Star wouldn’t let Blue see how much it cost, telling her that it was her birthday present from her, just to make up for the drama filled dinner. Blue gave her the biggest hug ever and told her she was grateful and that Star didn’t have to do that and she would totally pay for them herself. Star gave her the pirate smile she had in her arsenal, and then Blue knew she'd not have a chance of paying, even if she threw money at the sales assistants.

Star had Blue dropped off in her car, the driver took Blue's new things to her apartment. She said that Blue wasn't spoiled enough and gave her a hug, said she'd see her later. Blue tottered up to her building, the doorman had said there were no messages and that her guest hadn’t left yet. But when she got back into her apartment it was completely empty. The place was spotless, Pierre must have cleaned up, Blue was beginning to think he was perfect, but he'd also disappeared so her perfect man wasn't all that perfect.

Blue put her shopping on the bed and walked over to the wet room. She turned on the shower and let the water run for a while, letting it get hot and steamy. She showered and washed again, in her own time with the memory of that morning fresh in her mind. She had done so much today, and she was surprised when she thought about it. An amazing morning with Pierre, a wonderful dinner with her best friends and then Star had spent an absolute fortune on her. '
I'm one lucky girl
' she thought to herself. She had remembered the sense of foreboding in the restaurant, but she thought she'd not let that ruin her birthday and would start to worry about that another day. When she got out, she put on the Silk Kimono Robe that Star had bought her from Tokyo for her last birthday. Star had acquired it on one of her many loved up weekend trips around the world. The silk felt so luxurious, and always made Blue feel like a million dollars. She dried her hair, styled it and applied her new killer make-up. She took care not to ladder the rather expensive seemed stockings, before putting on her sexy lingerie, the lingerie looked so good on its own that she was almost tempted to go out in that alone. She put on her new dress, and fluffed up her mane of black and blue. She felt amazing and she actually did look stunning. She was radiant as if all the love she felt for Pierre was emanating from her very soul, lighting up her very essence. She hoped she would bump into him at some point in the evening, just to see him again, it made her heart flutter to think about him like that. She longed for a repeat performance of that morning, the ultimate morning of her life to date.

Blue met Cleo, Eliza, Jayne & Star in Naught, she thought to herself how strange yet funny (in a good way)it was that the bar was always in perpetual darkness. It was actually light when they went in there, by the time they left it was fast approaching sunset, the sun was glorious, a bright orange sphere over the horizon, their eyes had to get used to the light, after coming out of the dark bar. Naught was a good place to start though, everyone knew Blue. The staff made a fuss of her and they even had balloons and a cake for her. Blue thought they were brilliant and considered them all good friends, she was happy that they had spent some of their time with her on her birthday.

Star had arranged a Horse Drawn Carriage to take them to the “Manor House”, the absolute pinnacle of exclusive party locations. The Manor House was as lavish as Chatsworth and set on a similar amount of beautifully kept national country park. There were woods surrounding the estate. It was located at the edge of the city, so it was the perfect venue for outlandish parties that were just too big for the buildings in the city. Star had out done herself, again. But then that was why everyone who was anyone would beg, borrow or steal for her to plan one of their parties.

They got there as the sun was setting, the outside illuminations were lighting up the terrace areas. The heaters were keeping everyone comfortable on this Beltane Eve. The atmosphere was magical, fire performers were dancing with flames, faeries blowing bubbles around the guests, trapeze artists above the crowd performing death deifying stunts and aerial ballet, it was a surreal take on a Shakespearian mid summers night theme. All of Blue's friends were there, laughing, joking and having a good time. The escapism of it all had melted away their daily worries and they were enjoying themselves without consequence.

