He didn’t bother ringing the doorbell, knowing that she expected him and most likely would have left the doors unlocked. He bypassed the foyer, choosing to stand in the open doorway to the living room. Too much time in her presence and he would not be held accountable for his actions. It didn’t surprise him that Gerd’s home looked the part of an old fashioned bordello. All during their marriage she center-pieced every sex toy she ever bought, as if it made him feel randy to see her self-gratifying as soon as he walked through the door. He never understood why she wanted her sex life shown so overtly. He much preferred Vanessa’s penchant for covert sexuality. Her covered body just allowed his mind to imagine taking off every piece, like a daily big reveal.

“Gerd,” he called out, assuming she did what she always did, entertain herself. “What did you do with my children?”

“Whatever do you mean, my love?” she returned sweetly. She entered the room wearing the crimson teddy she’d worn the time he caught her cheating on him. He doubted she even noticed he remembered that little tidbit.

He took a moment to keep his rising anger contained. His fingers itched to grab the hilt of his sword. That she tried to play him now bothered him greater than any of her previous tricks. This time, she went after his family, knowing how he felt about those he called his own. “Let’s not play this game. You and I both know you had the twins taken. Tell me what you did with them and I might let you live.”

She had the audacity to laugh. “Do you think me stupid, husband? I know you better than I know anyone. If you want those little bastards returned alive, you will do what I say. You will leave that woman and come back to me immediately.” She pulled the whip she held from behind her back, caressing the leather with both hands. “Then, I want you on your knees, begging me to let that woman and those brats live.” She sucked the tip of the handle in her mouth, her eyes rolling back in her head as she thrust her hips forward.

Freyr lowered his lids to hide the expression in his eyes. That at one time her small curves and pale skin excited him made him wonder about himself in his younger years. He appreciated the son they shared, but other than that, he no longer felt the tingling that signaled arousal. Now, she was just any pale-skinned woman, decent to look at, but not to his desire. A laugh began to bubble up along his throat. He slid his hands into his pockets, fingering his cell phone. As soon as he received confirmation of the twins’ safety, this charade would finally be over, but for now, he continued to play along. “Begging won’t guarantee the safety of my children. You and I both know the rules of our dominant and submissive relationship. I’m also pretty sure that I’m never the one to beg for anything.”

She ceased all motion, staring at him. “You really think that you’re the dominant in this relationship? I have controlled everything from the moment I agreed to marry you. You’re my bitch, not the other way around.”

For the first time since arriving, Freyr allowed his amusement to show. “You really think you controlled me. Who is the one trying to get me back? Certainly, I’m not chasing you. I didn’t kidnap your children to get your attention. I’m also pretty sure I’m not the one aroused and trying to entice you into bed.”

Red began across her heaving chest and rose to take hold of her face. Freyr calmly approached his ex-wife, hands still out of her view. “I don’t play with my body at every opportunity, nor do I waste my time wearing seductive clothing to garner a reaction. My fighting for your affection was just that, a man fighting to be with the woman he desired above all else. If I had known being your husband would have become this, I would have just gone with my first mind and fucked you to get off. That is all you’re good for.”

“How dare you?” she screamed. “How dare you talk to me like that? I am Gerd, beloved Giantess. All men desire me.”

His phone vibrated in his hand.  He checked the message, ignoring Gerd’s tantrum as he received very good news. Freyr released a silent sigh. “Looks like your plan didn’t work.”

Her mouth snapped closed on whatever else she planned to say. Freyr used that silence to return his phone to his pocket and finger the hilt of his sword. Cutting her down would ensure that she never approached his family again. No one would have to know, at least, those that mattered would fully understand why he killed a woman.

Just as he would have pulled the sword free, he felt another hand cover his. “Don’t bother with trash like her, Freyr,” his twin said in her soft voice. “You go home to your family. I will handle this.”

His hand tightened for just a moment, wanting so badly to get rid of the woman before him. It seemed so anti-climactic leaving her alive when his blood sang for retribution. “Freyr, Vanessa wants you home. Don’t you think you should be holding one of your sons?”

He left then, making a beeline for his vehicle and breaking all speed limits to reach home as quickly as possible. For once, the elevator obliged him by opening as soon as he pressed the button. Twin cries greeted him as soon as he stepped into his condo. His nieces stood near the entrance, each holding a squirming bundle while Vanessa had her arms wrapped around his eldest son, crying incoherently into his shoulder.

He said nothing of his son’s red face as he collected each babe from the girls. As soon as the tiny weight settled into his arms, all crying ceased, allowing twin pairs of blue eyes to look at him. Everything was right in his world just then. He had his babies, he had his woman, and they were all where he could see them. Now, he just had to convince Vanessa that he was tired of living without the protection of his brethren. Asgard would afford them everything they needed for raising the boys, and he would no longer be denied his desires. He needed to make sure that nothing like this every happened again. His heart couldn’t take it.

