets here.”

“No problem. I’ll call Reeve and have him meet us here, as well.” Still grinning, “You’re looking really hot tonight.”

I blushed and then looked down at the ground. “Thanks. Now hurry up.”

Walking back to my room, I had a goofy smile on my face. He could be so flippin’ sweet when he wanted to be.

Finishing getting ready, I slipped on some platform peep toe turquoise heels and tied the look together with some complimentary jewelry and then spritzed on my signature perfume. I gave myself one last look. Approved. Grabbed my clutch and headed for the kitchen.

I walked down the hall and followed the noises. The boys were standing around in the kitchen each with a beer in their hands. “You guys ready? The cab should be here any minute.”

“Yeah, let us finish the rest of our beers.” They both tilted their heads back and drank them down.

“You look gorgeous, Sydney,” Reeve said with a suave smile. Charming girls had to be a specialty of this family. I looked over at Damien and saw him shoot daggers at his brother.

Okay.

“Thanks, Reeve. You look pretty handsome yourself.” And he did. He was dressed in dark denim jeans, a white button down shirt, and stunning black leather loafers. He was hot.

I looked to Damien. He actually looked ten times hotter than Reeve did. He had on ripped up jeans, a button up black shirt, and black motorcycle boots. My mouth hung open as I stared at him.

“You see something you like?” Damien said with a smirk on his face.

“Um, yeah, I mean no.” Shit, crap, flippin’ great. “You look nice, too.” I plastered a genuine smile on my face and tried to blow off my embarrassment.

Once we got to the club, we were able to bypass the line because Damien knew one of the bouncers. I had texted Shaina and she said they were already there and had a table by the dance floor in the VIP area. Apparently, one of the owners was Drea’s client and offered to hook us up.

I told the guys where they were and Damien put his hands on the small of my back and guided us to them. I felt my skin prickle under his touch.

“Hey, everyone! We’re here!” Shaina and Mags got up and came over to us. Shaina gave me a hug, but Mags went straight for Damien. I rolled my eyes to myself. Didn’t she realize he was mine? For the love of God, I even came with him. But hell, what was I thinking—just because we rode in the same car together and were roommates didn’t mean he was mine. He could be anyone’s.

“Girl, you look fucking hot,” Luka said pausing with his glass halfway up to his mouth. “Have I ever told you that if I were straight, honey, you’d do it for me?”

Brooks elbowed him. “Hey, what was that for?

He smiled at him. “Watch it, hot stuff.”

“Oh, I’ll watch it.” Luka’s eyes did a full sweep over Brooks, and then he sealed his lips over his and gave him what I would guess was a toe-curling kiss.

This was getting a little too steamy for me. I grabbed Shaina’s hand and dragged her to the bar with me. “I need a cocktail, like stat.”

“Well, we certainly can arrange that, Princess.”

“Hey, who are you calling a Princess?” We both started laughing.

The bartender came over to us. I looked to Shaina. “Do a shot with me.”

“Sure.”

“Okay, we’ll have two shots of Tequila and a Malibu Rum with Pink Lemonade.” I put money out on the bar.

“Oh, that sounds good. Make that two of the cocktails,” Shaina told the bartender

“I’m getting drunk tonight!”

“Me, too.” We both started giggling like school girls again.

Once we got our drinks, we headed back to the table. I couldn’t believe what I saw when we got there. Mags was in Damien’s lap. Un-freaking-believable. My stomach dropped and my throat got tight. I knew he wasn’t really mine, but seeing him with another woman was hard to swallow. I felt like we’d grown so close.

We went and sat down on the opposite end of the table. I was seated between Drea and Shaina. Drea started talking. “So I have to tell you all about this new toy I got.”

Then it became very clear. “It’s this bullet called The Audrey. My sales associate Jenny said it was their best seller. And let me tell you girls, I certainly know why.” We all started laughing. “You get it on your clit and it hits at just the right spot and the orgasm is amazing.”

I didn’t understand why she needed a toy. “Drea, that’s what your husband is for.” For Christ sakes, she was married. Wasn’t that part of marriage?

“Oh, honey, when you get to be my age, all your husband wants to do is sit around, watch TV, and to scratch his balls.”

We all started laughing again. Drea was a stitch when she had a few drinks in her. I diverted my attention away from the conversation and looked down at the end of the table. To my surprise, Mags wasn’t on Damien’s lap. She had changed and was now on Reeve’s lap. Apparently, this girl could get around and from the stories that she told at the salon, she was just as bad as Damien was.

