“Will you tell me that every day forever?”
“In Latin and Greek if you want.”
The door popped open, and Damon stuck his head in. “Hey, how come you get to see your groom when I don’t get to see my bride?”
Winter laughed. “I told you there are advantages to being gay.”
Damon nodded to Matt. “Your dad’s waiting to walk you down the aisle.”
“Wow.”
“Hell, man, in a few months you’ve found out you’re a werewolf, been kidnapped and held captive, escaped, uncovered a drug lord, and nearly died from a gunshot wound. That’s a lot for one man to take.”
Matt looked up at Winter. “Yeah, well, falling in love trumps them all. I actually am crazy.”
Winter cocked his head.
“Crazy about Winter.” He reached up and kissed Winter’s lips. “See you in front of the judge.”
Damon smiled as Matt left. “You look like you want to run out the door after him.”
Winter nodded. “I nearly lost him. I have to keep reminding myself that this is real.”
“So I guess we came back for two reasons. Elizabeth and Matt.”
“And Lindsey and Jason and Pop-Pop and Jazz.”
“How did we get so lucky?”
Winter shook his head but couldn’t answer for the huge lump in his throat.
Damon took his hand, and the two of them walked down the hall to the formal living room where the wedding had been set up. As they entered, the guests—both wolves and the humans who had no idea who they stood beside—gasped. Winter grinned. Okay, maybe they really were that amazing-looking.
They took their places at the head of the aisle and looked back at the guests. Cole sat with Paris, both appearing as inhuman and as happy as two males could be. It was good, too, that they’d reconciled with Harker and Marketo enough to have both alphas there with their wives, along with other members of the packs. Winter grinned. A courtesy of one pack to another.
A guitarist started “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring” as Matt walked down the aisle with Jason at his side. In his black tux, he looked like a dream walking. Behind Matt, Elizabeth, beautiful in a simple ivory dress and, of course, her pearls, glided between her father and her son. Lindsey’s lavender neck scarf shone above his black tuxedo.
Winter whispered, “Thanks, Dad.”
“For what?”
“You brought me here to learn the value of pack and to find a mate.”
Damon grinned. “And all my plans worked out perfectly.”
Winter’s heart hammered as Jason stretched Matt’s hand out to him. “Take care of my boy.”
“With pleasure, sir.”
Matt looked up into his eyes as the judge started to speak. “Friends, we’re gathered here today to join these happy couples in matrimony.”
The rest was a blur of smiles, kisses, rings, and joy.
At the reception, Winter stood sipping champagne and waiting for Matt to say his good-byes to his dad. Damon put a hand on his shoulder. “Where are you guys spending your wedding night? Did you book a hotel?”
Winter shook his head.
“I know Elizabeth and her father would love to give you two a bridal suite in their home. After all, you’re an important part of the Vanessen pack.” He laughed.
Winter grinned. “That would be kind, but we have a special spot where we want to spend our first married night.”
“Why do I assume that your special spot has something to do with trees and dirt?”
“You can’t take the wild out of the wolf.”
“I love you, son. You’ll always be the reason I wanted to live a better life.”
Winter hugged his dad. An arm slipped around his waist, and Winter looked down into those green, green eyes. “Is your dad okay?”
“Yes. Casper’s invited him to stay at the estate. They’re collecting Buster from Rita. We’ll see him tomorrow.”
Winter extended his hand. “Are you ready to go?”
“Anywhere with you.”

later, Winter stood by the shed behind the Way Station holding Matt’s hand. Smiling, they walked between the trees to their clearing in the forest where the moon shone just for them.
Winter kissed Matt’s soft lips and lifted him in his arms. “I love you, my wolf.”
“And I love you.”
Winter Thane. Not a lone wolf anymore.

Wolf in Gucci Loafers
Tales of the Harker Pack:
Book Two
By Tara Lain
Socialite Lindsey Vanessen wants someone to love who will love him back—an impossibility for a gay, half-human, half-werewolf. Too aggressive for humans, too gay for wolves, and needing to protect the pack from human discovery, Lindsey tries to content himself with life as a successful businessman. But when someone starts kidnapping members of wealthy families, Lindsey meets tough cop Seth Zakowsy—the hunky embodiment of everything Lindsey wants but can’t have.
Seth has never been attracted to flamboyant men. What would the guys in the department think of Lindsey? But intrigue turns to lust when he discovers Lindsey’s biting, snarling passion more than matches his dominant side. It might mean a chance at love for a cop in black leather and a wolf in Gucci loafers.
