All she could do was nod, while another tear fell.

He pulled out and sucked on his fingers a few times. Then he quickly buried them deep into her. “Fuck, you’re so tight.” He pulled and pushed while she lay there, unmoving. When he was sure she was finally wet enough, he replaced his fingers with his cock again. Sighing with relief, he thrust in a few inches. “Damn, I needed this.” He held her close and kissed her neck while pumping slowly, giving her more with each stroke.

She clung to his shirt, unsure, but then she saw an image of Brandon slamming his dick into a groupie while she slept next to them. “Fucking cheater.”

Scott stopped and looked down. “Cheater? What’d you mean by that?”

“Uh.” She hadn’t meant to say it out loud. “He cheated on me, so it’s only right.”

His mouth dropped. “You think Brandon cheated on you?” He pulled out and quickly redressed himself. “Where’d you get an idea like that?” He helped her get her pants up.

“From you!” She slowly sat up and growled, “You said he found a way, and he just needed to get off. Did he do her right next to the bunks or take her to the back room?”

He covered his mouth and realized he didn’t explain it right. “No. No. No. I meant he jacked off. He didn’t touch anyone else while you were sick, no one I swear. He stayed with you until show time and raced back to you right after.” He stood up, feeling like such an ass for fucking her again.
She only wanted me to get back at him!
“Please. You gotta believe me. He’s been faithful.”

Mackenzie burst out crying, guilt consuming her. “How… could… I…”

He got to his knees on the floor and held her. “I’m sorry I said it so vaguely. I didn’t mean to put that idea in your head. Forget what just happened. It was a mistake.”

“Scott?”

He turned to the voice behind him. Ashley was standing on the porch, smiling.

“You guys are here!” She jumped up and down. “Where’s Chico?”

Scott ran a hand through Mackenzie’s hair. “You OK?”

Inhaling brokenly, she nodded, not wanting Ashley to know what had happened between them.

“I didn’t know you had a girlfriend.” Ashley was more than surprised by the tender way he treated her. She watched him drop a kiss on her nose. “I thought you and Austin had a thing.”

He stood up and took Mackenzie’s hands in his. “This is Brandon’s girlfriend. I’m taking care of her. Everyone else is asleep.”

“Mackenzie, nice to finally meet you.” Ashley was next to them in seconds. She had heard a few stories. She also knew Brandon was crazy about her. “Chico told me what happened to you. He feels so bad. He blames himself for Jake being in the pool.” She touched Mackenzie’s face. She looked a bit frail.

Scott held his tongue. He blamed Chico and Jake for it, but also himself still. “She’s been doing good today, so far.”

“Come inside and get out of this chilly air.” Ashley could see goose bumps on Mackenzie’s arms. “The last thing she needs is a relapse.”

Scott pulled her up and put an arm around her back. She acted as if nothing happened, but it had. He had to be the one to tell Brandon. That way he understood it was a huge misunderstanding.

Mackenzie struggled to get up the few steps to the house. She grabbed the door frame and tried to pull herself up, but it was no use. She looked back to Scott with pleading eyes. He lifted her up and carried her, following Ashley into the kitchen.

“Julian’s still sleeping.” Ashley opened the refrigerator and took out the case of eggs she purchased. She smiled at Scott who was just putting Mackenzie down. “He’ll wake up when he smells food though.” She pulled out several pounds of bacon, as well as milk and cheese. “I hope I got enough.”

Scott scanned the counter. “Looks like it. Do you have anything to drink? Mackenzie has to keep hydrated.”

Ashley laughed. “Wow, does Brandon know you’re moving in on his territory?”

His mouth dropping, Scott didn’t know what to say.
Did she see us?
He turned away, hoping to hide the guilt written all over his face.

“I’m kidding, Scott.” Ashley knew she said something wrong. “I meant that you’re playing her caregiver. I’m sure Brandon has been doing it well. He’s such a sweet guy.”

Scott relaxed. “Yeah, I just…”

“Brandon doesn’t know she’s not in his bed, does he?” Ashley glared at him. “Is she supposed to be resting?”

Mackenzie leaned back on Scott, for support. “I slept most of yesterday away, but I had enough rest. He’ll understand, but no, he doesn’t know I got off the bus.”

With a sigh, Ashley started to lay bacon on a large cookie sheet that had been prepared the night before. She did as much as she could then so things went smoother that morning. “I could use some help if you’re up to it.” She smiled, wanting to get to know Mackenzie.

