Chapter Two

‘Let’s get you out of this bloody suit.’

It was the following evening, the first time Maria had seen her husband since the end of Suzy’s show.

She’d gone back to the office after the performance, intending to catch up on some paperwork, and had stayed there until one in the morning. It had been a complete waste of effort and she’d achieved nothing at all.

Sitting there, staring into space, Maria wondered if she was barking up the wrong tree. For the first time in her career, she acknowledged that there might be more to life than business deals. She’d really enjoyed Suzy’s show but it had unsettled her.

She tried to get stuck in to work the following day and made slightly better progress, but Maria still felt that her world was out of kilter. The mountain of documents on her desk was growing daily, yet she had no enthusiasm or inclination to do anything about them.

Ken unbuttoned Maria’s boring black jacket and slid it off her shoulders. The calf-length skirt followed. Maria’s senses were on red alert. The only time he behaved like this was when he’d got something to hide. Being around Suzy was obviously acting as an aphrodisiac. That she could understand. Seconds later, Ken had shed his clothes and Maria, in her white cotton underwear, had been shoved up against the patio doors.

‘Is the gardener still around?’ Ken asked. ‘Only I fancy an audience.’

‘No, I think he’s gone … Ow!’

Having swiftly removed her bra, Ken flattened Maria’s exposed breasts against the glass before reaching for the waistband of her knickers. Despite being narked by his caveman approach, Maria was secretly thrilled. Seconds later, her husband’s rigid cock was nudging her slit, eager to make its entrance.

After ramming it inside her, Ken pushed her hard against the window. Maria’s cunt rode the smoothness of the glass as she bucked against it, the coolness making her gasp with long overdue pleasure. She opened her legs wider, forcing more of her sex against the double glazing. Ken grasped Maria’s waist and thrust into her harder, harder and deeper, until he finally collapsed against her, his orgasm over. He withdrew immediately, semen flowing down her legs.

‘I need to come,’ Maria panted. ‘You can’t just leave me like this.’

‘I want to watch you.’ Ken grinned. ‘Stand there and masturbate like Suzy did. You enjoyed watching her, didn’t you?’ he leered. ‘Although I can’t ever imagine you behaving like her – you’re far too stuck-up!’

Stuck-up? Maria was stung by the remark. But maybe she was. Right now, though, she had a desire that needed fulfilling. She thought of her young male employees at Elevate. What on earth would Guy and Jon make of seeing their power-hungry boss rendered powerless by lust? Was it something they ever thought about? Why was she wondering about what went on in their heads?

‘If you want to watch me, you’ll have to go outside,’ Maria told Ken. She didn’t see why she should do his bidding when he’d made no attempt to satisfy her.

Maria embraced the window, fondling her breasts as she did so. She closed her eyes and tried to mimic Suzy, tried to imagine wanking for an audience as she had. Maria’s fingers strayed over her clit, visions of the girl’s nude form filling her mind. Head back, she frigged hard, screaming as she came.

Chapter Three

‘So who is Suzy?’

It was much later, and Ken and Maria were finally in bed together. Sated from another rampant session, Ken was drowsy and docile, exactly as Maria wanted him.

‘Oh she’s just some slapper who has moved into the village,’ Ken yawned. She’s Rosie Smith’s granddaughter and has inherited her old home.’

Maria had heard rumours about the mysterious young woman who had moved into Sunflower Cottage, had heard how she’d arrived unannounced, something the village grapevine was struggling to come to terms with. People didn’t just descend on Haystocks out of the blue. There was nothing to do, nothing of interest there, and the village wasn’t even picturesque.

Ken and Maria had moved there because the property was cheap. The mini-mansion they lived in had cost only a fraction of similar houses elsewhere.

Maria thought it over. On this occasion the village grapevine had a point. It was very odd that such a young and sexy girl should bury herself in Haystocks. There had to be more. There had to be something Ken wasn’t telling her.

‘Why is she living here?’ Maria asked. ‘I mean, there’s bugger all to do and I heard she quit a good job …’

‘Yes, that’s right, that’s why I wanted to help her out.’