Blue was in popular demand with her male acquaintances and female ones for that matter. They all knew Blue was quite promiscuous and that she wasn’t really interested in settling down with any of them. They also knew she was financially comfortable, not rich by any means. But as an individual she wouldn’t be tamed easily and that was half the attraction to these guys, the challenge. They knew that whomever she settled down with would be one of the luckiest guys alive, well that's what Star kept telling Blue. Blue wasn't convinced. Blue didn't think she'd settle for anyone, but now she was smitten with Pierre.

She danced all night with everyone around, not just with one person, she danced salsa, tango, and let her hair down with freestyle wiggles. Everyone was having fun all around. Blue in the middle of it all with only one person on her mind. She looked for him with no luck at all in finding him. She was surrounded by all of her friends and yet she felt so depressingly lonely, as if she were stood there all by herself.

Blue walked over to one of the terrace walls, she had a cigarette as she stared out to the woods. Then she saw him in the distance, through the tree line. Her heart skipped a beat. She saw a flicker of his face, enough for her to be convinced that he was there. She saw him again, she scanned the trees and saw him again impossibly further around the tree line as though the trees weren't hindering his running at all. It was as if he was playing a game. But he looked different now, darker, more evil, and definitely more mysterious, if it were at all actually possible. Hook line and sinker, she wanted him, and needed him, so off she swanned.

She walked up the paths leading away from the house, through the gardens and towards the woods, the party was in full swing so she knew no-one would notice her gone, even if it was her party. The trees were denser than she had anticipated. She struggled to get through the trees, catching her expensive stockings on the twigs and branches, laddering and ripping them. She was so annoyed, she growled at her laddered legs. Blue glimpsed a figure a few hundred meters further into the woods. She thought it was Pierre and was spurred on again. She clambered on, fighting through the trees, slowly making her way towards where she'd seen him.

And then all of a sudden she felt two hands grasp hold of her shoulders, tightly, the strange fingers digging in, it hurt her, but she didn't even have time to scream, she was dragged backwards.

Then oblivion, nothing, she recalls patches of memory, but they lack any real sense or meaning, she remembers grabbing out to vegetation to try to hold on, scratching the hands on her shoulders, fighting against it, her screaming, muffled screaming, blood, she remembers being bitten, she remembers being Bitten to the very core of her, the beautiful evil, the piercing of her skin, sheer pain seething through her body, with all the sexual desire and longing that could ever exist in the world she remembers being bitten, it was the most intense, sexual, orgasmic feeling she has ever experienced.

The pivotal moment of her life. The moment Blue died.

Chapter Two.

In a large Mansion not so far away from Star's stack of bricks two old vamps were discussing with great gusto the recent events that concluded in the demise of the young lady Blue.

'Why the fuck did you bite her?' Snarled Pierre, he had never felt so utterly betrayed, and to feel this because of the actions of his best and only friend left in the world. He was furious. 'She was mine to bite, not yours! And she wasn't to be bitten! She was supposed to stay human, you know how precious that is! She could turn into a complete nightmare! How could you? Did you even think it through?' Pierre felt wounded, he felt like the rug had been pulled from under him. He was blissfully happy, he had had everything, he had the love of a beautiful woman and his best friend by his side. And in one foul swoop it was all gone. One simple bite.

Daen stared at Pierre. In over three hundred years he had not wanted to rip him apart as much as he did right now. In over three hundred years their friendship had not been tested to the point of destruction before. At this point in time they had not hated each other as much as they did right now.

'You know not of what you speak little one. There is much you do not know.'

Daen had chosen his words carefully, his voice was powerful and confident.

'How dare you speak to me like a child, you patronising ancient bastard!' Roared Pierre. Pierre was animated in his movements, moving very fast around the room as vampire's do. His hair down around his shoulders moved gently in the breeze of his movement, almost tranquilly, quite the opposite to the atmosphere betwixt the two vamps in the room. He was ready for a fight with Daen, ready, but he hoped it wouldn't come to that, he hoped that Daen would see sense.

The malice in Daen’s eyes grew.

