“Whoa, why is Tia crying?” Chris said as the guys entered the room.

“Oh like you don’t know, Mr. NFL. She told us you wanted to ‘talk’ about your relationship.” Gabrielle was not one to withhold tongue or attitude when it came to her girls. She was nose to nose, sort of, with Chris.

“What?” Gabrielle punched him in his arm.

“Ouch! Look slow down. I am not breaking up with you, Tia. I want to make sure you are happy with me and…” Beads of sweat started forming around his eyebrows. “Why don’t you step with me outside on the balcony and we can talk.” He held out his hand in a gesture to get Tia to follow. She took the bait and they stepped outside. The rest of us stood there, unsure of how things were going to be between those two. We just got here, with six days to go.

“Your requested lunch is ready, Mr. Hansen,” the chef announced.

“Thanks, Tim. We are waiting for our two friends so we will be there in a moment.”

“Very well, sir.” Tia and Chris walked back in and Tia was still in tears.

“Oh no, you guys split up,” Samantha spoke with heartfelt pain, but Tia shook her head no.

“Okay, so why are you still crying?” I asked.

“She said yes!” Chris exclaimed, and released her hand to show us the engagement ring.

We all screamed and ran over to Tia and hugged her, jumping up and down screaming. We fell to the floor, tripping over each other as we jumped around. The guys were giving high-fives, hugs and laughing at us, of course. Everyone was astonished and happy.

“Oh my, I can’t believe it,” I said after all the commotion had calmed down.

“Me either,” Tia replied. The ring was gorgeous. Marquis cut, 3-carat flawless diamond on a platinum band. Simple and elegant at the same time. I looked over to Chris, who appeared to be wiping tears from his eyes.

“A toast, a toast.” Gabrielle ran from the kitchen with a bottle of champagne and Tim followed with glasses to fill.

“To Tia and Chris. Congratulations on finding your happy ever after. We wish you a lifetime of love, peace, and happiness. I love you, mami.” Everyone saluted the happy couple.

“Let’s go eat and we can settle down,” Jason said. We all headed to the dining room for lunch.

“Mmm, that was delicious,” Gabrielle said, boasting about lunch. “I am stuffed, like the shrimp we had.” She wasn’t good at jokes and her thick accent didn’t help. I watched Chris and Tia sitting on the couch looking at each other lovingly, Chris admiring the ring he had placed on her hand, Tia gently kissing Chris’s hand as he held her. I couldn’t believe one of the four of us was getting married. I thought back over all the years we have shared together, the good and the bad. Nicholas looked at me with a smile.

“Hey, you okay over there? Are you sad your friend is getting married?” he asked.

“No, I am happy for them. I am amazed that she found what she had been looking for,” I replied. “Tia vowed to never get married if no one could commit to her the way she needed them. With his schedule, I didn’t think it would work, but it did.”

“Do you see yourself in her position?” he asked.

“What getting married? No! I have a lot of ground to cover before jumping the broom.” Nicholas laughed.

“Ha. No, I meant ever? Maybe down the road.” His stare made me uncomfortable, not in a bad way, but like the question was about our relationship.

“I don’t know. I guess it depends on the guy and the situation.” I played coyly, trying to avoid the obvious innuendo.

“Maya, I am not asking you to marry me. Calm down. I wanted to know your thoughts on marriage. I know that Jaimie talks about when she gets married what she wants. I figured all girls must do that because you are shocked that Tia and Chris are getting married. Plus, if I wanted to ask you, I would and you wouldn’t say no.” His eyes deepened with passion and a smile. He placed his hands on my face and leaned in to kiss me. I began to hunger for him and kissed him harder, leaning him back to where he was laying down.

“Um, don’t you two have a room you can do that in?” Samantha said, bringing me back to reality. When I am with Nicholas, I tune the world and my surroundings out.

“What do y’all wanna get into?” Nicholas asked.

“It’s obvious what you want to get into,” Jason said. Nicholas threw a pillow at Jason for that snide remark.

“How about guys against the girls football game down on the beach?” I would have expected Chris to say that, but Samantha actually made the suggestion. All eyes were on her out of shock.

