Andi nodded and took his hand in hers, kissing his fingers. “I wouldn’t do that. It may have taken me a while, but I’m here. For good. You were everything I always wanted. Right from the beginning. I just fought it.”

Ford nodded. “That day we went for a sail and we were having lunch… When I told you I didn’t believe in love, you said that you choose to believe. Well, I choose to believe too. Andi, I’ve always believed with you. I was just too damn scared. After you almost drowned, you said that I saved you. But the truth is, you saved me. You’ve been saving me the second you entered that interview.”

“Ford…” She leaned up on her toes and kissed him. Their bodies melted together as his warm, strong arms wrapped around her and lifted her off her feet. And when she pulled away, it was to take him by the arm and lead him into the lake house. “I’m not going anywhere. Not now. Not ever.”
