A lot of loving hands touch my work on its way to becoming a book. Firstly, I want to thank my editor, Deb Werksman. She inherited me mid-project but never made me feel like an also-ran. The most pleasing parts of this story can be attributed to her attention to detail and spot-on good taste. Guess that means the less pleasing parts are mine. Unless I could blame them on my fabulous agent, Natasha Kern. But no. She's been on the Somerfield Park bandwagon since the idea for the series sprang into my head.
Then there are the incredible people at Sourcebooks who take my manuscript and transform it into what you now hold in your hands. Thank you to Susie Benton for keeping me on task and on time. I'm grateful to talented cover artist Dawn Adams, production editor Rachel Gilmer, copy editor Gretchen Stelter, and publicist Danielle Dresser and her crew. Then there are the sales staff, and the booksellers, and I could go on and on.
Lastly, I want to thank YOU, dear reader. There are many things competing for your attention today, and I'm thrilled you've chosen to spend some time with me and the folk who live in Somerfield Park. I hope you enjoy your visit and return to us often. For more about my books, please visit
