“But you do need it from Richy, eh?”

Volle laughed. “That’s different. I pay him and he goes away afterwards.” He shook his head. “I can’t believe I missed that setup.”

“See? That’s what I mean. Sooner you get this cotillion out of the way, the better. I only wish I could be there to see it.”

“I wish you could, too. How are things back in Vellenland?”

“Burren has the usual contingent of weasel ladies lined up for me to service, and papers to sign. On the whole, I’d rather sign the papers, but I don’t get a choice until there are at least three little Iklings running around.”

“Three?”

“At least a year old, too.”

“Oh. Sounds like a lot of work.”

“It wouldn’t be if they would actually be in season. It’s easy to fake with weasels. They have multiple seasons, so the scent doesn’t really change at all. So of course any lady who wants to have a noble kid
says
she’s in season, and we can’t tell whether she is or not.”

“Glad foxes aren’t like that.” He could remember the strange smell when his mother was in season, and how she’d sent him to stay with friends for a week whenever it started, once he turned ten. And his friend explaining to him, both of them wide-eyed at eight years old, that the smell was a little troll that came around selling babies, and if he found a tod and a vixen together he would make them take one and put it in the vixen’s tummy for six months.

“Lucky. Likely you’ll be done in one night.” Helfer grinned. “Let me know if you need some mead.”

“I will.” They arrived at the house, and found it rather busy. Three female bobcats were sitting around a table, the first time Volle could remember seeing more than one female in the club. They had to wait for an empty table, but only a few minutes, and Tally was bustling busily all over and didn’t see them at first. The scent of lust was even stronger than usual, and Volle found himself fidgeting and trying to ignore the tingling and slow swelling in his groin.

“This is why I usually go on Gaiaday,” Helfer said, settling in with a mug of watery wine. He didn’t seem as affected by the smell as Volle was, nor did he notice Volle’s reaction.

“Hope there’s not too long a wait.”

The weasel shook his head and sipped. “There won’t be. Most of these are hooking up with each other. Except them.” He nodded toward the bobcats. “But they look like they’re here for some group thing.”

Volle grinned. “I don’t know whether to be impressed that you can tell that, or curious.” But as he looked at the bobcats, he saw that they were all immersed in each other, not looking around at the other tables as most of the patrons were doing.

Helfer just snickered. Tally came over to them then, hurrying.

“Darlings! On our busiest night of the week! You should stick to your regular night.”

“This was sort of impromptu,” Volle said. “I didn’t want to meet my guest.”

“Oh! He had a lovely hour with Celann, and even tipped. He’s certainly a gentlefox. Friend of yours?”

“Future father-in-law,” Helfer put in, grinning.

“Oh my! I’d love to hear more, but…” He gestured around at the room. “Volle, you want Richy, right? He’ll be free in about fifteen minutes. Hef, there’s a lovely bunny who usually comes in around this time, if you want to wait for him.”

“Sure.” Helfer paid for a room, and Volle paid for Richy. The silver disappeared, Tally blew them both a kiss, and hurried away to another table.

“I should never have told you about Ilyana’s father.” Volle grinned. “Didn’t know you’d tell the first person that asked.”

Helfer looked hurt. “I haven’t told anyone else!” The hurt expression slid into a grin. “Besides, it’s too funny.”

“It is that,” Volle admitted, lapping at his wine with a grin. “I’m just glad he appreciated the gift. I wasn’t sure it would be appropriate.”

“I guess his wife knows?”

“I’m not sure about that. I would think she’d have to, but maybe it’s just one of those once-in-a-while things that he does and she doesn’t ask questions about.”

“Maybe. So how are your preparations going?”

“Ilyana’s really excited. I guess I’m a little excited for her, but…” Volle sighed. “I’ll be relieved when it’s all over.”

“Won’t we all,” Helfer chuckled, taking another sip of wine and then craning his neck at what seemed to Volle to be a painful angle to get a look at the rabbit who’d just walked in. “Wow. He is a looker.”