‘But why did she leave her job?’ Maria persisted. In her world, you didn’t quit a good job for no reason. You only quit a good job for a better one. And why did Ken want to help the girl? Work was an alien concept to him. She couldn’t remember the last time he’d done anything for monetary gain. He’d been living off her for the past five years and liked it that way. It gave him time to keep up to date with the latest cars, to visit car museums and watch motor racing.

Ken ignored the question, fuelling Maria’s suspicion’s further. He yawned theatrically and looked away.

‘I thought she could do some waitressing at these boring dinner parties you’re forever dragging me to. You know how dull they can be.’

Maria considered his words as she wrestled with the duvet. Much as she hated to admit it, Ken’s idea was sound.

A lovely half-dressed female wafting around at their business engagements might well sweeten the opposition and stop them objecting to her plans. There was always some protest over her ideas for modernising the village. When it came to buying old properties, Maria’s hard bargaining and organisational skills were second to none. She had a natural flair and imagination for developing eyesore sights, but not everybody saw things her way.

Networking and socialising played a big part in her success, and anything that might work in her favour needed careful consideration before it was rejected out of hand. The fact that Ken had come up with a plan was a bit worrying, but maybe it was time he was given the chance to do something useful; maybe she’d allowed him to cruise along in her shadow for too long. Perhaps he was finally getting fed up with cars.

‘I thought I might put out a few feelers, get her a few bookings locally, and then – well, who knows? Maybe I can take on more girls, spread the word further afield.’

‘I think it’s a great idea,’ Maria said. ‘But what Suzy did at the community hall, fantastic as it was, could hardly be called waitressing by any stretch of the imagination.’

‘Well, no, but I didn’t ask her to do that. It was her choice. I must admit I was surprised by her actions at the Smith-Harrisons’ party and I dreaded to think what the outcome might be. But it seemed to be well received and if she’s up for more shows … Well, why not?’

Maria knew there was more. What, though? Past experience had taught her not to push it. When Ken clammed up, he became stubborn and difficult and she didn’t want to lose the connection to Suzy. Somehow, she felt the girl was going to play a big role in her future.

‘I’ll go to the bank in the morning, open an account and transfer some funds into it. You’ll need money to get you started,’ Maria said plucking her husband’s chest hair suggestively. ‘You’re lucky – I’ve got cash so you won’t need a bank loan.’

‘What will I need money for?’ he asked.

Maria laughed. She’d forgotten how naïve he was.

‘Suzy’s wages, overheads … It’s best to have some cash behind you. Clients don’t always pay on time. I’m glad you’re starting a business,’ she added. ‘What are you going to call this venture of yours?’

She grasped his erection, toyed with the foreskin.

‘Watchers,’ he said.

‘Watchers,’ she repeated. ‘Of course, everybody will be watching Suzy. Yes, it’s a good name.’

She took Ken’s cock in into her mouth, sucking and licking until he was gasping with pleasure. Her mind wasn’t on the job, though. If Ken wouldn’t tell her the full story then she’d have to get it from Suzy.

*               *               *

The next morning, ignoring work again, she banged on the door of Sunflower Cottage.

Suzy answered. Dressed in ancient jeans and an even older sweater, she looked nothing like the drop dead gorgeous stripper who’d performed in the hall but she still made Maria feel about 120. This was because of the dark burgundy suit she was wearing. It featured a skirt so long that it almost scraped the ground, making Maria both feel and look like the proverbial maiden aunt.

‘Oh hi,’ Suzy said as recognition dawned. ‘This is a surprise.’

Maria had expected the girl to be embarrassed. But Suzy didn’t seem perturbed.

‘I didn’t get a chance to introduce myself yesterday. My name is Maria. I’m Ken’s wife.’

‘Ken’s wife?’ A flicker of doubt crossed Suzy’s face. ‘Oh Christ. Well, I guess you’d better come in then.’

The interior of the cottage was badly in need of renovation, a job that Elevate might have jumped on in different circumstances. But, for once, Maria wasn’t assessing the worth of her surroundings – she was more interested in discovering the truth about Suzy.

