"Well yeah, these are my peoples. We got a girls division called
Dem Gyrlz
, too. You should join."

"I'll pass. I don't do the motorcycle thing."

"You want something to drink?"

"A glass of water will be fine."

"You don't drink?"

"Yeah I do, but I already had something back at the club."

"Oh, what you want to eat then?"

"I don't know. I'm not really that hungry."

"Don't tell me you one of those chicks who only like to eat salads and shit."

"Nah." She grinned.

"Oh, 'cause I was gettin' ready to say we about to change that."

"Trust me, I eat. As a matter of fact, I think I'm gonna have the Filet."

"Cool. You ain't gotta front in front of me. I like a chick that eats."

Mo could only smile. She loved the sound of Boss' voice. It was so raspy and filled with bass just like the rapper Nas. Once their order was placed, they all sat around laughing and talking until the food arrived.

"Yo, you married?" S. Dot questioned out of nowhere.

"Why?"

"'Cause I wanna know."

"No, not yet, but I am engaged."

"Where your man get yo' ring from?"

"Damn, you nosey! Tiffany's," Mo answered proudly, admiring her ring. "Why?"

"You sure, 'cause I could've sworn I seen that same ring on QVC a couple of weeks ago," S. Dot joked.

"No you did not just say you saw my ring on QVC!" Mo cracked up laughing as her cell phone rang. It was Quan, but she ignored the call.

"Ay, I told her." Boss couldn't help but laugh, too.

"Yo, when you go home tonight you need to smack that muthafucka. That nigga straight up got you rockin' a cubic zirconia."

"Quit hatin'. Y'all gon' quit talkin' about my ring."

"I'm just fuckin' wit you, sweetheart." S. Dot gave a half smile. "Yo' man did good, ma."

"Thanks, hater," she giggled, checking her phone again.

Quan had text messaged her.

From My Boo (555-2192)

Date 07/05/06 1:55 am

Ok game over. Where the fuck u at? This shit ain't funny no more, Mo. Call me back man Ignore Reply

Mo rolled her eyes, deleted the message and turned her attention back to Boss.

"Now back to you, what is it that occupies your time during the day? 'Cause you stay fly, or do your parents still take care of you?" she teased.

"You real funny, ma. I work. What do you think normal people do during the day?"

"People or niggas? 'Cause niggas hustle all day."

"You wild. Nah shorty, I work at a carwash. Plus I rhyme a little bit."

"
Carwash?
" she exclaimed, scrunching up her face.
Oh
hell naw
, she thought.

"Why you say it like that?" Boss asked, offended. "What, me workin' for carwash ain't good enough for you?"

"Boy, I don't care about you washing cars," Mo lied.

In her mind, as soon as she heard the words "car" and

"wash" their date was a wrap. She needed a man with deep pockets. Hell, Mo spent more money on an outfit and a pair of shoes than Boss made in a week.

"I just thought--"

"That I sold dope?" Boss cut her off.

"Well, yeah."

"Nah shorty, I don't make those kinda moves. That dope boy shit is for the birds. Don't nothing good come from that.

I make my money the legit way."

"I feel you. That's good to hear," Mo verified. "But anyway, spit something for me. I'm always looking to discover new talent."

"What, you in the industry?"

"Naw but in a minute I might be. So spit something, and let me hear you."

"I don't rhyme for free, ma." He grinned, showcasing the deep dimples in his cheeks.

"Oh it's like that. A'ight, don't say I never asked."

"Nah, it ain't nothing like that. I don't take the shit seriously. It's just something I do for fun."

"Oh."

"But that don't mean you can't flow for me. Go 'head, bust a hot sixteen."

"I don't bust sixteens. I bust twenty-fours." Mo doubled over in laughter.

"You goofy, man." Boss chuckled.

Mo chilled with Boss and his friends for a couple hours before she decided it was time to head home. Once she said her goodbyes, he walked her back outside into the early morning breeze. The streets of downtown were still buzzing with people.

"You sure you don't want me to drive you home, 'cause I don't feel comfortable wit you riding in a cab this early in the morning."

"I'll be fine. Remember, I'm a big girl."

"Big girl? Yeah, a'ight. We'll see how big you are when I stick this python up in you." He grinned and licked his lips.

As if time were moving at a slow pace, Mo watched eagerly as Boss' pink tongue glided across his lower lip and became wet. She couldn't even front, he had the sexiest full lips she had ever seen.

"I ... feel ... so ... violated," she whispered slowly in a daze. "On the real ... I had a really good time. Before you called, my day hadn't been going too well."

"Talk to me." He pulled her into him by her belt loop and wrapped his tattoo-filled arms around her waist. They were now face to face and chest to chest exchanging breaths. "What happened?"

"Same ole same ole. Me and my fiance got into it." Boss' upper lip curled as he held his head back. He didn't want to be, but he was jealous.

"Are you happy?"

"Sometimes," Mo answered. Boss could see the sadness in her eyes as she spoke.

"I know the next time I call, you bet not have an attitude.

Don't be letting that nigga stress you out like that." Having no response to his comment, Mo turned her face to the side and shuffled her feet.

"Look at me," he ordered, turning her face toward him with his index finger. "What, you nervous or something?"

"Now why would I be nervous?" She smiled, knowing good and well she was.

"You know I like you, right?"

"Yeah I know," she whispered, taken in by his presence.

This lil' nigga gon' mess around and make me cum on myself
, she thought, gazing into his captivating brown eyes. Mo hadn't been this caught up since she met Quan.

"Your friends are really cool," she continued on, unsure of what to say or do next.

