‘Don’t stop … don’t stop …
don’t
… stop,’ I
begged.

‘You won’t come until I tell you to,’ he breathed
in my ear, as he released my fingers after sucking them clean.

Dan
,’ I complained as I gripped his
shoulders. His thrusts into me were crazed, powerful and … mind blowing. I was
being overpowered by the wave upon wave of pleasure my nerves were feeling, as
his powerful strokes ignited me.

‘Your orgasm will be more intense if you hold off,
I’m reminding you what you’ll miss if you don’t come back with me. Hours upon
hours of bliss on a scale you’ve never experienced. I’ve yet to spend a whole
day worshipping this body of mine,’ he advised with a pinch of my left nipple
between his fingers making me scream with pleasure. ‘Bringing you to the brink
over and over until you’re begging me for release. Until you … fuck,’ he
uttered as I exploded in a powerful climax and sobbed into the crook of his
neck. ‘You’re bloody ruining me,’ he groaned as he emptied himself into me
again and again while I trembled below him. He rolled us onto our sides and
held me tightly to him as I tried to come down from the high of it. ‘Your
orgasm control is seriously appalling,’ he breathed in my ear as he tugged on my
lobe and I giggled.

‘You’re too good. All this talk turns me on too
much.’

‘So move to Scotland with me. Practice makes
perfect,’ he murmured as his warm lips traced my jawline, his strong heartbeat
forcing mine to match his rhythm.

‘It’s not that simple. There’s work to start with
and …’

‘That’s not an issue, Ellie. I’ll simply buy the
company and base its headquarters locally so you can work from my home.’

‘Don’t joke,’ I sighed.

‘I’m not joking. Next apparent insurmountable
obstacle? I’ve already accommodated your friends so don’t bring that up again.’

‘Your … your house isn’t suitable for a family.’

‘What’s wrong with my house?’ he uttered as he
pulled his head back to look at me.

‘Well for starters when Oliver’s walking he could
fall down that gap with the fireman’s pole. There’s no bedroom door and I don’t
want him wandering over to the bed when we’re having sex. You only have one
office, where am I supposed to work? And there’s no dining table for us to eat
at, or extra room for more guests if the spare room becomes his bedroom and I
…’

‘Sssshhhh,’ he advised with a long slow kiss that
had me melt in his strong arms. ‘I’ll build an extension. Nothing you say is
convincing me that you can’t come back with me tomorrow and move in.’

‘Tomorrow?’ I gasped. ‘You’re leaving already?’

‘I’ve already been away for two days, Ellie. I
need to get back,’ he sighed. I felt tears prickle in my eyes.

‘You can’t give me less than twenty-four hours’
notice to pack up my life and move, Dan. Besides we’ve had two days living
together as a family. That’s not long enough to make it permanent.’

‘It’s long enough for me. Why do you still have
doubts?’

‘I love you, but we’ve barely spent a combined
total of five weeks together. Four of which we were constantly fighting. That’s
not exactly the solid foundation to start a life together on.’

‘I don’t give a shit about how long it’s been,’ he
bit back, anger in his voice. ‘I love you and I need you, just as much as I do
my son. You’re the God damn mother of my child, Ellie. There is no stronger
foundation than that.’

‘Don’t shout at me,’ I protested, as I lifted my
hand and ran my fingers over his furrowed brow. ‘I’m not leaving you, I love
you too, but it’s asking a lot of me to make an instant decision like that.’

‘Then come and stay on a trial. I guarantee that
for every objection you still have at the end of it, I’ll give you a hundred
reasons to prove that they’re not insurmountable.’

‘Fine,’ I relented. ‘Give me a week and I’ll come
and stay for a while to see how it goes.’

‘I’m not giving you a week,’ he laughed. ‘You’re
on maternity leave. You have until Friday. James will pick you both up with
your cases Friday afternoon and take you to the airport, where you’ll be flown
in my plane to come and meet me. I’ll be waiting for you both when you land.’

‘If you think I’m letting my son travel in that …
green …
death trap
on wheels you can think again,’ I uttered, as I
recalled the ridiculous bounce in his Land Rover that had bruised me all over.

