Chapter
Eight

On the rooftop across from the latest murder victim, Nicolas stood watching.
What the hell?
Collin stood outside the shitty apartment building with a cigarette lit in his mouth and Lena stood beside him with her arms crossed as she searched around her.

But that wasn’t the problem. No, the problem started when he
followed the familiar smell and came to investigate. What he found surprised the hell out of him and nothing had made him feel so sick to his stomach.

The body he found had been covered in blood and
was nearly ripped to shreds. But he knew exactly who she was. He smelled his scent all over her as he walked into the one bedroom apartment.

The girl he’d screwed
was dead and he would likely be the key suspect. Someone had framed him and Nicolas needed to find out who before the Guardians found him. Many vampires fell off the wagon. Why would they have reason to believe that didn’t happen to him?

Collin’s silver gaze turned toward him, causing Nicolas to freeze until Collin pulled his sword free. Yep, they already suspected him.

Lena ripped her own weapon free before she noticed Nicolas.

Well, shit. Nicolas took off jumping the openings between the buildings. Going rooftop to rooftop until he made it
far enough away, he was confident they’d lost track of him. With the Guardians being fast and damn good fighters, Nicolas had to be at his best if he wanted to survive.

His chest heaved as he put all his power into running and jumping. He had no desire to fight them. His feet faltered as he landed on at least the fifteenth roof. Looking up, he caught sight of Gregory
, the best sharpshooter and tracker they had.

Fuck.” Nicolas stood on aching legs. He had to get away before back up arrived.

Yea, fuck is right. What the hell man? You were the last person I expected to be hunting tonight.” Gregory swung his large sword with ease.

Nicolas stepped back.
“I don’t want to fight you. Just let me leave. It will save us both some trouble.” He knew nothing would stop them from killing him but he had to stall for time.

You killed a human. You tortured her!” Gregory’s voice grew loud even as he choked on his own words.

Gregory’s sister had been killed in the same manner by Gregory's own brother
, her brother, a Guardian who turned rogue right under their noses. It was another reason Nicolas needed to think fast.

Fine, I’ll go in with you.”

Gregory’s brows lifted in surprise as Nicolas stepped forward with his arms in the air. As Gregory reached for him, Nicolas dropped his arms letting his dagger fall from his sleeve to fit perfectly into his hand. Giving Gregory no time to react, Nicolas stabbed him.

The dagger went into Gregory's gut, Nicolas knowing the wound would only slow him down. His comrade hit the concrete hard and Nicolas took his opportunity to run.

Anya tried to open her eyes.
Holy shit, that hurt.
Keeping her eyes closed, she tried to lift up into a sitting position. Her body felt heavy and she was certain the room was spinning.

The light
was bright and her head ached, but she endured the pain until the strong ache dwindled. Around her the walls looked bare white which scared the hell out of her. No, this couldn’t be right. Her life didn’t end at the hands of some serial killer.

All she remembered
was going into the men's room to prepare for the sexy god like creature who decided to make her night. Then she saw a man who did something to her. She wasn't able to move as he took her away.

Hello?” Anya yelled out to whomever might be listening. “Hello! Who are you and what the hell do you want with me?”

Nothing.
Nada.

T
hen the door opened. The man in front of her beat Nicolas in looks hands down. Normally she wouldn’t have cared for red hair, but on him it was absolutely no issue.

His curly
, dark-red hair fell around his strong jaw. The same red tint dusted his cheeks, chin, and upper lip. Oh man, how she wanted him to rub his beard all over her body then follow that with his tongue.

Silver eyes watched her closely as his lips lifted into a smile. She wanted to bite his bottom lip like nobody’s business
. And those fangs.
Wait! Fangs?
Kinky. Kinky worked for her most of the time.

She really should be acting more like someone who’
d been kidnapped yet oddly enough, she didn't feel scared. “Why did you bring me here?”

His tongue peeked out to touch one of his fangs. They seemed so real and she wanted to do the same with her tongue.

“I noticed you with Nicolas but I wanted you for myself.” He walked around her as if waiting to pounce.

A shiver went down her spine. Maybe she
was a little scared. “You don’t like Nicolas?”

His lips lifted in disgust.
“Like? No I hate him more than you’ll ever know. He’s evil and I had to get you away from him before you end up like all his other victims.”

This jerk was
claiming to be the good guy?

How do I know you won’t hurt me? I’m a little frightened by all of this.” She opened her arms to the room. “I mean you did drug me, right?  Then you dragged me off to some unknown place.”

His fingertips grazed her cheek.
“I didn't drug you but I’m sorry. My manners are not well. My name is Lucian Davron. I’m going to show you the night of your life. You're going to enjoy everything I do to you. I promise.”

The sound of his voice pulled at her to
listen to his every word. His eyes held hers captive. Her heart stopped at his sexy grin then he kissed her and the beat started back up full throttle as if someone sent a shock through her. Before she knew what happened, he had her in a bed ripping her clothes off in a frenzy where his clothes joined hers on the floor.

A little angel
in the back of her head told her what she was doing was wrong but the need she felt for Lucian took over her common sense and the little devil in her won the internal battle.

Lifting to her elbows, she watched in a daze as he gripped his thick length.

“Open for me. Now.”

