We spotted the author, Melissa, and Emma about jumped out of her seat to tackle her in a hug. You had to love her enthusiasm.

As I looked over at Emma, I couldn’t help but think about a time when I didn’t have her in my life. What kind of guy I was. Lifeless, a robot, living my life for my father and doing what was expected. If you had told me two years earlier that love at first sight existed, I would have laughed in your face and called you a fool. The thing was, I had never been around a couple who were truly in love until Collin met Brynn. Little did I know that Brynn would bring a woman into my life who would not only make me a believer of love at first sight, but a preacher about it as well. I tell young guys all the time that their fate is out there, just like mine had been.

The best part about Emma is I can be myself around her. I don’t have to be the stuffy businessman everyone else expects; I can be playful, and the banter back and forth between us is always effortless.

I reached over when the room filled with darkness and ran my hand up the hem of her dress. I could hear the intake of her breath when I went a little higher, and was close to my favorite spot on her body, aside from those damn green eyes that almost hypnotize me every time she glances in my direction. When she told me my eyes were what drew her to me, she almost didn’t believe me when I told her the same thing about her own emerald beauties. She swore I had said it was her legs, which I might have told her, but it was those eyes that captivated me.

“Let’s go get some popcorn; we have time,” I whispered in her ear which earned me a little laugh.

Her laugh was short lived though, because in a second my hand was swatted away and I was being told to pay attention to the movie.

Emma leaned over a minute later and whispered in my ear, “When we get back to the hotel, you can have all the popcorn you want.” She playfully licked my ear which made me need to readjust my pants.
Great, now I had to sit through the movie with a damn hard on.

Some might say my and Emma’s relationship moved too fast, but when you find that lost puzzle piece to your life, why would you wait to see what happens to it? I wasn’t about to find out. That was why a few months after Collin’s wedding, I asked her and Sadie to find a new place with me. Something that we could call our own. We'd been dating for a little over a year, and I'd never been more sure about anything in my life than I was about Emma Walker being my soulmate.

She didn’t know that after the premiere I had a surprise for her. We had already visited two destinations on our top ten lists, one being the Louvre in Paris. She couldn’t get over how small the Mona Lisa was, but was like a kid in a candy shop, and couldn’t get enough. The other destination was a surprise getaway weekend I’d planned in Canada. We spent a weekend whale watching in the Bay of Fundy. It had been one of our best weekends together, and we talked about bringing Brynn and Collin when we go back.

The surprise I had planned that was waiting for her at our hotel, before we had any popcorn, were two tickets to her number one place to visit. I was taking her to the capital of romance novels, Edinburgh, Scotland. She also didn’t know that I had a diamond ring burning a hole in my right pocket. I had it set so we were flying out first thing tomorrow morning, and we'd be engaged the next day at sunset.

I leaned over, placed a kiss on my future wife’s cheek, and whispered I loved her in her ear. Little did she know what I had planned for her. Our future was bright and open. Maybe one day when we felt like risking our lives, we would go visit the pyramids in Egypt, but in the meantime we’d stick to safe and romantic destinations. Who knows what our future will hold. One thing, however, is certain for mine, and that is the gorgeous blonde sitting next to me in those killer red high heels.