Epilogue

Vanessa didn’t know how she felt about mobile twins, but this was a moment that she had been preparing for since they both learned they could use furniture to stand on their wobbly feet. The only person that seemed nonplussed about this new development was their father, who seemed more than content to chase after them.

She leaned back in her chair, one hand laid across her newly stretched belly. How she didn’t get pregnant sooner with a horn dog like Freyr for a husband, she’d never know. She really had no clue whether she was prepared to bring new life into Asgard, but right now she had no choice. A baby was a blessing, and at least this time, she only had to worry about having one.

“They’re so cute when they toddle at this age,” Freyja said as she sat beside Vanessa. “I remember chasing after my own girls when they found their legs. It’s a good thing that you have a husband as energetic as Freyr.”

“Thank God for small blessings. I don’t know what I’d do if not for that man. Of course, I wouldn’t have the twins, or be pregnant again if I hadn’t met him. So, really, I don’t know if he’s a blessing or a pain.”

Freyja laughed. “All you have to do is keep him off you until Idunn’s apples kick in and then you will be able to have much fun with few children between.”

Vanessa groaned. “But that takes so long, and somehow I doubt that Freyr’s little swimmers will ever be less potent. Plus, you’ve met my mother, right. I’m the second youngest of ten children. Ten! I’ll never get my shape back.”

“Who needs a shape when you have such sex appeal to make me crazy with just a look,” Freyr said as he approached. In his arms, he carried a giggling twin. They all looked so much alike that Vanessa wondered just how strong the man’s genes were. Maybe he really did own a cloning machine and just implanted the cells into her uterus one night while she had been sleeping.

“You have got to be the only man I know that gets so randy because a woman’s pregnant.”

He shook his head, blonde hair shining in the sun. “Not just any pregnant woman. My pregnant woman. You’re my pregnant woman. And these,” he planted a kiss on top of each baby soft blonde head of their boys, “are proof that you are mine.”

“Mini-Freyr’s don’t count as proof. If this child is born looking more like me than you, we’ll call that actual proof. Them boys can be just as my father says, any old white child born from a white mother and father.” Two little bottoms were plopped into her disappearing lap. Suddenly, four pairs of blue eyes stared at her, the littlest pairs looking at her with tears pooling. She sighed. “Okay, Faas and Fawke can be proof, too. Although, black people don’t name their children Faas or Fawke.”

Freyr laid a kiss directly on her lips. “Half-black children can be named whatever a parent desires. Half-black children living in Asgard end up with strong Scandinavian names, befitting their status.”

“Only if they are boys,” she reminded him. “Half-black children that are born girls get named by their black momma. So, even if she comes out blonde haired and blue eyed like her father, she’ll still have a strong black girl name. Ziraili comes to mind.” She nodded to make her point.

The expression on her husband’s face proved too much for her. She laughed long and hard, cradling her children close while she silently thanked God for every blessing given to her. If someone had told her she’d be married to an immortal Viking and a mother of his beautiful children, she would have laughed in their faces and had them committed. Now, she relished the life she lived and enjoyed the benefits that having a fit man loving her body every night gave her.

And with Gerd now in an Asgard approved prison, she no longer had to worry about someone trying to take everything away from her. Life couldn’t get any better than this. Now…if she could just have a child with some color, life would be even better, at least for her daddy, who still bemoaned having to take the twins around his fellas.

Author’s Note

Thanks for reading. I really appreciate it as I’m in a place of finally getting started on living out my ultimate dream. I have been writing for a very long time, but haven’t always had the chance to take the first steps into trying to publish. I’ve wanted to, a lot, but I’ve often allowed life to get in the way, and that’s okay. I’m here now and that is what is most important. I’d love to hear feedback at [email protected]

About the author

Taki James developed as pseudonym that developed from a realization that a budding author was headed in two completely different directions. She didn’t necessarily want to put her name on both works, because essentially, a separation of personality is probably a good thing. Some may know her sesshou_lover if they are fans of fanfiction and have ever visited sites like dokuga.org or adultfanfiction.net. The name behind Taki James enjoys reading, writing, a building a media empire. She enjoys living her life to the absolute fullest and believes that a person should always go out and pursue their greatest dreams, especially because she is currently in a place where she is finally able to do it. Her deepest dream and greatest wish is to see her novels on the big screen (made not by Hollywood, but by her very own hands), and to help out others who want to learn to do the same. She considers herself a very giving individual and would love to hear some feedback from her audience.
