“Like this? Does it feel good?” He doesn’t move his finger fast, and even though I’m in water, I can feel my wetness.

“More! More!” I groan, shoving my hips forward.

“There you go,” I feel his smile. “Work my cock!”

“Ah!” I scream. “It’s so good!”

“Luci I can’t stop it!” He cries. “I’m gonna come!”

I don’t respond, too busy screaming out myself.

“I can’t hold back any longer! Fuck!” He stills, twisting his legs trying not to come. “Where do you want it?”

“My mouth!” I tell him, but as soon as he slowly starts to pull out the door opens. Shocked, I immediately start to move away, but he pulls me back down, sliding into me harder. I hear his faint, pleasurable groan, and that does it. He comes in me, his eyes wide, full of relief and amazement.

“Almost ready?” A lady with a thick French accent asks, but I can’t look away from him as he throbs relentlessly, filling me.

A shocked, blissful smirk crosses his face, and the pressure of him coming inside me is so strong, or maybe it’s the situation of someone else being in the room and having no idea what’s happening, but out of nowhere, my legs start to shake. His pushes me down harder, and before I know it, I’m coming too.

They exchange a few words, and the next thing I register is the door shutting. The second it clicks he lifts me, bringing us halfway out of the water and onto the floor, still thrusting, grunting, and of course, still coming.

“Fuck yes!” He says lowly, his hips pumping. “Take it! Take it all!” I feel myself contracting around his jutting dick, because shit, do I want every last drop.

My eyes are completely glazed over by the time we finish, and I feel the jarring emptiness as he pulls out.

“Get up,” he whispers. “She’ll be back any second.”

I sit up, and he tosses me my bottoms.

Chapter 22

-Josh-

Since returning from break school has been calm. Early May is upon as, bringing warmer weather, and I take off the second Wednesday of the month to drive Luci back to Boston.

“It feels like my student teaching flew!” She smiles, her bare feet resting on the dashboard, her flip-flops thrown on the floor.

“It does,” I reach out, grabbing her hand while stealing a glance.

“Stop looking at me while you drive!” She laughs. “Focus on the road!”

“I can’t help it,” I smile at the boring highway. “You’re much prettier.”

“This week is going to suck!” She groans, and I squeeze her hand.

“I know,” I sigh. “But, I’ll be back next Thursday for graduation,” I shake our hands, trying to her excited, “and then you’ll be home all summer. Everything is already figured out for fall. It’s perfect.”

“It is,” she sighs. “
Soooo
what’s on your agenda for said summer?”

“You.”

Her giggle drives me wild, and I pull her hand towards me, kissing her palm before resting it on my lap. “We haven’t talked about Deb’s wedding.”

“Yes, the fake real one,” she snickers.

“You’re coming right?” I sneak another peek.

“Are you asking?” She winks, before signaling with her hand for me to face forward.

“I’m begging,” I roll my eyes. “It’s two weeks before Gracie’s graduation. June 11.”

“I know when it is,” she rolls her eyes. “But…I’ll see your parents again.”

“Yes.”

“Won’t that be strange? Your Mom didn’t like me before, and now that she knows about us… Maybe I should I be, like, your friend?”

“But you’re my girlfriend.”

“But maybe she’ll like me more if she thinks we’re friends. I feel like I have no chance in hell with being your girlfriend.”

I laugh at her twisted way of thinking.

“I mean,” she continues. “Girlfriend is like this big title, and -”

“And there’s no one else I’d want for the job.”

She chuckles softly, and if I look over, I’m sure she’d be blushing.

“Focus on the positive,” I sigh. “We’ll stay overnight… another hotel room…” My mind is already spinning at all the new places and surfaces I can fuck her on. When she doesn’t answer, I finally look over. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing,” she shakes her head. “I sort of just not started feeling well out or nowhere.”

“I told you we shouldn’t have stopped for that fast food.”

She grabs her stomach, giving me a dirty look. “Just get off at the next rest stop.”

It takes us especially long to get to Boston, and Luci seems to be feeling better by the time we arrive. The sun is already setting as I carry her suitcase to her old dorm, and as soon as we step inside her and Ren hug excitedly. I’m caught off guard when Ren offers me a hug too.

“Thank you so much for letting me stay here for the week. I hope your suitemate won’t mind.”

“She’s barely here,” Ren brushes it off. “And don’t thank me. My blowup mattress isn’t very comfortable.”