‘So I’ll meet you in the helicopter or buy a damn
luxury Range Rover to get you back to the house. You’re coming Friday one way
or another,’ he announced firmly as he held my gaze.

‘I hope I’ll be coming again now as I feel you’ve
gone hard again inside me,’ I winked.

‘I should deprive you for aggravating me with your
insistence on fighting me every step of the bloody way,’ he muttered. ‘But you
have me by the damn balls and you know it.’

‘No, but I’d like to,’ I sighed as his mouth
slanted over mine and silenced me.

Day Sixteen

Monday 6
th
July ~ Year Two

Ellie

I wiped the tears from my
eyes and kissed Oliver as I watched James drive Dan away up the cobbled street.
It was only five days until I saw him again, but it hurt. He’d taken a large
piece of my heart with him, leaving me feeling less than complete. I waved
until the rear brake lights disappeared around the corner and closed the door.

‘So,’ I sighed, as I looked at my son. ‘Daddy’s
gone for a few days and then you get to take your first plane ride to see him.
How about some breakfast and then we call Brolly?’ I busied myself with making
fresh pancakes with honey and blueberries, I’d done Dan a full breakfast, but
the thought of saying goodbye to him had left my stomach churning. It was only
now he’d gone that I had my appetite back. He’d been upset when he left too, I
wasn’t used to seeing him shed a tear, but he’d cradled Oliver tightly as he
whispered something in his ear. It physically hurt my chest to see them
together, the way they were meant to be. Oliver needed his father in his life,
just as much as I did.
We
needed him, just as much as I suspected he
needed us. Living separate lives, seeing each other at weekends wasn’t going to
work, I already knew that. On top of how much I’d miss Dan, he’d miss out on
too many firsts with his son. He’d already missed too much, I couldn’t deny him
the chance to see him take his first roll, crawling, speaking or walking. I put
Oliver down for a nap in the lounge and facetimed Brooke. She answered
immediately with a nervous look on her face.

‘Hey, babe.’

‘Don’t worry, I’m not mad at you, though I should
be for going behind my back.’

‘I know,’ she sighed. ‘I promise I did it with all
good intentions, you needed him.’

‘I did, I do,’ I nodded. ‘You’re a good friend,
Brooke.’

‘The bloody best friend, risking your wrath. What
you doing? Has he moved in?’

‘No, he just left to go back to Scotland this
morning.’

‘He left?’ she looked at me amazed and I shrugged.
‘His dead wife is more important than you and his son?’

‘She’s not exactly dead and it’s complicated,’ I
sighed.

‘I’ll say. Do I need to fly up there and kick his
arse?’

‘No, I’m going to go up on Friday and spend two
weeks with him and see how it goes, then we’ll discuss. He wants me to move up
there permanently.’

‘What about work?’ she gasped, as her face fell.
‘In fact sod work, what about
me
?’

‘All things I need to factor in, Brooke. I guess I
could work from up there, as long as he can fly me back for meetings. I can see
you then and he’s said he’ll fly you up to stay in the boathouse whenever you
want. It’s just a lot of change and I don’t do change well.’

‘I’ll say. You freaked out that day I put the
knives in the fork section of the kitchen drawer, it turned into a forking
nightmare,’ she laughed, making me chuckle. ‘So issues about where to live
aside it went well?’

‘Amazingly,’ I smiled. ‘He adores Oliver and was
so upset to say goodbye this morning. His family came around yesterday and were
so welcoming. I mean if we could actually live together without killing each
other, they’d miss out on so much if we were up in Scotland all the time too.’

‘You need to find a way to split your time between
there and here babe, or someone’s going to be unhappy no matter what. Listen
Molly’s working tonight, fancy some company?’

‘Do I ever?’ I grinned. ‘What me to cook you my
Mac and Cheese soufflé?’

‘You temptress you,’ she groaned. I knew it was
her favourite of my meals and she deserved it after her sneaky efforts. ‘Could
we have that amazing chocolate cake you make with Nutella as well? With some
ice cream?’

‘Brooke, after reuniting me with my man, you name
it you’ve got it. What time can you get here?’

‘I’m free from about … now!’ she laughed.

‘Then stop yammering and get your arse over here.
Oliver’s missed you, me too.’

‘Give me about an hour and I’ll be there. Make
sure he’s awake as I’ll want lots of love and snuggles.’