“I’m surprised you’re letting him sit down.” Volle grinned as Helfer scribbled a note and waved Tally down. “What do you write on those, anyway?”

“Oh, just my species and some of the things I like to do. Thanks.” Tally patted his head as he took the note. “Saves time, you know.”

Volle grinned. “There never seems to be much question in your case. Ever had someone turn you down?”

Helfer, watching the rabbit, shook his head. “No, but I usually pick the rabbits. I know what to say to them. See?”

The rabbit was looking over and nodding. Helfer stood up and grinned to Volle. “See you after.”

Volle chuckled and nodded. “Have fun.” He watched Helfer make his way over to the rabbit’s table. The two of them disappeared into the back within a minute.

“Don’t know how he manages it. He sure is charming.” He took another drink of wine, and then felt a gentle touch on his shoulder. A piece of paper fluttered down to the table.

“Two tables back and to your left, dear,” Tally murmured. “In case you don’t want to wait for Richy.”

Volle unfolded the note. In a neat, curliqued handwriting, someone had written, “You look like a cute fox. I’m a tender buck and I’d love to have you on top of me.”

He craned his neck back and saw a handsome stag watching him alone from a table. He was young, with only three points to his antlers, but he was dressed handsomely in a green linen outfit (which reminded Volle of Reese’s ‘hunter’ outfit). He smiled when he saw Volle turn, and mimed getting up, with a questioning raise of his eyebrows.

Volle considered it, but he’d been intrigued by his talk with Richy and felt that he owed the wolf an appointment, even though he knew the wolf didn’t really care if he missed a week or not. He shook his head and pointed at the back, and the stag, though he looked disappointed, smiled gracefully and started scanning the room for someone else. He’d started writing another note before Volle turned around.

He spent the next fifteen minutes listening to the raccoon combo playing, and thinking about Tish, Xiller, Ilyana, her father, and Arrin, before Tally came over with a smile on his purple-whiskered muzzle. “Richy’s ready, dear. Go on back. Room seven.”

“Thanks.” He smiled, got up, and walked to the back.

When he opened the door to room seven, the young wolf was lying on his back, nude, one knee crossed over the other. His tail thumped the bed when he saw Volle.

Volle closed the door and smiled. “Hi, Richy.”

“You’re two days late.” But he said it with a warm smile. He lowered the crossed leg to expose his sheath and pink erection, lying flat on his stomach fur. “I’ve been waiting and waiting.”

“I’m sorry.” Volle grinned. “Let me make it up to you.” He knelt at the side of the bed and leaned his muzzle over, lifting the wolf’s length with a paw and running his tongue over it. Richy rubbed behind his ears as he did it again, curling his tongue around the sensitive tip and then letting it go. He took his time, tracing the long hardness with his tongue over and over while he felt his own erection grow to match it. Finally he slid it into his muzzle, closing his lips around the swelling knot and pressing the hardness against the roof of his muzzle with his tongue. He slid his muzzle back and forth, paying particular attention to the tip, until he heard the wolf moan and felt his body shudder.

Slowly, he lifted his muzzle free, giving the glistening tip one last lick before he let it fall back to the warm, white-furred stomach. “If you want to finish me, you can,” Richy said quietly. “Some customers pay just for that.”

“I bet they do.” Volle teased his fur gently.

“Why don’t you take those clothes off and join me?”

“I will.” He wagged his tail slowly back and forth, and ran his paws up Richy’s stomach and chest, feeling the muscles and ribs below the fur. “I like feeling you.”

Richy settled back against the pillow. “You can do that too. Careful!”

But Volle’s paw had already reached up to the shoulder and felt an ugly lump, hidden under the fur. “Sorry,” he said as the wolf winced. “What’s that?”

“Bite,” Richy said shortly. “From a client last week. It still hurts.”

“Sorry. Was it a cat?”

“I really shouldn’t talk about…” Richy sighed. “He was a squirrel.”

Volle winced. “Ouch. Sharp teeth.” The wolf nodded. “Any other areas I should stay away from?”