The front door was wide open, giving the crew the invitation to come in. While the three of them worked, they came in a few at a time, making themselves useful or comfortable. Then after a while, Austin found his way over. He was sent to the garage to grab bagels and spreads from the extra refrigerator.

“Honey, I’m home!” Chico shouted when he entered the house.

Mackenzie turned and saw his eyes light up as they met Ashley’s. Jake was standing behind him, not looking happy he was out of bed already.

Ashley dropped the oven mitt she wore and ran to Chico, jumping into his arms. “I missed you.” She kissed his lips, cheeks, nose and forehead then his lips again. “We’re spending the weekend together, right?”

“And then some.” He grinned. “I got almost a week here.” They saw each other several times a year while they were on tour then once or twice while he wasn’t. After four years, they were very close. He made the most time for her. It was as close to love as he ever experienced. “I gotta get you upstairs.” He ground his hips into hers, letting her feel how hard he was, just for her.

She sighed then pushed him back. “Not here.” She was adamant about fooling around in private. “Noelle’s gonna be there, right?

“She said she is.” Chico smiled.

Soft footsteps were heard in the hallway that led upstairs. “What are you cooking, mom?” Julian rubbed the sleep from his eyes when he saw the house full of men. “Mom? Where are you?” Then he found her. “Chico!” He ran to him and hugged him as well.

Chico smiled and put Ashley down. “Hey, my little man, I missed you too.” He lifted him up and tossed him a little then put him down. “You’re getting too big for this... ugh, my aching back.” He winked. “I’m sorry I missed your birthday, but I got something on the bus for you. Maybe Uncle Jake will help you find it.” He looked up at Jake. “This way me and Mommy, can, uh, talk?”

“Sure.” Jake put his hand on Julian’s shoulder and let him outside.

Mackenzie smiled. She had no idea Chico was such a huge part of their lives.

“Help!” Scott yelled, just as the oven door started to close on his arm.

Austin grabbed it fast. “I’ll take over Ashley’s part. He glanced at Chico carrying her up the stairs. “They’re gonna be busy for a while.”

Chapter Twenty Six

Just after Jake and Julian stepped off the bus, Brandon woke up and tried to pull Mackenzie against his chest, but she wasn’t there. He felt all around the bunk. It was empty. He moved the curtain and checked the floor. She didn’t fall. Then he realized the bus was eerily quiet and still.

“Kenzie… Mackenzie…” He listened for a whimper, but got nothing in return. “Tink!” He shouted and jumped from his bunk.

He searched the entire bus and found no one. Grabbing the counter next to the sink, he tried not to panic.
Where the fuck is everybody?
Then a thought popped into his head.
I’m just dreaming
. He took a deep breath and went back to bed. When nothing changed for fifteen minutes, he knew he was awake. He hopped down again and quickly threw some clothes on.
No way would she go off by herself
.

Within a minute, he was outside the bus, pulling a T-shirt over his chest. He smiled when he saw Ashley’s four-bedroom house. He looked around and found a few of the road crew walking the property, smoking, something they did not allow on the bus. Pepe and Rafe were not too far away, so he headed in that direction.

Inside the house, Mackenzie walked slowly from the kitchen to the dining room with a plate of toasted bagels to add to the buffet they had put out. She felt Scott on her heels and frowned. He was smothering her. Then just before she put the plate down, her knee gave out.

Scott grabbed her by the waist. “I got you again. We have to stop meeting like this.” When she laughed, he took a deep breath. He was afraid she was tired of him catching her. “You’re doing really good this morning.”

“Yeah.” Jake pulled a chair over and helped her into it. “Wait till Brandon sees you walking again.” He put a glass of orange juice in front of her. “Take some.”

Mackenzie took a few sips. “I’m fine.”

Both Jake and Scott said, “You’re sick.”

Laughing, Mackenzie looked up at them. “I have a mother already. I don’t need three.” She took another sip, knowing she needed the vitamins. “Can one of you guys check on Brandon? Almost everyone is here already.”

Jake touched her shoulder. “He was still sleeping not too long ago. Relax. He’ll be in soon enough.”

Austin brought over a large platter of eggs and another of bacon. “Breakfast!” he shouted loud enough to be heard outside.

