Walki
ng out of the bathroom, I felt
someone grab me. At
first,
I thought it was Sam, but after turning and
looking,
I realize
d it wasn’t Sam or anyone
else
that I knew. I tried
to shake
my hand loose, but the guy grabbed it
harder, yanking
me
into him. “Wanna
dance?
” He
asked
,
while licking the side of my face.

With my right
hand,
I
started
pushing the man’s
chest,
telling him to let
go of me
. He obviously thought that was
funny,
because now he was
pulling my body into his, laughing,
and
running
his hand
down my ass.
Without even
thinking,
I brought
my knee up and knee
d
him in his groin. He immediately
let
go
of me
, but
he quickly
responded
by grabbing
at
me again. I
hastily
turn
ed and ran into someone who felt
like a wall.

I look up and saw
Alex, with
his face twisted with rage. He leaned over and told
me to wait right there. Alex walked up to the
guy, said something,
and pushed him into the wall. Alex grabbed the guy by his throa
t and immediately
started
talking
quietly
to him. Th
e man looked over at me and shook
his head. Alex then released his grip around the man’s
neck, but
kept
his hand on his
chest,
holding him to the wall. Then Alex
came
back
to
my
side,
gently took
my hand
,
and
led
me back into the main club area.

Alex turned me to face
him,
bringing both his hands to the side of my face. “Are you
okay
? I’m so
sorry.
I tried getting through the crowd to get to you sooner, but I couldn’t get there fast enough.”

Still slightly shaken by the whole thing, I manage
d
to crack a smile and
respond,
“I’m fine. Nothing I couldn’t handle.” Knowing if the man had gotten hold of me
again,
it wouldn’t have been
okay
. I royally pissed the guy off and he had hate in his eyes when I looked back at him.
I was
trying
not
to sound like
I was
about to fall to pieces. I quickly
said
to Alex,
“Come on, I could use another drink.”

Alex
took
my hand and led
me back up
to
the VIP lounge
. Once we
were
up
there,
he brought
me to
the couch and we sat. Alex then poured
us another sho
t of tequila. This
time,
he licked
t
he inside of my wrist and applied the salt. Alex stared
into my eyes, licked
the salt from my wrist a
nd took his
shot,
skipping
the
lemon this time. I quickly took mine straight again
,
not breaking his
gaze.  I could
fee
l my breathing hitch and saw
his chest
rising more rapidly too. At that
moment,
I was glad I was
not the
only one affected b
y the looks being cast
between us.

Alex
took
my hand again and led
me down the stairs to the dance floor.
Not letting go of my
hand,
he led
m
e out to the middle of the floor. He brought my
right arm up over his shoulder
, placing his leg between mine,
and leaning
his head down to my forehead
. We start
ed
moving with each other
. Our hips were moving together
as if
we were
connected
. With
his
eyes staring into mine, it felt like we were
the only ones on the dance
floor. Worried what my body might
start doing i
f he continued
to look at
me while dancing like
this;
I
quickly
turn
ed
my back into his front and start
ed moving with him again. I could
feel Alex’s hand move my ponytail to the side and
he put
his lips on my neck. I immediately close
d
my eyes and tilt
ed my head so my neck wa
s more
accessible to him. While he was doing this, my hands were
sliding up and down the outside of his thighs
,
and at
times,
moving towards the back
of
his
thighs
, pulling him closer into me.

I was
not sure how long we danced like that, but at some
point,
I sensed someone standing
in front of us. Looking
up,
I saw
Sam with a smile on her face and I immedia
tely stopped dancing. Sam
whispered in my ear to
ask me to hit the bathroom with her. I leaned in to tell Alex
where we were going and he told
us to use the one in the VIP are
a
because it
was safer.
Just
when I start
ed to follow Sam, Alex
caught
my
wrist,
pul
ling my face into his. He
softly
s
aid
, “I told you
that
dancing was the best foreplay.” Feeling my face go flush, I turned and followed Sam up the steps.

I decided
I had better
go
again,
because who knew
when I’d get the chance to make it back into the bathroom. When I exited the
stall,
S
am was grinning at me. “
What?

I manage
d
to
ask
.

“Nothing, other than
the two of you
basically having sex on the dance floor.” I hear
d
the giggle in her voice.

I could
feel my face grow hot and red, “
No,
we
weren’t;
it’s called dancing.”

Yeah,
dancing
,
except you two were glued
together.
I don’t think air molecules could have fit between you two.”

“Shu
t up,
we
weren’t that close.”
I didn’t
even look
at
Sam,
because I was
too embarrassed.

“Hey, I felt like I w
as
watching porn, seriously hot, if
Alex wasn’t my brother.
”  I look
ed up at Sam when she said
that,
my eyes huge from shock of what she just said. “Don’t be embarrassed. I think
it’s
great. Alex hasn’t found anyone he likes or
that
keeps his
interest,
god, possibly
ever.
” Sam took a deep breath in and continued
to talk. “
I’m sure he hasn’t said anything to you, but his ex-wife b
urned him
bad,
and he hasn’t
cared
about
anyone
since. He really isn’t that rock star everyone thinks he is.”

“Well,
we’re
just
friends. Nothing
happened with us and no
thing is going to
happen,
” I said
,
trying to s
ound firm, but knowing it sounded
more like a question.

“I’m sure it won’t, but if it
does, just
know
that
my brother is a nice guy.
Christ,
he pissed the whole band off by staying another night instead of hitting a PR party in Chicago.
” Sam let
out a quiet sigh, “I shouldn’t say anything, but
I know
he
has started having
feelings for you
. If you don’t feel anything for
him,
then please don’t lead him on. This is the first time he
has actually showed interest or
cared
about someone
in a really long time.”

Not realizing
it,
a tear
escaped
my eye. Sam looked
at me and
smiled
, “I didn’t mean to upset you, but I care about him and I think you do too.
Abby, I really like you; I can tell you see him for Alex and not the singer for
Awakening
. You should s
ee for yourself what a nice guy
he can be.” With
that,
she grabbed my hand and led
me out into t
he lounge area. Derek and Alex were there waiting for us. Alex had
a questioning look on his face, probably seeing the rednes
s in my eyes. He immediately shot
Sa
m a
look,
which she quickly turned away
from.

Smiling at them
both,
I
grabbed
the bottle and
poured
the three of us a shot. Sam
had
already
headed
towards the dance f
loor. After the
shot,
Derek
grasped
my
arm, leaned in,
and told
me
that it was
his turn for a dance. We
made
our way to the dance floor and I look
ed
over my shoulder at Alex
. He
was
staring at me
as
I walk
ed
away.

Derek and I dance
d
together like friends at a wedding. There
was
no h
eated touching and there was space left between us
. At
times,
while
dancing,
Derek grabbed, dipped and spun me. We were laughing
hard when we return
ed
to the VI
P area. We grab
bed
another shot and by this
time,
Sam was back, but
she
quickly grabbed
Derek for a dance. Still laughing to
myself,
I watched
Sam and Derek h
ead down the stairs. Alex slid
into the spot next to
me,
placing his arm behind me on the couch and leaning into my ear. “One more dance?”

Looking ba
ck at
him,
knowing one dance would
never be
enough, but if that’s all I could
get,
I was
taking it. I quickly
responded
, “
Absolutely
, but a
nother
shot first.”