“Can I offer you ladies some dinner before I drive back?” I interrupt. “My treat. Your choice?”

Ren seems interested, but when I look over at Luci, I can tell she’s not.

“Still not feeling well?” I rub her shoulders.

“No I’m feeling better,” she hesitates. “I’m just not hungry, and you have a long drive back.”

“Eager to get rid of me?” I tease, and she leans in, smiling sadly. I feel bad for leaving her, knowing she’s not feeling great, but we say our goodbyes, and soon, I’m on my way back to New York.

As soon as I get home, I rush into my apartment and begin tearing it apart, searching.

I remember the day like it was only yesterday. It was fall, after all the stuff happened with Luci. I was angry, yearning, and lonely, and there was this ring, shining in an otherwise dank window display. I passed by the antique store four times before finally going inside.

The man went on and on about how it’s from the early 1900s, and it’s history, but I didn’t care about the details. I was far too taken with the design. The front, shaped like an outline of a small ship, had diamonds as its sails, a large one in the middle with two on smaller ones on either side. It reminded me of Luci’s favorite tale,
Tristan and Isolde
, and it made me smile. Up until then, I couldn’t remember the last time I smiled.

Sure, it’s a tragic love story, but Luci is into those sorts of things, and unlike those characters, I wanted our story to be anything but tragic. Only, it was, because of me.

In that instant I vowed to fix it, no matter how long it would take. I knew that if I one day ever got Luci back I’d never let her go. So I held the ring in my hand, I inspected the inside, and it’s engraving sealed the fate of my purchase.
I will always come to you
.

Up until now, I forgot I even had it, so much so that I have no idea where it even is, but despite the late hour, here I am, tearing my apartment apart searching for it.

While I want nothing more than this sweet girl to be mine forever, I fear what she’ll think about the commitment I’m asking for.

By Sunday, I haven’t talked to Luci all day, and even yesterday, I barely did. I’m on cloud nine as I pull into Deb and Matt’s house for dinner. It took me two days to find the ring, but I finally remembered hiding it behind the dresser in my closet, and low and behold, it was still there.

Eloping has done Matt and Deb good, and truth be told, I’m glad they did it, just as long as our parents never find out.

By the time we’re finished eating, I can’t hold back any longer.

“I’m giving Luci a ring for graduation!”

“You can’t give her that as a graduation gift,” Deb laughs. “You don’t give a girl a ring unless…” her eyes narrow in. “Wait, are you proposing?”

I nod, smiling.

“Oh my gosh!” She shrieks, and her chair falls back as she runs and hugs me.

“How are you going to do it? Give me all the details!”

That night, I call Luci again to say goodnight, but there’s no answer, and the next thing I know, I’m waking up to light shining through my bedroom window.

My phone is still on my chest, with no texts or missed calls.

As soon as I get to my office during lunch, I see a missed call from her. Finally.

I’m about to call back, when there’s a knock on my door. I shout for whomever it is to come in, and I don’t know why, but my heart is pounding, thinking maybe its Luci. It’s ridiculous, really. Why would she be here today, when I know she has her student teaching presentation?

Only a couple of more days
, I remind myself.

My heart’s thudding halts when it’s Brittney who walks in.

“Please just stay where you are,” I jump from my chair.

“Why?” She smirks. “Scared we’ll kiss again?”

“You know that was not done on purpose. I-”

“Spare me,” she stops. “I know your girlfriend got my job.”

“That was not my doing.”

“No, David’s wife found out I was pregnant. He thinks I told her, but I didn’t,” she sighs. “Forget it. It’s a long story.”

“I heard the rumors,” I shrug, not feeling an ounce of pity.

“I think it was your slut of a girlfriend who told her to begin with.”

“Great, call her a slut, that’s going to make me real happy,” I cross my arms, and Brittney’s unmoving. “Look, I can assure you she didn’t. She doesn’t even know who his wife is. It must have been someone else you’ve wronged or blackmailed. I realize there may be a long list, but it wasn’t Luci.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?”

“You don’t exactly have a great reputation.” I sigh. “You can’t honestly be surprised.”

“You’re a bastard.”

“Best of luck.”

She leaves, realizing I can’t help her, and I immediately lock the door behind her before calling Luci.

“Hey!” She answers immediately.

“I cannot wait for Brittney to be out of here,” I vent. “Do you know she’s pregnant? Apparently David’s wife found out they slept together, and who knows, I think he fired her, or blackmailed her back… Luci?”

