“Good God, you feel so good,” Eduardo stressed
through clenched teeth.

A wild, unfamiliar, insatiable lust surfaced that
Amber could not control. The farther she explored his outburst for
her, the further it was met and Amber too was on the threshold of
climax. “Oh God!” She exclaimed as well, throwing her head back in
stimulation, suffering an intense, ongoing climax, blooming and
tingling down to the tips of her toes.

Savoring the sound of her sweet ecstasy, Eduardo
strained his fit arms and searched her eyes for fulfillment. Once
satisfied, he held his post for a few more seconds thereupon
released the explosion that’s fully plagued him.

Languidly lying back down on her body, Eduardo
buried his head in the crux of her neck, kissing her throat with
fluttering joy.

Good Lord...that was absolutely wonderful,
Amber thought wandering the muscles on his back with her eyes back
closed.
There was absolutely no concentration on my part; he was
not only an expert in enhancement, but in formula. I’m gonna need
him more than once,
Amber realized while forcing her eyes
open.

Eduardo stared down at Amber as her eyes slowly
opened. He couldn’t comprehend what emotions were fulfilled. Was it
lust? Was it a necessity? Was he...
in love?
That, by far,
was the finest sexual encounter he ever owned. Whatever the emotion
he felt only increased his appetite to be with her.

Amber grabbed his face, his heightened green eyes
had transformed back to softness and light. He was serious...too
grim, and she...well, she was overwhelmed with love. She spat out
the first thing that popped in her head. “That was simply terrible
Eduardo,” she teased, kissing him lightly on the lips. “I thought
you’d be better than that.”

Eduardo tsked at her temporary insanity. “On the
contrary dear girl,” he playfully confessed, intimately bringing
her in. “I expected more from someone I’ve dreamt of making love
too since meeting her.” He wrapped his arms behind her shoulders
and tenderly kissed her on her cheek. “This counsel motions the
court for an extension to plead his case,” he whispered
vehemently.

“We have to go home,” she heard herself say.

“I am home,” he quietly voiced, circling his mouth
on the base of her throat.

Amber smiled inwardly and closed her eyes. Eduardo’s
thickness moved within her and obsession briskly flowered. Feeling
secure surrounded by him, she allowed him to make love to her a
second time as comfort, ease, warmth and euphoria lingered all
around.

“Absolutely Mr. Sanchez,” she expressed, roaming his
muscular backside once again, “Your motion is hereby granted.”

Twenty-One

In The Palm Of Her Hand

“Are you avoiding me?”

Amber swiveled around in her office chair and glared
into the eyes of the most handsome lover she ever had. She knew now
that Eduardo’s upper body was glossy silk spread over rigid
muscles. His chest hair thinned downhill and lay atop a phenomenal
reward. His legs strong, his tongue and mouth sinful, and when he
climaxed, he closed his eyes as if in agony and the most arousing
expression materialized.

Eduardo stood nonchalant with a tint of irritation
spread over his raised eyebrows.

She rather liked seeing him perturbed. Amber tried
to disguise her grin by biting down on her lower lip. “Whatever
gave you that idea?” She teased.

“I tried calling your house,” Eduardo hushed down,
“Over the weekend, tried several times in fact, but I was strained
to hear the answering machine.”

Amber thought how convenient it was to keep Eduardo
guessing by having Adrian’s soccer game on Saturday, dinner out
with her mother and sister Saturday night and Valentina’s
Mommy
and Me
classes on Sunday to help occupy her time. “I had things
to do.”

Eduardo heavily sighed; her sturdy body posture,
along with her swift attitude disheartened his certainty. “Having
second thoughts?”

Amber marveled at his woebegone façade, “About
what?”

Eduardo pensively looked down at the floor, “Never
thought I’d be so easy to forget.”

Amber smiled, “Refresh my memory?”

Eduardo met her exuberance; “You look dazzling by
the way.”

“You don’t have to continue to say things like
that.”

“Attention from me is rare Amber, when you have it,
enjoy it.”

Amber crossed her legs mechanically and caught his
eyes snagged by her allure. “Then...thank you.”