‘Can I get you anything?’ Suzy asked.

‘Coffee would be nice.’

Maria eyed the girl as she faffed with the kettle and cups. She didn’t seem at all fazed by Maria’s presence. Surely if she’d been having an affair with Ken, the stress of being confronted by his wife would be in evidence.

‘Thanks for helping out with my act last night! It wasn’t planned. I just saw you sitting there among all the guys and instinct took over.’ She grinned as the kettle screeched to a boil and she made the drinks. ‘Act – hark at me! I sound like a right old seasoned pro.’

‘Aren’t you?’ Maria accepted a mug and eyed Suzy over the steam. She was an excellent judge of character and had instantly picked up a vibe that confirmed Suzy was hiding something. Her ability to sniff out the truth was why she stood head and shoulders above others in her profession.

‘No, I’m not. Although I can see why you might think otherwise, but I’d never even done any stripping up until a few nights ago.’

‘So what happened? What made you start then?’

Suzy sipped her drink and shrugged.

‘Money,’ she said. ‘I’m in dire straits and the offer of some quick cash was too good to pass up. I hadn’t meant for things to go as far as they did but I don’t have any regrets.’

Maria studied the girl. She recalled the gossip about Suzy quitting her job to move to Haystocks. She might have been broke when she arrived but she must have money now. The hall had been packed last night: there must have been about 200 people watching Suzy, and if they’d all paid £15 to get in, then Ken had been quids in.

True, he’d had to pay for the hire of the hall and the services of the bouncer, but surely Suzy should have taken a fair cut of the profits. To Maria’s logical business brain, something was still amiss.

‘So why did things go that far?’ Maria asked steering the conversation back on track. ‘I thought Ken had offered you work as a waitress.’

‘He did. And I was grateful for it. I’d never waitressed before so I was a bit a bit anxious as to whether I’d cope, but I was also looking forward to it. Ken reckoned it’d be a piece of cake. He said all I’d have to do was hand round trays of champagne at a private party which was being held in one of the big houses on the other side of the village. I’d arranged to meet him there.’

‘So did he turn up?’ Maria felt odd talking about her husband in this way, but she knew Ken would never give her the answers she craved. There’d always been something secretive about Ken, a side she’d never been able to unlock. She blamed herself. Elevate kept her away from home for far longer than was good for any relationship, let alone one with a man who was on his own for most of the day.

‘Yes, he’d arrived ahead of me,’ Suzy said. ‘Mind you, I was late because I’d spent ages raiding my wardrobe for something to wear.’

‘I did the same yesterday,’ Maria admitted. ‘I hadn’t a clue what to wear to your show. I’ve only got suits.’

Suzy laughed. ‘Well, in my hurry to leave the hotel, I hadn’t bought much with me …’ She trailed off, bit her lip. It was as if she’d said too much. ‘So I chose a black suit with a short-sleeved white blouse, black tights, and flat black pumps … I felt like I was going to a funeral but it seemed ideal for waitressing. I thought Ken would approve.’

‘And did he?’

‘No, he took one look at my outfit and thrust a carrier bag at me. We went into the house and he showed me to a room where I could get changed.’

‘Changed? What was in the bag?’

‘A red silk thong, a half cup bra, red stiletto-heeled shoes. and a tiny frilly white apron,’ Suzy said.

‘How did you feel about wearing them?’ Ken had never bought her anything like the lingerie Suzy was describing. It was as if they were discussing a different man. And although Maria hated to admit it, she was finding Ken’s secret life to be quite a turn-on.

‘I had mixed feelings,’ Suzy admitted, draining her coffee. ‘Half of me was horrified by it, but the idea of strutting about half-naked also excited the hell out of me. Not that I got to do much strutting,’ she added. ‘Not on that first outing, anyway.’

‘How did Ken know your size?’ Maria asked.

Suzy shrugged.

‘I … I’m not sure,’ she said, not quite meeting Maria’s eye. ‘Anyway, he’d been waiting outside while I changed. When he saw me he reckoned I looked fantastic. Then he said we’d better get a move on before everyone died of thirst. Speaking of which, do you want another coffee?’