‘He’s always awake for those, I need Dan in my
life to toughen him up or he’s going to turn into a real mummy’s boy with me,
you and Molly as role models, not to mention his gay uncles.’

‘Sod
Three Men and a Baby,
ours would be an
even bigger hit. The singleton, the lesbian, the bi-sexual, two gays and a
baby.’

‘You forgot the complex man and the wife in the
coma.’

‘See that’s way too long a title, but it would
make an awesome Broadway musical.
The com-plex man of Scot-a-land is
thereeeeeee, inside your mind,
’ she sang.

‘I’d at least want Andrew Lloyd Webber to write my
own music, not recycle Phantom of the Opera.’

‘Well Dan could just buy him and make him write as
many musicals as you want, babe. If we did have a movie about our life, who
would play you?’

‘Charlize Theron,’ I answered without hesitation.
‘What about you?’

‘Come on! Got to be Debra Messing with all the red
curly hair,’ she replied, with a roll of her eyes. ‘Who’d play Dan?’

‘Oooo good one,’ I mused.
Who would play him?
I couldn’t think of anyone handsome enough. ‘I guess facial looks wise Matt
Bomer, but with Henry Cavill’s Superman body and Ashley Banjo’s flexibility and
dance moves.’

‘Wow,’ nodded Brooke. ‘That
is
one sexy
mash up. Even my pussy’s flaming at the thought.’

‘Your pussy flames at any sexual thought.’

‘Fair point,’ she nodded. ‘Ok, it’s going to be
one hour fifteen now.’

‘Why the extra fifteen minutes?’

‘Trust me, you don’t want to know,’ she winked,
with a horny twinkle in her eye.

‘Go!’ I ordered with a laugh and hung up and heard
Oliver giggling as well. ‘You need to close your ears when auntie Brooke’s on
the phone young man,’ I advised, as I peaked over the edge of the cot at him
and he smiled. I picked him up and decided to let him sleep on me while I had a
few minutes as well. Brooke had a key and I was completely shattered myself.
Dan had spent hours making me come last night. I smiled as I closed my eyes and
started to relive it all.

‘Will you stop it,’ I laughed as I changed his
nappy with Brooke laughing as she sprawled on the bed behind me. I’d opened her
some champagne to go with our meal, but I hadn’t breast fed Oliver with having
a drink yesterday, so didn’t want to upset his routine too much. After nearly
the whole bottle she was well on her way to being slaughtered. ‘I’m sure Dan
would have been happy no matter what size his penis is.’

‘I’m telling you, that’s no normal sized one. He’s
going to be like his dad when he grows up. A bruiser. A lady parts bruiser.’

‘This is my three month old son you’re talking
about,’ I retorted, as I flung a nappy at her head.

‘Holy shit,’ she screamed, as she quickly rolled
away. ‘That had better be a clean one.’

‘Like I want to clean dollops of baby crap out of
your hair,’ I laughed, as she gingerly picked up the nappy to check. ‘Much as I
love him, doing this doesn’t rank highly on my benefits of being a mother
list.’ I secured the sticky tabs and stood him up and blew a raspberry on his
stomach which had him in fits of giggles which set Brooke and I off. After
dressing him in a romper suit we headed down to the lounge and I lay him on his
play mat, under his mobile of soft squidgy shapes for him to stare at and bat
with his hands.

‘So how are things with you and Molly?’ I asked as
I tucked myself into the corner of the sofa with a bottle of water and Oliver
in my eye line.

‘Amazing. Can you believe we’ve been together
nineteen months? Nineteen days was pretty much a record for me before her.’

‘I’m so proud of you, it’s like my little girl’s finally
grown up,’ I teased and earned myself a smack in the face with a cushion.
They’d enjoyed living together with me so much, that Molly had moved in with
Brooke permanently.

‘O sod off,’ she chuckled. I grabbed her hand and
squeezed it. I was so proud of her, she was in a proper adult relationship.

‘So where do you see this going? I mean you’re
living together. Are kids on the horizon, marriage?’

‘Kids! Jog on.’ She looked at me aghast. ‘We can
live vicariously through you and Oliver and all the other little Danettes
you’ll be spewing out of that spring back vagina of yours.’

