Author note:

Thank you for
reading
Winning the
Legend
! If you enjoyed this book, please
leave me a good review on Amazon.com. You can do this even if you
didn’t buy the book from that site, and it’s one of the best things
that you can do to help me out so that I can continue writing and
publishing. If you aren’t sure how to post a review there, send me
an email at [email protected]. I’ll be more than happy to
help you with the process. If you’ve already left a review, thank
you so much! Look for updates on my website on my current two works
I am working on and planning to release in the winter, a new series
about a time-traveling college student and a spin-off of The Legend
of the Blue Eyes that follows Devin on his journey with
Nessa.

Carnelian
(a YA/NA paranormal novel) - winter
2014

Mari had dreams that
college would be a new beginning. One where she would start over
and not fall for the good looking player. Unfortunately for her,
that is exactly what ends up falling into her lap on the first day
she moves into the dorms. She has to try to not fall for the
handsome Seth, but he doesn’t plan to make it easy for her. Seth
has already marked her as his next conquest. As the semester
progresses, Mari learns that Seth might just have a past of his
own, one that is literally
in
the past. Not only that, but Seth might not be
the only one from the past in her life.
If
Mari can trust him enough to
follow him, Seth will lead Mari on an adventure of a lifetime and
reveal family secrets she never knew existed.

Day Human Prince
(YA paranormal- Legend of the Blue Eyes spin off)
- winter 2014

Devin Alexander spent his life training
towards one goal: protecting Arianna. But what is he supposed to do
when he is no longer needed? While Devin would like to concentrate
on helping the night human world transition to a new world, he
needs to take care of some unfinished business first. Vanessa
McKinny has promised she knows a way to undo the bond she placed on
him to save his life. Once the bond is undone, Devin might have
time to get back to finding his new goal in life, or maybe he’ll
discover that Nessa was meant to be his goal all along.

Acknowledgements

As with any work of fiction, there are many
people to thank along the way.

To you, the reader. Thank
you for taking the time to read this story and go on the journey
with me and Arianna. If you liked it, please leave a review

greatest help you can do to keep a writer going is to support them
by spreading the word about their books and leaving them
encouraging words. If you were really inspired, join my

current and future writings.

Also I would like to thank
my editor and cover designer. A good editor is essential to getting
the story correct. Thank you so much, Kathie, for catching all
those errors. I will be working hard to better my writing through
seeing everything that I have to work on. Thankfully she can catch
everything to make this a better novel for everyone else to read.
Thanks also to Ashton Brammer for the second edit to this book even
better. Thanks to B. for going over every last page to catch any
little error I didn’t correctly fix. A thank you to Ravven for such
a pretty cover. She again designed a beautiful cover that brings
people into the book. A great cover helps get people interested.
They may say
never judge a book by its
cover
, but everyone does! I greatly
appreciate all those that can do what I cannot, like editors and
cover designers. I am grateful I was able to find great
professionals to work with on this book.

I’d also like to thank my hubby for
continuing to push me further down the writing road. He gives me
time when I need it to work on my stories. He encourages me to keep
going each and every day on this adventure. And he does all the
behind-the-scenes effort to make this work. This would be so much
harder without his help. So thank you, B. for pushing me off the
deep end (or the cliff as I see it sometimes). And a great big
thanks to my little ones who keep me going from before the sun
comes up ‘til long after it sets. Love you AK and KB.

Summary:

Arianna has gathered the outside clans to
decide her fate in marriage. A tournament will be held, and she is
the prize, whether she wants to be or not. The only thing for her
to do is watch the clan leaders fight over her, or is it? Thanks to
her team’s well-made plans, Arianna has other strategies in place.
Hopefully one of those plans will earn her freedom.

As the contestants gather and she learns
more about the night human world, there are new allies to keep
close and more enemies to keep even closer. Some even hold more
secrets to her legend and possibly the actual reason to her
existence. Now Arianna must decide what to do with the fate she has
been dealt. The time has come to step out of the shadows of the men
who protect her, and into her own power. The time is now for
Arianna to take control, and fight for the destiny she wants to
live.
