ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

A huge thank you to my beta readers: Basma Alwesh, Rebecca Wilkinson, Jenn Roseton and Melanie G. Howe for their invaluable feedback, and to Winnie Lim for her help with proofreading the manuscript. Special thanks goes to retired West Yorkshire Police Inspector, Kevin Robinson, who shared his wealth of knowledge with me and helped me check the police procedural details in the story with so much patience.

And as always, I am so grateful for my amazing husband—for his encouragement, support, endless patience and humour (life with a creative isn’t easy!)—from the practical things, like taking care of household chores so that I have more time to write, to always offering a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on. He is one man in a million.