“Samantha, you do realize that we have a professional among us,” Jason said as he gently brushed a loose piece of hair from her face. She stilled for a moment at the touch of his hand and let out a slow exhale.

“Yes, Jason. I know running back extraordinaire is on your team, but I think we can take you on, only if you play nice,” Samantha replied. She took one of his fingers and gently nibbled on it. His eyes widened and a sly grin came over his face.

“Now who needs the room?” Nicholas said.

“Let’s go play ball. Girls, you down?” I sat up with enthusiasm. I loved sports, obviously, and playing ball with the guys on the beach sounded like great fun.

“Sure, let’s go.” Tia jumped up excitedly.

“Okay, you ladies go get dressed and we will meet you by the stairs headed to the beach,” Rick said decidedly. We all agreed and Tia and Gabrielle headed to the cottage house and Samantha and I headed to our rooms to change into appropriate attire.

“Isn’t it exciting about Tia and Chris?” Samantha questioned.

“It’s great.” My tone faded as I thought of the conversation Nicholas and I had about our relationship.

“Are you okay with them being engaged?” Samantha noticed my tone and took it as disappointment about the happy couple.

“No, no. I am happy for them, shocked, but most definitely happy.” I smiled to reassure her that my tone had nothing to do with the impending nuptials.

“So why the distant tone, Maya?” Her look was of concern and wonder. I hesitated to tell her because I didn’t want her to think too much into the matter. It was not a big thing to me, but it did make me think about where I saw this relationship going.

“Nicholas and I had a discussion earlier about if I saw myself in Tia’s position. I thought he was insinuating us getting married, but he wasn’t. It made me think about what I want in my future. I mean our time together is good, great actually. I’m not sure if more is in store; not sure what either of us want. We love each other, but is that progression or complacency?”

“You are really thinking about this. It’s in your eyes. Do you want more than the occasional stayovers and dinners?” I was putting on my tank top and buttoning my short-shorts as I thought about her question.

“That’s just it, Samantha. I am not sure what I want. Can I handle more? All of those questions are not ones I can answer right now because I simply do not know.” Samantha looked at me with a look of despair and shook her head.

“Maya, I think you do know you just don’t want to be honest with yourself or deal with it. You’re just pushing it to the side as usual. That’s what you do.” I couldn’t tell if Samantha was speaking to me or to herself. She also falls into the pitfalls of relationship trials, but maybe she convinced herself based on the little display she put on earlier, nibbling on Jason’s finger.

“I guess you got it all figured out, Miss Nibble On My Finger.” I took the heat off me and turned it right on her; another thing I was good at, deflection.

“Ah, good toss back,” she conceded and we went out using the balcony door to meet the rest of the guys on the beach.

It seemed all of us were thinking the same thing when it came to what to wear. Exposing our best assets to serve as our defense. I knew Nicholas loved all of me, but I think he loved my legs best, so I intentionally wore short-shorts. Gabrielle wore a midriff, exposing the bottom of her breasts. Samantha was our workout diva and had a toned body, not cut like a body builder and she wasn’t anorexic or skinny. She was thick and fit and she also had on short-shorts and a top hanging off her shoulder, showing off her midriff. Our bride-to-be only wore bikini bottoms and Chris’s jersey. I wasn’t going to touch that. The guys took one look at us as we approached them on the beach and they were in shock. Chris turned around and walked away from the guys after seeing Tia. Rick dropped the football that he was tossing hand to hand when he laid eyes on Gabrielle. Jason stared at Samantha, never breaking sight. Nicholas walked toward me and pulled me to the side.

“What are you girls doing?” he asked, his eyes never leaving mine, were that dark shade of green that makes me wetter than the ocean beside us.

“What do you mean? We are here to play ball.” I had to break from his trance and walk toward the rest of the group. He reached out and grabbed me.

