Everyone had a place on their body that, when stimulated, caused immediate sexual arousal. Apparently she had found his. She licked him again and he quivered, then inhaled quickly, breathlessly.

She kissed him, then suckled him, then felt his body lurch and shudder. She knew his legs weakened because she felt his weight adjust accordingly. She smiled with power as she unbuckled his belt and dipped her hand beneath to touch him there. Suddenly a strong hand clasped her wrist, halting her progress. “Adia,” he groaned heavily, breathlessly, “we don’t have to do this. We can still walk away if you want.”

She smiled and shook her head. This newfound power felt too good to just walk away from. There was no way she was going anywhere. She touched, then rubbed down the length of him, full, hard and long. He groaned his pleasure as his mouth came down to hers in a blazing instant.

In a feverish reply, a tangle of hands touched, caressed and stroked, teasing and tempting the pleasure they both sought. Dizzy with longing, they were drunk with anticipation.

Through their sexual haze, they let the power of their desire overtake them until there was only one place to go. He pulled back and took her hand, then led her from the kitchen, down the hall, up the stairs and to his bedroom. They crossed the room and he sat her down on the side of the bed. Then he knelt down in front of her.

He removed her bra, then leaned in. Her breasts perked eagerly to him and he devoured each in turn. He tasted and teased her fullness while his tongue leisurely languished on her pebbled nipples. She arched back, offering more, and he gladly accepted as he wrapped his arms around her body, securing his treasure.

She placed her hands on the sides of his shoulders. His powerful hands held her tight and added to the sensual rhythmic pull of his mouth on her. His tongue thrust hard, then soft, tantalizing each peak. She sighed and moaned breathlessly, raking her teeth over her bottom lip as the fiery burn inside her blazed.

His fervor was unending and her rapture was soaring.

“Lie back,” he whispered breathlessly. She did. His hands circled lovingly over her breasts, then eased down her stomach to the waistband of her pants. He slowly unzipped them, then loosened and pulled them free. Now lying there with just lace panties, she closed her eyes, expecting and hoping for everything. She intended to savor every last second of this moment.

She felt the bed move as he got up, and then she heard the sound of a drawer open and close. She opened her eyes, seeing him toss several condoms on the bed beside her. She smiled and leaned up on the palms of her hands. He came back over to her and gently stroked her face. “My Sundari Adia, you are so beautiful.”

“I think you like that name.”

“I do. It suits you perfectly, my beautiful gift from God.”

She lowered her eyes, then looked away.

“What is it?”

“You don’t have to say that,” she said.

“Why not? You are—”

“Ten pounds overweight,” she interrupted, continuing his sentence.

“In all the right places,” he added, licking his lips, then looking down at her body relaxed on his bed.

“My ears are too big.”

He leaned in, moved her hair to the side and kissed each earlobe. “The better to taste you, my dear,” he whispered.

“My eyes are—” she started.

“Luminous,” he said before she could finish.

“And I have ten freckles.”

“Fourteen actually,” he said, correcting her.

“Fourteen? Are you sure?”

He nodded. “Oh, yes, Adia, definitely fourteen.”

She reached up to touched her face, but he took her hand and pulled her up against his body. “Not on your face, here,” he said, tracing his finger down the front of her, then circling each breast. “Five here and nine here.”

“You take my breath away,” she said.

“Fair enough,” he said, then grabbed and kissed her, holding her neck firmly with one hand while securing her to him with the other. Aggressive and powerful, he devoured her mouth.

Then, in a tangle of wanting, she tugged at his zipper, then at his briefs. Freeing him finally, she felt the hard shaft of his excitement throbbing fiercely and sighed. She stroked the length of him as his kisses intensified even more. He moaned his delight, then edged her lace barrier free. She held him and he felt her.

Then in a burst of unrestrained passion, he shifted up as she lay back on the bed. He grabbed a condom and while covering himself, she pushed up and guided him beside her. Reversing their positions, she straddled to hover above him and smiled at her pending victory. She looked down at him, expecting to see his wanton desire, but instead she saw concern. She knew he was asking her if she was sure.