Richy grinned and placed the fox’s black paw back on his long pink shaft. “If you stay here, you’ll be fine.”

Volle rubbed the length appreciatively and then stood up, slipping out of his pants and shirt quickly. He took a moment to draw his paw up his erection, which was already fully out of his sheath, and then reached for the cream in the chest.

“I can do that,” Richy said, but Volle stopped him with a paw.

“Just lie there and look beautiful,” he said, scooping some cream onto his fingers. He rubbed it under his tail, then wiped his fingers on a towel. Smiling, he slid onto the bed on his paws and knees, and applied his tongue to the wolf’s erection again, licking until it was glistening, teasing the tip with his lips until Richy’s control was wavering and he was moaning.

Then he swung his leg over the wolf, kneeling astride him. He reached down, lifted the wolf’s shaft from his stomach and positioned it under his tail. Wiggling his hips, he lowered himself quickly onto it, gasping as the slick length penetrated him. He felt the bulge of the wolf’s knot slide into him and out again with difficulty, the pressure forcing drops of fluid from his tip. He tightened his rear and slid almost all the way off, pressing around the wolf’s tip as he slid back and took him all the way in. It had been over two weeks since he’d been mounted; since Xiller, actually, and the memory came back to him as he raised and lowered his hips, though the knot made the experience very different.

No less pleasurable, though, and the length of time it had been since his last visit manifested with a vengeance in the surge of blood that went through him as he felt the hard length inside him. He moved up and down, just savoring the feel of it, and noticed that he was already leaking some fluid from his tip. “I’ve missed this,” he murmured, starting to pant as he slid up and down, tail twitching.

“I can…tell.” Richy panted, and brought a paw up to brush the fluid from Volle’s tip. He licked his finger and grinned, then curled his paw around the fox’s erection, stroking back and forth as it dangled over his chest. Panting, Volle moved his hips faster, trying to squeeze the wolf’s knot with every stroke. From the rate it was growing, and the sensations that were building up in him, he thought this would be a very quick session.

Perhaps sensing that too, Richy tried to slow down once, but as his knot grew, every time it slid into Volle it was squeezed more, making him moan softly. After a few more of these strokes, his paw started moving faster. Volle moaned himself, his paws resting on the wolf’s chest as he levered himself up and down, and then he pressed back and met resistance. He pressed harder, and Richy pushed his hips up, and with a slick sound, his knot slid through Volle’s tail hole and locked him to the fox. Volle kept tugging with his hips, unable to stop himself as the flood of delightful sensations took over his muscles; Richy pumped harder along his erection, writhing and panting and finally howling softly as his body tensed under Volle, hips shivering back and forth.

Volle smiled, very close himself, and waited as Richy’s paw paused. It started again as soon as the wolf began to relax, smiling up into the fox’s muzzle. With the warm fullness inside him and the soft paw stroking him, it wasn’t long before Volle moaned loudly, shivering and clutching at Richy’s chest as he came. His seed spurted onto the wolf’s chest and paw with every convulsive spasm, and he dimly registered that the orgasm seemed to go on and on, until he thought he must have soaked the wolf’s fur all the way through.

The smell was certainly strong in the air, he noted, and then realized that it was because he was panting, head hanging down not four inches from the small pool of white fluid in Richy’s fur. He looked up into the wolf’s bright eyes, and licked his nose.

“Wow, the extra two days make a difference, don’t they?” Richy’s eyes sparkled teasingly.

“I guess so.” Volle smiled, tail wagging. He didn’t tell Richy that he hadn’t been pleasuring himself for the past few days either, not because he wanted to save up, but because he found himself occupied with Ilyana’s planning or related matters, and exhausted when he got to bed.

“You came pretty quickly. And lots.” He licked his dripping paw with a smile.

Volle wiggled his hips. “You came too.”

“You made sure of that. I shouldn’t have told you my weak spots.” The wolf grinned and brushed the back of his paw along Volle’s shaft gently. “Oh, I thought of something else for you, for if you don’t want to come. Just paw yourself off right before.”