“You are going to pay for this,” he whispered in my ear and nibbled a little as he walked away. Now I knew I was wetter than the ocean. We huddled with our groups to devise a game plan. We talked about tossing the ball to each other and just running. We knew they were going to beat us, but we had to try. When we finished talking, we turned to get into playing formation, but we were now distracted. They removed the T-shirts they were wearing and stripped down to their boxer briefs. This was definitely unfair.

“Holy…”

“… Shit” We were stuck in the quicksand of desire. I began to bite on my finger as I stared at Nicholas.

“So are you ladies ready?” Nicholas said sarcastically. I walked over to where he was and stood face to face with him, looking up at him.

“You bet your sweet ass we are.” I smacked him on his ass for emphasis and walked away.

We had the ball first and I was the quarterback and decided to throw the ball to Samantha. She caught the ball and was immediately taken down by Jason, who took his time getting up off her. The next play was a run play so I handed Tia the ball and she ran, sort of. She fell because her foot was stuck in seaweed that washed up on shore. The next play was a pass to Gabrielle and she caught it after Samantha and Tia tackled Rick, and we scored the first touchdown. The guys were laughing at us because we put up a valiant effort, but we lost. Chris had to carry Tia back up because that seaweed tripped her up and hurt her ankle. Jason and Samantha walked back holding hands while Rick gave Gabrielle a piggyback ride. Nicholas and I walked side by side, admiring the fun our friends were having.

“Hey you,” he whispered to me. I turned to face him to get the full effect of him. “This was fun. You girls are great. I have never seen my guys have this much fun when alcohol and strange women are not involved.” I laughed because that was the typical single guy talk.

“This is a beautiful place. Everyone seems to be relaxed and enjoying themselves.”

“Everyone except you,” he said. We stopped at the beach by the stairs the led up to the villa. I looked over at him, searching for the reason he would say that.

“What do you mean, Nicholas?” He grabbed my hand with one hand and lifted my face toward his with the other.

“You seem to be a little distant like you are preoccupied with something. I hope all is okay.”

“Nicholas, I am fine. I am a little in shock at how fabulous this is, how fabulous you are. I’m kinda taken back by the way you take care of me. Sometimes I feel like I am in a dream when I am with you, a dream that I don’t want to end.”

“It doesn’t have to end.” He leaned in and kissed me as the winds gently stirred around us, blowing my hair. He pulled away for a moment and looked at me as I opened my eyes. His eyes, staring deep within me, were piercing into my sex. I could feel the desire igniting between us. He brushed his thumb against my bottom lip as I licked it, trying to prevent biting on it as I often do when nervous. He traced the outline of my neck with his finger and trailed down to my now erect nipples protruding through the tank top I was wearing.

“Do you know how fucking hot you look in that outfit?” he whispered as he leaned into my neck. He began playing with my nipples, causing my breathing to increase and my clit to throb intensely.

“Maya, I want to fuck you badly right now, right here. My dick is begging to get inside you.” His breathing began to match mine. I started nibbling on his ear and his neck, reaching down and gently squeezing his massive hard-on.

“Nicholas,” I whispered to get his attention. When he looked at me, I smiled and dropped to my knees and took him deep in my mouth, tasting his excitement already peaking.

“Fuck, Maya,” he grunted through clenched teeth. He grabbed my hair and removed it from the clip that was holding it in a messy updo. He massaged my head as I was giving him head, moaning and trying to hold back his release. I gently started rubbing his balls and applied pressure in that area between the balls and his anus, giving him intense pleasure that would make a man erupt without notice.

“Maya, baby,” he grunted. “Stop doing that.” I continued to suck him hard, tasting his excitement with each long lick I gave him. He started moving in rhythm and I knew his undoing was near. I continued to take him deep and slipped my pinky into his anus and he was done. He released hard into my mouth and pulled me off his cock.

“Fuck! Maya!” he exclaimed. I looked down and I could still see his release unloading. “What the fuck are you doing to me?” I walked over to the edge of the ocean and rinsed my mouth. Nicholas followed and splashed water on his face and his cock to cool down. He looked at my messy hair and helped me tame it by pulling it back into a ponytail. He still had my clip and used it to hold my hair in place. He kissed my cheek and my neck.