‘I’d love a girl too,’ I sighed, as I looked over
at him falling asleep. ‘It’s not going to happen though, he’ll never allow it.’

‘If he doesn’t wear rubbers, then you just
accidentally forget a few pills,’ she shrugged.

‘Brooke!’ It was my turn to wallop her. ‘That’s
deceitful and I would never do that to him. If we had another it would be
because he wanted it too. Anyway we’re talking about you.’

‘Can you keep a secret?’ she asked quietly, as she
rummaged in her handbag.

‘Of course I can, I’m insulted at the insinuation
that I can’t.’ I looked at her intrigued when she put a small velvet box in my
hand. She blushed and nodded for me to open it. ‘Brooke,’ I gasped as I looked
at the simple oval diamond ring. ‘Is this what I think it is?’

‘Yeah,’ she replied, as she went even redder and
fiddled with her fingers.

‘You’re going to ask her to marry you?’

‘I have everything with her that I have with you,
but with the bonus of amazing sex too. I don’t want to imagine not being with
her anymore.’

‘She’s going to love it, oval’s so unusual as
well.’

‘Quirky like we are, bet you’re a square girl,’
she teased.

‘I’m traditional, square or rounds, but if you
think I’m square I need to fill you in on what I did with Dan last night.’

‘Really?’ her face lit up. ‘Give me more details.’

‘You give me first, so how are you going to do it?
It needs to be romantic.’

‘Damn it, and here was me going to do it while
she’s taking a dump on the loo,’ she tutted with a shake of her head.

‘I wouldn’t put it past you. You’re a blurter.
Besides, I want to marry poo has a nice “ring” to it,’ I laughed.

‘Don’t,’ she chuckled. ‘She doesn’t get my toilet
humour at all. I got her one of those collectable turd figurines for one of her
birthday presents and she wasn’t amused.’

‘Which one?’

‘Harry Plopper, I mean cute, right?’ she looked at
me for affirmation.

‘I think so, though I’m still partial to my
Terdinator you got me for Christmas. So toilet’s out then?’

‘I was thinking a romantic meal, then a champagne ride
on The London Eye at night with all the sparkly lights.’

‘Is there a time limit for this?’

‘I think the rides are about half an hour.’

‘For you wanting to propose, not the ride,’ I
laughed.

‘O sorry. No massive rush, but now I have a ring I
want to do it sooner than later.’

‘Give me some time to have a think about it, in
case I can add something else for you to make it as special as it can be.’

‘Like what,’ she asked all eagerly, as she turned
to face me.

‘Well I don’t know, that’s where the whole time
element comes into it,’ I laughed.

I had to help her to bed, she was that drunk after
opening more champagne to drink. I carefully carried Oliver up to his bed in my
room and snuggled down and checked my phone, smiling to see a few missed
facetime calls from Dan. I checked my watch and wondered if it was too late to
contact him, but I needed to see him. Part of me was worried that having
returned to Scotland and his old routine, he’d change his mind about Oliver and
I being such a large part of his life. I dialled and he picked up almost
instantly.

‘Ellie,’ he answered as his drop dead gorgeous
face came into view.

‘You have the sexiest voice,’ I groaned.

‘I think you’ll find I have sexy everything,’ he
winked. ‘Just like my bird.’

‘Your soon to be ex-bird if you call me that
again,’ I warned, whilst revelling in the fact that he still thought of me as
his.

‘I’ve missed you.’

‘You have?’

‘You haven’t? And no smart alec witty comeback,’
he warned.

‘I’ve missed you too,’ I nodded, as I felt my
cheeks going pink.

‘Are you embarrassed?’

‘Yes, we’re sort of a couple now.’

‘No,’ he snapped back quickly. ‘We
are
a
couple, I told you that you’re mine. Are you ok? Is something wrong?’

‘No, nothing’s wrong.’

‘Then why are you calling?’ he frowned.

‘O my God,’ I laughed. ‘That’s what couples do,
Dan. They ring to say hello to each other, to talk and catch up, share how
their days went and to say how much they miss each other. You have so much to
learn when it comes to a relationship.’

‘Arsehole did this with you?’

‘Yes, on a regular basis, often in my lunch break.’