The music came on and the lights dimmed a bit. I didn’t think it could get any darker in the club, but apparently, I was wrong. For the life of me, I had no clue what the song was. It was techno and I wasn’t into techno. But I could dance to anything. I grabbed Shaina by the hand. “Come on, woman, let’s go shake our asses.”

She got up and headed to the dance floor. I glanced back at the table again and noticed Damien was in a conversation with Brooks. Mags was fondling Reeve, and I had no doubt in my mind that Drea was still telling her crazed sex toy stories.

Shaina came up behind me, and we began bumping and grinding against one another. It drove the men flippin’ crazy to see two chicks all up on one another.

Glancing back at the table, I noticed Damien had his eyes trained on me. I pouted out my lips and gave him my best provocative look. He just winked at me and then turned back to his conversation. My belly did that deep, delicious flutter. But I had to wonder why he was winking at me. Could he possibly think of me as more than a roommate? He had slowed down with the revolving door of women, and he seemed to always be focused on my needs. Something was different and it felt good, right. I caught his eye and winked back at him. Sure, a little flirting wouldn’t hurt.

“Hey, Shaina, let’s go get a couple of more shots,” I shouted over the music.

She nodded her head and we went to the bar. This time, we did two Tequila shots each. We headed back to the dance floor. It was even more packed than it was before.

I was shaking my ass as I felt someone slide their hands around my hips. At first, I was hesitant and a little thrown off guard, but the alcohol carried me away. We started to grind up against one another. Glancing over my shoulder, I noticed he was pretty tall and was really good looking.

I mean like really good looking.

We danced a few songs together and things were getting really hot and heavy between us. Shaina broke away from the guy she was dancing and leaned into my ear. “I’m headed to the bathroom.”

I nodded my head in acknowledgment. Mr. Tall and Hot started trailing his hands up my waist and then to my breasts. I was feeling the effects of the alcohol and didn’t stop him.

The next thing I knew, he was pulling me off the dance floor toward the back of the club. I tried to break free from him. “Hey, let go of me, asshole.”

He looked back over his shoulder and gave me a menacing grin. Holy fucks, this couldn’t be happening to me again. I started to panic. My hair stood up on my neck, my palms became sweaty, and my lips started to tremble.

Oh, God, no.

I fought to break free as his hands dug into my fingers and he hurriedly started walking. But he was just so much bigger than I was that I couldn’t break free. He looked over his shoulders again and the look I saw in his eyes told me that he was going to take what wasn’t his. If I wasn’t panicking already, my fear quadrupled, and I felt myself not being able to breathe. I started to shout again for anyone to help me, but I knew no one could hear me over the sound of the music.

As he sped up the pace dragging me across the clip, my feet slipped out from under me. My head came down with a large thud against a solid object and hit my temple and the side of my eye. When my body hit the floor with a thud, I saw the table that I had hit. It didn’t even have a scratch. I wasn’t going to be that lucky.

Things were a bit hazy from there. I saw Damien’s fist connecting to this guy’s face. He didn’t stop hitting him. Over and over. It didn’t look like he was going to stop until the guy was a pile of bloody goo. He was my savior once again, and my heart grew a little warmer.

Reeve and Shaina were by my side. “Sydney? Are you okay?”

I looked up in a daze at them. “I don’t know.”

The bouncers had swarmed us and were pulling the two men apart. “You motherfucker, don’t you ever touch her again. Or next time you won’t be so lucky to have the bouncers come to rescue your sorry ass,” I heard Damien say.

“Fuck you. The little slut was asking for it.”

Damien was out of the bouncer’s arms and hit Not-So-Hot-Anymore guy in the face sending him to the ground.

They started to carry off Damien. But he stopped them. “Baby, are you all right?”

I rubbed my head and it felt really sore. “I don’t feel so good.” And then I threw up.

Shaina went to grab something to clean it up while Reeve was all over me checking my eyes, face, and head. “Bro, I’m pretty sure she has a concussion.”

“Get her the fuck out of here. I’ll meet you out front.” The bouncers led Damien to the door while Reeve gathered me into his arms and followed.

We got out to the street and they hailed a cab. During the ride, Damien kept me coherent by talking to me about random things, but mostly making sure that I was all right. He kept one arm slung across me. He often whispered sweet words of concern in my ear and told me repeatedly that he would take care of me. It felt so good to have someone care for me. And it did feel good.

Really good.

My heart swelled with what I felt for this man.

The next thing I knew, I was being laid down in my bed. Both Reeve and Damien were by my side. “Baby, you need to stay awake. You can’t sleep.”