Scott stood behind her. “He didn’t sleep 16 hours like you did. Let him sleep. He needs it.” His dick twitched when he looked down at her. So much cleavage was visible from his vantage point. He leaned down, but regretted it when his cock started to stiffen. He had to ask. “You think Brandon will let me join you guys tonight?”

She leaned her head on his abdomen. “I don’t know. You gotta ask him.”

“So I see my kitchen’s not on fire.” Ashley walked into the room, hair disheveled, buttons on her top askew and walking like her thighs hurt. She sat next to Mackenzie with a loud exhale of relief. “Glad I wasn’t missed.”
And you guys didn’t hear me screaming into my pillow
. She blushed, wondering if she could talk to her about Chico.

Mackenzie smiled. “I kept them in line, no worries.” She had to use the bathroom, so she stood up. Scott had her arm, but she wobbled and sat back down. “Gimmie a minute.” Drinking so much was annoying sometimes.

“Thank God!” Brandon was almost frantic because no one had seen her. It didn’t dawn on him to check the house. He noticed her breathing a bit quickly. “What’s wrong?” He rushed to her side and grabbed her by the arms. “Can you still take a deep breath? Does your chest hurt again? How about your throat?”

She gave him a wide grin. “I swear I’m fine. I just been walking around a lot today.”

“Walking? Who had you walking around?” Brandon scanned the room looking for someone to kill.

Scott took a step back. “She feels better, really. She walked from the bus to the house, with me ready to catch her. Kenzie, show him.”

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Holding onto the table, she stood and pushed the chair back. Then she took a step away from Brandon. Jake moved to her side just in case.

Brandon’s mouth dropped at she took several unaided steps. “That’s great.” Then he looked down. His dick was happy too and half-hard with anticipation. “So then you’ll be able to watch the show tonight.”

“Yeah. I’ll be right back.” She slowly walked to the stairs. “Um, is there a bathroom down here?”

Chico, who was sitting on a couch, answered, “No. they’re both upstairs.”

“I’ll carry you, Tink.” Brandon had her off her feet in seconds.

Scott sat in her chair, trying to find the right words to tell Brandon what he did. Everyone started taking food while he thought. The room got loud quickly. He covered his eyes.

“Hey, what’s up?” Austin knew Scott was troubled.

Scott looked up at him. “Can we talk outside?”

“Of course, grab a plate, and we’ll sit on the swing.” Minutes later, they sat alone, thighs touching, eating. “What’d you do?”

“What’d you mean, what’d I do?” Scott couldn’t meet his gaze. He felt guilty.

It wasn’t that they had a true relationship, although many called it that. They were mostly friends with benefits, with a small emotional connection.
Who am I kidding?
It was a huge connection. Scott just chose not to put a label on it.

Austin cupped Scott’s chin and turned his head. “You have that look in your eyes. Like the time you screwed that guy we met in Phoenix. The one you told me was just a fan and not into you like that.” His lip quivered. They had an unspoken rule about other men. It was just like Brandon and Mackenzie’s, always wear a condom.

“He was a fucking virgin.” Scott whined, pulling away. “I wouldn’t take the chance of giving you something.”

“He could’ve lied.”

Scott knew he was right, but when he blew the young man, and he came in 30 seconds, Scott was pretty sure. “I’m sorry. How many times do I have to say it? This is not like that, not exactly.”

“Spill it.” Austin’s eyebrows rose.

Staring at the floor, Scott started rambling, “Um, I kinda fucked Mackenzie this morning. I thought she wanted it, and I was so fucking hard. She assumed Brandon cheated on her while she was sick. I kinda said he took care of it and didn’t explain I meant he jerked off. Then she just started blowing me, here on this swing. When she stopped, I jumped her. I was close to cumming when she said something about cheater. Then a light went on. She was using me at first, and when she came to her senses, I lost mine. Man, she feels so guilty, and I feel like shit. I mean I just nailed her, didn’t ask, just shoved my dick in her. Brandon’s gonna kick the living shit outta me.”

“Hey.” Austin put a hand on Scott’s shaking arm. “He’s not unreasonable. He’ll be a bit pissed, but you didn’t hurt her, did you?” Scott made a face that told he had. “Oh, wow, what did you do, fuck her dry?”

Scott pursed his lips. “I guess, but when she told me it hurt I got her wet and started fucking again. If she let me do it for just one more minute… I woulda fucking came. She was so damn tight.”