'I have been watching her since the Oracle foretold of her birth. You know nothing of what is written. You are not worthy to know. You my little Pierre are just a mere vampire, you can’t even walk in the light. You are beneath her. Blue is, and is going to be so much more than even you can comprehend.'

Pierre was frustrated with his best friends ramblings, anything the Oracle said to him he believed without question. Pierre hated her, he always had done.

'I'm sure it's true that Blue is much more than I can comprehend, but she’s also much more than even you Daen can comprehend. You have been dragging my ass around with you for the last three hundred years. You’re on some personal quest to find a replacement for your beloved Isis and whatever that bitch the Oracle tells you, you believe! You don’t give a shit about Blue really, just what gap she fills in your life! It’s not fair on her and it’s not fair on me. You know how much she means to me, I think she’s the one. But because it doesn’t fit into your grand plan then its deemed inappropriate or forbidden by you and your precious fucking Oracle. I’m sick of this, sick of watching you bite the girls that you think are the reincarnation of Isis and then go ruin their lives. Blue isn’t a reincarnation of your old girlfriend. So just leave her alone.'

'Leave her alone, have you listened to yourself?' Daen's gaze was full of hate his eyes fixed on Pierre.

'You are beyond arrogance! Daen you are so jealous of what Blue and I have. You don’t understand us, you’re jealous that for once a girl has fallen for me. Not you. And that pisses you right off. Doesn't it? God Damn it Daen, three hundred years of companionship and friendship and the one moment I’m slightly happy you have to turn it around and make it about the prophecies. And then you go and fucking bite her! AND you do it whilst looking like me! I can’t believe you Daen, I’m beyond words.'

It was true about looking like Pierre, Daen had considered that a low point in his life, but the Oracle wouldn't let it go. Daen was pacing through his magnificent parlour, thinking to himself. There were massive windows with beautiful rich drapes of blue and green overlooking the Eden like garden. The chairs in the room matched the drapes as did the other décor in the room. Pacing backwards and forwards Daen was deep in thought. He thought back to his time in the Imperial Army. He had thousands of men under his control, even as a General he hadn't been mentally tested like this in his entire career. In his whole life. Isis had meant everything to him. Pierre couldn't be right he thought. Daen rubbed his head, he was clean shaven, bald, he was fed up , angry and frustrated. All he wanted was Isis, he thought Blue was Isis, or at least the reincarnation of her soul, the Oracle had convinced him so.

Pierre was surprisingly relaxed on a chaise long, he was angry at his life long friend for such a betrayal. He wished Daen would believe him over his precious Oracle. Daen breathed in deeply then went on, the growl in his voice box emanating through.

'You were supposed to just watch her then report back to me. Watch her from afar to see if she was the one. You weren’t supposed to get involved, let alone lay with her. She is the reincarnation of my beloved!'

'We met by accident, you know this already!' Pierre felt like he was talking to a brick wall.

'How very convenient your lies seem to be.' Daen crossed his massive arms across his powerful chest, he couldn't believe Pierre despite how much he wanted to.

'There is no talking to you is there Daen? You’re going to be stubborn and infuriating. I can’t deal with you like this. You make me sick.'

Pierre slowly got up out of the chaise long and started to walk to the door.

'Where are you going?' Questioned Daen.

'Like I would ever tell you.' Mocked Pierre.

'Pierre, don’t leave. It will be okay, she will be with us. We can work this out.' Daen didn't want to fall out with Pierre, he wanted them all together. Even though he was so impossibly infuriated with Pierre right now.

'We can't. I have no choice; you have given me no choice. I wish to leave before I say something I may regret. Goodbye Daen.'

Pierre walked out of the door, he was seething with anger, he almost couldn't believe what was happening. He strolled to the garage got into his custom Aston Martin Vanquish. The blacked out windows enabled Pierre to go anywhere in the blazing sunshine, it didn’t matter today there was a ferocious storm, there was lightening and it was pouring with rain.
