But seeing you and Adam sitting in their chairs reminded me of them.” She cleared her throat, her eyes glistening as she tried to straighten her sloped shoulders. “Well, that’s enough time wandering down memory lane. I have a cherry pie in the oven to take to the Yoders’ for church tomorrow. I need to check on it.”