As she grasped him, her answer was simple. She impaled herself in one quick steady movement. The sudden intense burn of her long-overdue passion stunned her as she held her breath, then closed her eyes until the sting of her tightness subsided. He went deep inside her and she felt every inch of him. Slightly dazed, she sat back motionless, relishing and enjoying the feel of him.

“Adia, are you okay?” he asked, sitting up quickly, obviously concerned.

She opened her eyes and smiled. “Oh, yes, I’m most definitely okay,” she said as her fingers bit into his shoulders to hold on as she began grinding into him with her hips.

He smiled.

She smiled.

The rapture began.

He held on to her back while guiding her waist as she released, then plunged down, sinking him into her body and loving the feel of his fullness. She gasped as she sat up and leaned back and his mouth captured her breast. In eager ecstasy they moved to the rhythm of their hearts, quickening the pace and feeling the surging power building in them.

She shrieked and gasped as her rapturous climax neared and the swell of her breasts filled his mouth. He held tight, absorbing the stark pounding she delivered each time she slammed down onto him. Inching closer and closer, she thrust onto him until the overpowering release exploded and she screamed her orgasm and felt him pouring into her.

Then in a split second, Randolph turned her on her back and pushed deeper inside. She wrapped her legs tight around his waist as her nails bit into his arms. A second orgasm crept up and blinded her. She screamed her pleasure again, panting feverously beneath him. He released, then sank deep again. She called out his name, then climaxed so full she swore her heart stopped beating. Afterward he rolled over again, resting beneath her.

Shaking almost violently by the succession of climaxes, she held on to him. Their bodies damp, he lay there holding her tight as she sprawled on top. Her body lay limp, drained. She closed her eyes and waited for her world to stop spinning.

She was no virgin, but she had never been so completely satisfied in her life. When she finally regained her composure, she tried to move away, but he held firm. “No, don’t go. Stay,” he whispered huskily.

“I don’t think I could go even if I wanted to. That was…I don’t know, that was…” she began.

He reached up and stroked her back lovingly. “Umm, yes, that most definitely was,” he muttered slowly. “I’ve never felt…”

“Me, either,” she said. “It’s like my whole body was…”

“Exploding, yeah, me, too, over and over again,” he added. “I can’t…”

“Believe it, I know, neither can I. How do you think we…” she said.

“I don’t know.” He smiled and kissed her forehead, then her cheek, then the tip of her nose until finally their lips met in a slow, long, leisurely, passionate kiss.

“So, if we ever…” she muttered.

“Give me ten more minutes…”

She did.

They did, again and again.

Chapter 10

N
ina had been checking her watch every two minutes. It was almost eight o’clock and Alyssa still wasn’t in yet. For anyone else it was fine, since work didn’t actually begin until eight o’clock, but for Alyssa it was totally uncharacteristic. She was never on time or late for anything. She was always twenty to thirty minutes early.

A twinge of guilt struck her. What if she was wrong and Alyssa and Senator Kingsley didn’t hit it off as she suspected they would? She grabbed her

coffee mug and walked over to the coffee station and poured herself a cup.

Adding sugar and cream, she stood stirring pensively a moment, then looked up when she heard the office door open and close. “Finally,” she muttered, then hurried over as soon as she saw Alyssa walk in and sit down at her desk. She stood waiting impatiently as Alyssa reached down and dropped her purse into the bottom drawer, then adjusted her keyboard on the desk. “Well?” Nina asked curiously.

“Don’t even think about speaking to me after that stunt you pulled yesterday. You are in so much trouble.”

Nina smiled brighter and comfortably parked her hip on the side of Alyssa’s desk. “But did it work?” she asked.

“Did it work? Is that all you have to say?”

“Oh, please, don’t give me all that I’m-so-wounded, I’m-so-stricken crap. Did you get together or not?” she half whispered, leaning in closer. Then she saw Alyssa blush. “Oh, did you and he…”

Alyssa opened her mouth wide in exaggerated shock. “I’m not even going to dignify that with an answer.”

“Damn, you didn’t,” she said, leaning back again.

Alyssa blushed again and looked away, trying to busy herself by turning on her computer and scanning the daily calendar she always kept on standby.