"Fuck my friends. We ain't talkin' about them right now.

We talkin' about us," he spoke in a low tone while massaging her back, butt and thighs.

"What about us?"

"Like ... when am I gonna see you again." He kissed one side of her neck.

"And?" Mo said, completely turned by his touch.

"How I wanna be your man and not your friend." He kissed the other side. "And how every time I see you, I think about pullin' your hair and hittin' it from the back hard."

"Well alright."

"Shit, that's real and I'm sorry if I come off disrespectful or too sexual but this is how I feel. Whether you like it or not, I'ma find a part of your heart that I can bother."

"But--"

"Shh," Boss replied.

Mo bit down into her bottom lip, closed her eyes and enjoyed the sensation of his strong hands caressing her body.

Boss' fingertips pressed deep into the skin of her back and his lips devoured hers. Then, without warning, just as she was beginning to get used to the excitement of his lips on hers, he gently pulled her hair, then licked and bit her neck. With her head back, unable to control herself, Mo released a moan.

His tongue felt so warm. With each flicker her body quaked. Mo was like a limp rag doll in his arms. The only thing she could seem to do was shudder and moan. Rubbing the back of his head, she relished the sensation of his tongue traveling up her chest to her ear.

"I wanna fuck the shit outta you," he whispered.

Mo could feel her panties soak with wet, sticky cream. One of his hands still gripped her hair as he aggressively took control of her soft lips. Using his other hand, Boss peeled back the fabric of Mo's shirt revealing her already-hard nipple. The wind whistling across her breasts and the touch of Boss' thumb running over her exposed nipple crippled any and all rational thinking she had.

Mo knew she was trippin', carrying on like she ain't have no man, but her pussy was throbbing and her panties were creaming wet with juices. You couldn't tell her that her clit wasn't swollen. Her pussy was begging to cum. They knew that people were walking by, taking notice of their public dis-play of affection, but neither Boss nor Mo cared. Being in each other's arms felt too good to stop.

The sound of a horn blowing is what brought them back to reality. Releasing her grip on him, Mo turned around and saw her cab.

"Umm." She cleared her throat, trying to pull herself back together. "That's me."

"Yeah ... so ah ... get at me when you get a chance," Boss replied, unsure of what to say after what had just happened.

"I will," she responded, hugging him tight. "Thanks again."

"No problem, shorty," he spoke softly into her ear before letting go.

Boss watched with anxiety as the cab Mo was in pulled away from the curb. He hated to see her leave. He wanted nothing more than to grab a room and kiss her everywhere between her knees and waist. The taste of her skin was so sweet, it was almost sinful. His mouth wanted to search her body with his tongue all night. But Mo wasn't his.

He hoped like hell though that one day she would be. He could tell that her man wasn't treating her right. But who was he to hate? Whatever her man was doing seemed to be enough to satisfy her needs. That still didn't stop him from wondering what could be. Back inside the restaurant, he met back up with his boys, who were all prepared to leave.

"Ole girl gone?" Grizz said.

"Yeah, she just left."

"So what's up wit you and her?" he asked, concerned.

Grizz was like a big brother to Boss. He didn't want to see him get hurt.

"I don't know ... but lil' mama a winner." Mo didn't return home until almost four o'clock in the morning. The whole time she was wit Boss, Quan blew up her phone, but each time he called, Mo would direct his call to voicemail. She was tired of arguing, and besides that, she didn't have any more will in her to fight. All she wanted was time to breathe and be by herself.

Going home was the last thing on her mind because she knew as soon as she stepped through the door, she and Quan were going to be at each other's throats again. At times like this she wondered why she even put up with all his mess. The only thing he ever seemed to do was cause her pain, yet for some reason the thought of letting him go made her heart ache even more.

Mo stepped out of the red and white County Cab, inhaled deeply and prayed that Quan was either asleep or still out. But God must not have heard her prayers because as soon as she stepped foot through the door, he was up in her face. Mo braced herself for war. She was ready to be cussed out or even hit, but to her astonishment Quan didn't even take it there.

He simply shot her a look of discontent, then turned around and walked upstairs.

Surprised by his change of attitude, Mo silently followed suit. Once in their bedroom, they both tried their best to avoid one another. Quan turned on the stereo. "
Where Did It Go
Wrong?
" by Anthony Hamilton filled the room. Neither knew what to say or do. Mo peeled off her clothes and watched as Quan undressed, too. He was on the opposite side of the bed with his back facing her. Just looking at him and knowing that she couldn't touch him the way she wanted to was tearing her up inside.

For the first time in a long time, she wanted him in the worst way. With every fiber of her being, Mo wanted to show her man just how much she loved and adored him. But the rift they'd built between them made it seem as if things would never be the same. Dressed in only his boxers, Quan turned back the covers and got underneath without uttering one word to Mo. When she returned home, he had all the intentions in the world on cussing her out and kicking her ass for staying out so late and not answering her phone, but by the time she walked through the door, all of those feelings had faded away. The fact that she'd returned home safe was all that mattered at that point, but the hurt was still there.

Naked, Mo turned off the light and slipped into bed next him. With her full, firm breasts pressed up against his warm back, she wrapped her arm around his waist and kissed the back of his neck. Anthony's gravelly Southern voice moved her in such a way that she couldn't help herself. Quan tried his best to ignore her, but when she pulled him by the arm and turned him over, he couldn't deny the sexual tension between them anymore. Not saying a word, Mo used her body as her way of saying
I'm sorry
. Straddling him, she slowly kissed his mouth.