“Do you wish to pick up where we left off? Or do we
both claim amnesia?”

Amber noted his glib temperament and gazed around
them and noticed two Attorneys in the wings conversing with one
another. They don’t bother to look their way and she decided to
mess about with Eduardo’s consideration. “Common sense tells me not
to get involved with someone like you.”

Eduardo laughed sickly at her comment and gazed over
at the two associates now arguing. “What can I do to convince you
of my sincerity?”

Amber let go a winning grin, her flirtatious game
had succeeded. Apparently, she held all the Aces and held Eduardo
Sanchez by the balls.

Eduardo stood tranquilized. His restraint was
unfamiliar now that he tasted her. He found a new temptation—and a
keen frustration—the obstacle of not being allowed to touch her
when the impulse arose. Amber was a perpetual obsession for him, he
wanted to kiss her neck, her shoulders, suck in her tongue and
slide his mouth over erected parts of her body. The past two days
were excruciating. After their encounter, Amber said nothing else,
grabbed her clothes and left without a further word. He didn’t
sleep a wink on Friday only to watch the sun rise and set on
Saturday. Sunday he strolled around his house like a lovesick puppy
thinking up lies and scenarios for reasons for him showing up
unannounced at their house and had to constrain himself from
driving over to his brother’s uninvited. His whole disposition
changed. The anticipation to get to Monday besieged him.

He looked over at Tom and Jerry still squabbling,
contemplated on how it would look if he got down on his knees—in
the middle of the Assistant quad, no less—and begged Amber to
continue their affair. But pride held him back, he was still an
overconfident male and vowed never to allow another female reduce
him to a groveling imbecile again, even if it was Amber. He felt
like a helpless animal caught in a noose and humiliation surged his
throat like vomit. “Well silence speaks volumes, doesn’t it?” He
uttered in a twisted smile. “Listen Amber I thought we were
friends. I thought I’d show you some preference.”

Amber giggled, “I’m flattered.”

Eduardo puffed up with contempt. “By your obvious
nonsensical mind-set, it seems you want me to treat you
indifferent.”

Amber straight away swallowed her fun.

“So here’s the exit I give to all my trysts,”
Eduardo expressed disappointed, “Decide if you want to be on the
receiving end.”

Right before her very eyes, Eduardo showed her
nothing but disrespect. His expression transformed from considerate
and tender to cruel and glacial.

“Since sex with you was all I wanted, my time with
you was adequate. There won’t be a second time, so there’s no need
for numbers.”

Amber’s mouth slowly opened. She never, ever saw him
so disconnected and inconsiderate! Amber watched in anxiety as
Eduardo bent over to retrieve a briefcase and an overnight bag that
he had hidden behind her desk. Amber’s heart began to thump.
He’s leaving?
All her mirth flew right out the office. Good
Lord, why did she start this prank? Why did she choose to joke
around instead of admitting she was happy to see him? Give in to
that impulse of throwing her arms around his neck the moment he
came near? Oh God, why didn’t she just answer the calls over the
weekend? She heard the phone ringing but never answered it in fear
it could
be him. The entire weekend she found herself
mourning his touch, his lips, the tranquility he supplied which
left her homesick. Why did she feel she had to run away from the
one thing that made her feel so absolutely complete?

Tears formed at the back of her eyes, she wanted to
wrap her arms around his broad shoulders and kiss him hard till his
lips swelled. “That was brutal,” she voiced, blinking back tears.
“I feel sorry for all those poor girls who’ve had to hear
that.”

Eduardo’s unfriendly demeanor melted at the sight of
Amber wiping away the wetness. He held his belongings firmly in his
hands in fear he might be throwing them at the wall anytime
soon.

“Where are you going?”

Eduardo focused on a single tear that dripped down
her cheek as she looked up, “To Sacramento to settle a case.”

Amber wiped the moisture away from her skin only to
feel others gushing out. “When you get back...will you hold
me?”

Eduardo shut his eyes in liberation. Amber just
handed him that resolution. His heart leaped with joy within seeing
those tears in her eyes and the regret proved further that she
wanted to be with him too. “Oh I will,” he voiced huskily, “But
I’ll be doing more than just holding you.”