“I’m here,” she clears her throat. “That sounds horrible.”

“Horrible?” I can’t help my laugh. “Are you kidding? She deserves whatever she has coming her way.”

“Pregnancy isn’t a punishment,” she breathes. “I feel sad for her.”

“Well you’re sweet, and that is why I love you.”

She’s quiet.

“Is everything okay?”

“Yeah,” she sighs. “I’m just beat. Sorry I didn’t call you back,” she yawns. “I think it’s the air mattress. “It’s the worst.”

“Well only a few more days, and you’ll be back in my bed.”

That has to cheer up.

Chapter 23

-Luci-

I get into my graduation dress, and the only thing I have left to put on is my cap and gown. Gracie waits with me on the couch, and we both look up when Ren walks through the door.

“Did you get it?” I ask nervously, and she holds up the plastic shopping bag.

“I’m pretty sure like five people from the theater department saw me, so you’re going to owe me, especially if this gets back to Dan,” she shoves the bag my way.

I stare at it.

“You’re going to have to take this from me.”

I don’t.

“Luci, how are you going to pee on the stick if you won’t even touch the bag?”

“Okay, just give me a second,” I take a deep breath. I really thought my vomiting and tiredness was a continuation of the same bug I had from weeks ago, that maybe it hadn’t fully left my system, but as this week comes to an end, and my period is now a full seven days MIA, I’m no longer so sure.

“Luci?” Gracie nudges me, and I snap out of it. “You better do this quick, before Mom and Dad come back here or something.” I give her a nervous look. “They won’t,” she immediately tries to calm me, realizing she said the wrong thing. “They’re getting seats for the ceremony, but it’s always a possibility.”

“Come on,” Ren pulls me into the bathroom, and I hear her yell at Gracie about making me more nervous.

She grabs the bag back from me, and opens it.

Just seeing the test makes me sick, and I run to the toilet and heave. Ren is quicker than Gracie, and I feel the hair come off my shoulders as she pulls it back.

“It’s been like this all week,” she tells Gracie.

“Luci, you in here?” I hear Josh’s voice just outside the door, and another round falls into the toilet.

“I’ll take care of him,” Gracie offers before sliding out the door, and I can hear their conversation. He wants to see me real quick, but Gracie tells him I’m not feeling well, which I wish she didn’t. He knocks on the door anyway, but Ren is faster, and locks it.

I feel horrible for excluding him, but I just can’t involve him right now. Not until I’m sure, and definitely not after what he already went through with a pregnancy once before.

I get up, wiping my mouth on a towel before splashing cold water on my face, and Ren sets mouthwash on the counter.

“It says you have to pee on it for seven seconds,” she reads, and I see the stick out of the corner of my eye, bracing myself.

She turns around while I do what I need to, and once I’m finished, I set it on the counter. “You can turn around now.” I slowly lather soap in my hands.

There’s a knock at the door, and we both look at each other. “Guys, it’s me,” Gracie says, and we unlock it. “Did you take it?” She walks in, and I nod. “And?” Her eyes widen.

“Now we wait,” Ren sighs. “Luci, I want you to know that whatever the outcome, we’ll be here for you,” she looks over at Gracie, and she nods too.

“I’ll help you deal with Mom and Dad.”

“It’s so stupid of me to even take the test,” I stare at the ground. “I already know the verdict.”

“It’s okay,” Gracie wraps her arms around me, and I start to cry.

“He’s going to leave me.”

“Luci,” Gracie laughs. “He didn’t even leave someone he didn’t like once he found out she was pregnant. He’s most definitely not going to leave you.”

“He is!” I wail. “You didn’t hear him. He doesn’t want children.
Ever
. He was
very
adamant.”

“Well, let’s just wait and see what the test says,” Gracie soothes.

“I told you,” I sniff. “I already know. I haven’t been myself, and I have all the symptoms. Not to mention my period is a week late, and it’s
never
late.”

“So I shouldn’t tell you?” Ren interrupts, and Gracie quickly moves towards her.

“Am I wrong?” I close my eyes.

“I’m going to have a niece or nephew!” I hear Gracie’s jubilation, followed by a clanking sound, and then an “Ow!” after Ren clearly pushed her into something. I open my eyes, my tears hitting the floor.

Ren and Gracie help me clean up, and luckily, I make it through graduation unscathed.