Anya usually would've disobeyed but couldn't seem to as she did exactly as he said. It felt strange, as if she had no control.

His hand moved slowly in long strokes before he aimed for her drenched folds and plunged deep. The stretching, burning pain pushed her into an orgasm instantly. In the small amount of light, his eyes glowed as he watched their union and his hips drove in and out in a crushingly fast motion.

After her third orgasm, he flipped her over onto her stomach. She couldn’t even move as he plunged into her from behind. His balls slapped against her clit
as one hand gripped her hair and the other pinched her nipple.

H
e had to be the best lover ever.

He leaned in close until his chest pressed against her back and his breath hit her neck. He licked and sucked while his hips continued to thrust her into another orgasm
in an all-time record for her.

The fangs she found sexy scraped her neck and she had this odd craving for him to bite her. As if hearing her thoughts, he did. Her body shook as orgasm after orgasm wracked her body
as Lucian’s mouth pulled at her neck, making her want more. Before long she was pleading.

His hips never missed a beat until finally he pulled his mouth away from her neck
and let out an animalistic growl. One last slam of his hips and his release filled her.

Her body jerked in little aftershocks.
“I'm so glad you kidnapped me.”

In her head she knew how wrong that sounded but she really didn't care. The sex was fantastic and if she died it wouldn't be so bad. If he kept it up, death by sex was most
likely going happen before anything else.

He lifted his body enough to look at her.
“I'm glad I did too.”

Anya didn't want to ruin the moment but she knew Elle would worry about her.
“I have a friend who'll want to know where I'm at.”

I've already thought about that. I used your phone to text her. She won't worry.” He spoke as if everything he done was okay.

The sex is beyond extraordinary but you can't just kidnap someone.” It was like a fog lifted from her mind and reality set in. The man was going to kill her. Why else would he kidnap her? And why did she have sex with him so willingly?

Anya.”

She froze.
“Yes.”

Calm down.” His voice sounded so sweet. “I told you before that I'm not going to hurt you. I was protecting you and maybe I wanted you to myself without the taint of Nicolas.”

She smiled.

“Now forget about your friend and that I kidnapped you. You came here with me voluntarily when I invited you to my home. Okay?” His red brows rose as he waited for her reply.

I'm so glad we met and you invited me home.” Anya couldn't remember what upset her before. She shoved the nagging thought away and kissed Lucian. That was all she needed to get over whatever it was that bothered her before.

Chapter
Nine

Aiden threw the empty blood bag into the trash to join the other three he'd finished.

You going to wipe the human's mind?” Drake asked.

Aiden looked up at his fellow Guardian.
“No.”

Okay. Since we'll be protecting her, I'll take over the responsibility since we all know you don't want anything to do with women. I can make her stay very enjoyable.”

Aiden’s
mouth ached as his fangs shot out and a growl rumbled through his chest. “No.”

Silver eyes narrowed on him
before Drake shrugged his shoulders. “The cleaners are on their way. We should head back before the sun comes up.”

Aiden nodded
and grabbed Elle into his arms before Drake had the chance. “I need to get some rest. It's been a long night.”

Drake grinned.
“I bet. Especially after decades of being a monk.”

Funny.” If only he'd had a night like Drake joked about. Aiden maneuvered into the SUV with Elle still in his arms, no intention of letting her go.

It's nice you found a mate, Aiden. Everyone's been worried about you.”

Aiden frowned as he watched Drake fight a smile in the rearview mirror.
“She's not my mate. We aren’t involved.” Aiden was bad luck and he hadn't deserved his first mate, much less another one.

Sure, okay.” Drake nodded. “Here we are.”

They pulled through the now open gate,
glided down a hill around the Sanctuary and ended in a nice sized garage that contained one military grade hummer, four SUV's, and several sports cars.

You want me to take her to a room?” Drake offered.

No.” Aiden walked through doors and down the long hall toward his own room. “She comes with me.”

Not your mate, my ass,” Drake ducked off into the training room, mumbling to himself.

Rolling his eyes, Aiden didn't stop until he made his way to his door. He knew Jodi would come running once Ethan told her about Elle, but Aiden didn't feel like talking or seeing anyone.

He managed to open the door and enter his room without jarring Elle. Even after the night's events, he still couldn't believe she was able to sleep. Trying to control his reaction at just holding her, Aiden removed her clean clothes he'd changed her into before Drake arrived, leaving only her bra and panties.

After getting her under the covers, Aiden joined her and hoped she didn't wake up angry.

He wanted to sleep with her so she didn't wake up alone with no clue where she was. She'd awake hysterical if she remembered the events of their night.

Elle woke with a splitting headache and no clue whose bed she’d ended up in but it wasn't hers. Trying to move, she was stopped by something heavy holding her in place.

Aiden.
Her skin tingled where their skin touched. She tried again to move and groaned loudly as his leg slipped between hers to graze against her sensitive clit. His touch was like throwing gasoline on a fire.

Memories of the events from the night before hit her like a tidal wave. They
were attacked by a vampire. No, two vampires, which Aiden beheaded. Elle started to panic until his leg moved again. Damn, that felt good.

When did her life change?

She strained to remember the last time she ended up in bed with a man. Naked.

Not a clue.