* * * * *

How can she feel shame, when it felt so pure? Amber
began an affair with not one-ounce of guilt. She wanted to feel
remorse, she truly did, but all she felt was love, warmth, security
and an undeniable connection. She was oftentimes bewildered how
well her body fit within his when they were naked, how the rhythms
of their kisses were identical and the pulse of their lovemaking
exactly alike. It was as if she already knew how to please that
man, and vice versa. There was no guesswork involved, all she had
to do was just look at him and she knew exactly what he was
thinking.

Their physical attack unleashed a barrage of dormant
passion and they frequented various motels up and down Sunset
Boulevard who offered Daily Rates. Breaking off early each night,
crashing through the motel door, barely making it to the bed, it
was very challenging for either one of them to be apart for too
long, their thrill for each other—on vivacity so high—it took hours
to come down. They were like magnets, coming together with such
concentration and such force; they barely had time to think about
the aftermath.

Amber was still amazed that the good-looking
attorney in the office was interested in her. Amber, in spite of
everything, was still very insecure, Eduardo packed full the
ingredient that was missing in her marriage with Victor and Amber
never felt so absolute yet still so unsure of herself.

Walking out of the hair salon with a giddy
expression pasted to her face, Amber recalled her past rendezvous
with Eduardo. She waited for him patiently in the motel room. He
was a few minutes late, but arrived with flowers and a sensual grin
that took her breath away. He threw down the flowers and grabbed
her to him, nearly crushing her arms from the strength of his
excitement and close embrace.

Oh how could she be this happy? Amber wanted to
emerge beautiful on top of feeling that way and made an appointment
at a beauty salon. She wanted to appear and undergo the part of a
woman who was able to entice the likes of Eduardo Sanchez. Keeping
the length of her hair, she had the stylist cut wispy bangs and
several layers across the back to give it more bounce. Walking on
air, she roamed the sidewalks of the Century City Plaza, searching
for the perfect negligee from the ritzy boutiques.

Eduardo out of town again, had to settle a case for
the firm. Amber hadn’t seen him in several days and her
anticipation of his return was unnerving. She felt lost without
him. His full attention was like a fricken drug.

Amber purchased her nightgown and proceeded out of
the doorway when Gordon Dagget cornered her.

“My-my, buying something sexy for the husband?”

Amber blushed, “Looks that way.”

Gordon surveyed her attire, her new look. “You look
marvelous by the way, cut your hair?”

Amber bit down on her lower lip. She was glad to see
the effect worked, especially to someone as equally as handsome as
Eduardo. “So you like it, huh?”

Gordon reached out and tweaked some bangs over her
face. Amber’s cheeks turned crimson; it was a towering feeling to
experience so much admiration lately. She never received so much
focus her entire life!

“I do. Where you headed for?”

“Just doing some shopping.”

“Care if I join you?”

Amber thought about it; another good-looking ladies
man. She had a surplus of attention from the one that mattered, so
Gordon was harmless, right? “Sure, walk with me.”

They strolled together down the long open-air
shopping plaza and every now and then, Gordon would lean into her
and graze her shoulder.
A display of intimacy,
Amber
realized, and that weakened her assurance.

“How’s the defamation case going?”

“Ready for trial in two weeks,” Amber stated
proudly.

“Good, then you’ll be free to help me out with a
case I’m working on.”

Amber looked at him quizzically. “Why?”

“Because I like your company...and, I want you on my
team.”

Amber heard the purring in his voice. Gordon’s
speech turned husky, and Amber started in amazement. “Gordon, I’m
married.”

Gordon laughed, “I find that a challenge.”

Amber rolled her eyes, “Why are good-looking men
always so confident?”

He stopped and grabbed her by the shoulders, “Why?
Who else has been hitting on you? Tell me now so I can defend your
honor.”

Amber gazed into his blue eyes and giggled, “You’re
just as bad as my brother-in-law.”

Gordon let go a meager sneer, “Ah—to be compared
along the same lines as the talented attorney, then I take that as
a compliment Amber. You are so sweet,” Gordon said, brushing
Amber’s shoulder with his hand.