As it looked like being a long morning, Maria took up the offer. While Suzy was in the kitchen making it, she checked her messages. She texted Jon, instructed him to cancel all her meetings until after lunch and to hold the fort until she returned.
Something big has come
up,
she told him. And she was sure it had, although she still wasn’t sure what it was.

Her business instincts were rarely wrong and she was sure her husband was on to a winner with Suzy. But he was useless with commercial enterprises. He’d need her knowledge and management skills if Watchers was going to succeed.

‘There you go.’ Suzy handed over a fresh mug of coffee.

‘So what happened when you went downstairs dressed in your satin finery?’ Maria asked, slipping her mobile back into her bag.

‘Ken showed me into a sitting room. The champagne had already been poured into the glasses. The filled flutes were sitting on silver trays. He told me to hand them round. So I picked up the first tray and offered the drinks. There were no women in the room, just 30 or so blokes. I was aware of the admiring glances to my body – there was, after all, quite a lot of it exposed. The bra left little to the imagination, and from the back, the thong left me almost naked. The attention was a huge turn-on. In fact, I can’t remember ever being so excited.’

‘Yes, I’m sure it made you really horny.’ Maria recalled how Suzy had looked the previous evening, remembered how she’d felt the same. ‘You’ve got a fantastic body. I can see why Ken chose you for whatever it is he’s got in mind.’

‘After I’d done a couple of circuits of the room,’ she continued, ‘Ken made me stand near a radiator. It was off,’ she added, seeing Maria’s look of alarm. ‘He produced a long silver chain, wound it round my right ankle, and secured me to the pipe on the heater. And I just had to stand there for the rest of the evening while the guys leered at me. Some of them touched me too.’

Maria felt her pulse racing. Ken had tied this woman up …

‘Did you mind?’

‘No, not really, although I suppose I should have done. I got really aroused. I mean, I was standing there scantily dressed, with all those blokes leering at me … It was bound to have an effect.’

Maria gulped down some coffee. Just listening to Suzy’s story had made her wet, so she could understand how the blokes at the party had reacted. She pulled her jacket over her breasts to hide her prominent nipples.

‘So is that why you started stripping?’ she asked. ‘Because you couldn’t control yourself?’

‘Yes. I’d done a few of these so-called waitressing gigs for Ken, and then came the Smith-Harrisons’ party. Before Ken had a chance to chain me up, his mobile rang and he went out of the room to answer it. One of the male guests sidled up and offered me a hundred quid for “a bit extra”, as he put it. He suggested I took off my bra and danced topless.’

‘And you agreed?’

‘I liked the idea of exposing my breasts to a room full of men. I’d gone topless plenty of times on holidays so I couldn’t see any difference. And a hundred quid was a lot more than I was going to be getting out of Ken.’

Maria frowned.

‘How much was Ken paying you, then?’

Suzy ignored the question. She bit her lip again.

‘I agreed to do it and the bloke went off to sort out some rock music. I dumped the tray on the sideboard and tried to prepare myself mentally. Despite what I just said, there’s a lot of difference between taking your bikini top off on holiday and deliberately exposing yourself to a room full of blokes. I hadn’t done that before.

‘I positioned myself close to the fireplace. The bloke clapped his hands for attention. “Our delightful waitress Suzy has agreed to put on a bit of a show for us,” he said. “When you’re ready, love …”

‘I nodded, and the music started. At first I had no idea of what to do. I just stood there dithering. But once I got going, it was pretty much the same as you saw last night. Once I’d removed my bra, my fingers slid into the sides of the thong as if they had a mind of their own. The next thing I knew I was stepping out of them – I was naked in front of a room full of strangers. Wow, you can’t begin to imagine what a turn-on that is! Actually, it was more than a turn-on – I was fully aroused and all I could think about was climaxing. So I just stood there, rooted to the spot, with my legs apart, and fingered my clit. The audience loved it, Ken too, which was just as well because I was out of control by then. And when I reached orgasm it was absolutely bloody awesome. I tried to share it with blokes …’