“You did,” Nina squealed, “you did.”

“Would you stop saying that? It’s not what you think,” she said, and lowered her voice even more.

“Well, something happened, it’s all over your face.”

Ursula walked by and smiled. “Good weekend, ladies?”

“Yes, thanks, and yours?” Alyssa said nicely.

“Oh, I worked as usual, then did a bit of gardening. I have some beautiful tomatoes and nice big strawberries coming up already. I’ll bring some in for you.”

“Sounds great,” Nina said, not really caring, since all she wanted to hear was Alyssa’s account of Sunday afternoon.

Alyssa blushed. The thought of strawberries and the memory of tasting them on Randolph’s body made her stomach lurch like a mile-high roller-coaster drop. Their fruity foreplay at his kitchen sink was only the beginning. Later they had dipped strawberries in melted chocolate and whipped cream and even honey. Then a quick flash of Randolph’s chest drizzled with honey and chocolate and her twirling a strawberry on it stoked the fire inside her to burn even hotter. She picked up a folder and began fanning herself.

“See,” Ursula said, nodding her head, “I told you it’s always hot in here, but nobody listens to me. I’ll go turn up the air conditioner on my way out. Talk to you later.”

“Uh-huh, now look what you did. We’ll be freezing all morning thanks to you. Okay, tell me everything,” Nina said as her eyes widened with anticipated interest.

“Alyssa, line four,” someone called out.

“Thanks,” she said, and picked up the phone on her desk as she smiled at Nina. Nina glared at her, having gotten no information.

“Good morning, this is Alyssa Wingate.”

“Good morning, Adia,” he said softly.

“Hi,” she said cautiously, then quickly glanced around the office, seeing that Nina had already gone back to her desk and started working and everyone else in the office was busy with their own duties.

“Hi,” he said, “I just wanted to hear your voice.”

“Oh, isn’t that nice?”

“I miss you,” he whispered.

“Oh, isn’t that nice?” she repeated, feeling the sweet sexy softness of his voice caress her body.

“I bet you’re blushing,” he whispered softly.

“You’d win that bet.”

“I gather you can’t exactly talk right now.”

“Umm, yeah. That would be correct.”

“Okay, I want to see you tonight.” She didn’t respond, so he clarified, “A date, dinner, a movie, dancing, bowling, roller skating, whatever you’d like.”

Another flash shot through her body as very vivid memories of the day before surfaced. Whatever she’d like was too tempting an offer. But she needed to be realistic. “Umm, I’m not sure that’s such a good idea.”

“Don’t tell me that you were just using me for my body.”

This man was killing her. She picked up the folder again and started fanning, half expecting to spontaneously combust at any moment. “Umm, why don’t we discuss this later? Where are you exactly?”

“In my car on my private cell phone on the way to work. I had a meeting out of the office earlier.”

“Really? How’d it go?”

“Good, very productive. So how about dinner tonight?” he asked again.

“I can’t. I already have plans.”

“Should I be jealous?”

“No.”

“Good, then how about meeting me after your plans? We can have dessert and tea someplace.”

“Umm, that might not be such a good idea.”

“Are you trying to let me down easy?”

“Um…”

“Don’t answer. I’m not sure I want to know,” he joked.

Alyssa didn’t respond again. Then out of the corner of her eye she saw her boss approach. He waved and pointed to his office. She nodded. “Umm, I have to get back to work now.”

“Okay, I’ll call you later tonight,” he said.

“’Bye.”

Randolph pushed the end-call button on his steering wheel and disconnected the call. He pulled to a stop at the traffic light, then just stared across the street at nothing in particular. The phone call troubled him. Alyssa was detached and distant. He understood that she couldn’t exactly talk comfortably at the office, but all he wanted was a firm commitment for dinner that night, and she seemed somewhat withdrawn.

The light changed. He made a mental note to call her again around noon. Hopefully she’d be at lunch and more available to talk.

He turned into a small private entrance, then followed the path down several levels until he came to his parking space. He turned off the engine, got out and headed to the elevator. As soon as he got there, the doors eased open. The elevator operator stood smiling.

“Good morning, sir,” he said happily.