“I have a brilliant idea!” Gracie smiles as we all finish eating our celebratory lunch. Josh keeps soothingly rubbing my hand under the table while whispering how he can’t wait to get me to his apartment tonight. Meanwhile, I haven’t touched my food.

We all look at Gracie expectantly, waiting for her grand idea.

“I think Josh should drive back with Mom and Dad, and you guys can get to know him more, while I can take his car back with Luci.”

Josh gives me a confused look.

“That’s a great idea!” I jump.

Thank you Gracie for now allowing me to make as many pit stops as I need!

“I would love the sisterly bonding time.”

“Sure,” Josh’s eyes scrunch together. “If that’s what you want.”

I feel really horrible by the time we get home. Josh begs me to go with him to his apartment, but I’m honestly so fearful of projecting on him the moment we do something, that I somehow convince him to stay here instead.

He sleeps on the couch, to be respectful towards my parents, and I cry myself to sleep over how sweet and wonderful he is.

Deb calls the next morning to congratulate me on graduating, and I think it’s strangely bizarre that she asks for every detail of the day, like she’s
waiting
for something.

At first, I think maybe it’s some weird women sense and
she knows
, but I tell myself that that’s impossible. She probably just wishes she could’ve been there.

The next week and half is uneventful, and I’m actually starting to feel better physically. Of course mentally is a whole other story.

“You know, there’s going to come a time when Mom and Dad are no longer going to believe we both keep getting sick,” Gracie says as we drive home from the mall. “And you have to tell Josh! You can’t keep practically avoiding him.”

“I know,” I sigh. “I will.”

“When?”

“Maybe this weekend. After his sister’s wedding.”

“Okay,” she rolls her eyes. “Or maybe just wait until the baby is born.”

I give her a look, not appreciating her sarcasm.

“Sorry, but I really don’t think he’s going to be as upset as you think he is.”

“He will,” I sigh.

“Also, I was doing some research, and you need to go to the doctor. There’s like vitamins and shit you need.”

I don’t answer, still too afraid to accept what is, and we fall silent.

“Does it feel weird?”

“Does what?”

“Having something growing inside you?”

“Well when you put it all creepy like that, yes!” I huff. “I don’t want to talk about it.”

I don’t miss her eye roll.

Deb and Matt’s fake real wedding is extravagant. It’s by far the fanciest party I’ve ever seen, next to their engagement party of course.

The drive to Long Island was extremely long, and the castle venue we’re at even has hotel rooms. It sort of reminds me of France.

France.
Where I stupidly got pregnant.

I feel bile rise, but thankfully, it stays down.

Last night, at the rehearsal dinner, Josh warns me about his past hookups with a few of Deb’s bridesmaids during his ‘BL days.’ That’s what he now refers to as everything that happened before he met me, ‘Before Luci.’ He says he only cares about the after, and everything else is grouped into BL.

I once told him I fall in love with him every day, and that still holds true. He’s always coming up with these random, kind things, and it’s hard to hide something so major from him. I keep trying to focus on his endearing qualities, attempting to gear myself up to tell him, but every time I come close, I can’t do it. His words from the mall that one time keep ringing in my ear.

Josh introduces me to his Mom again, and I also meet his Dad, who is equally as intense as she is. Overall, our interaction isn’t too bad. They are so busy schmoozing with everyone that they basically brush me off. Deb was right; you’d really think this was their party.

The next morning, Deb asks me to hang out with her while she gets dressed, which is so kind and sweet considering I’m not a bridesmaid. In fact, she pulls me aside and tells me that she wishes I were, but because they ordered their dresses so long ago, and it would throw off her Mom’s precious numbers for pictures, she couldn’t add anyone else.

I’ve been horny all afternoon, and the only time I’ve seen Josh all day is during the ceremony when he’s standing up front. I couldn’t take my eyes off of him in his tux.

Afterwards, we head away from the lush gardens and into a stately ballroom. Everything is white and gold, with a hint of blush, and the entire room is covered in fabric, with flowers draping everywhere.

Finally, I feel his warm breath whisper hello in my ear just as his arms wrap around me. I lean back and drop my hand, cupping his penis.

“Luci!”

I turn around in his arms.

“It’s dark over here. No one saw.” We’re by the bar, and he hands me a drink.

“Speaking of bar. How do you not have champagne in your hand?” He laughs, taking a sip. “I don’t know about you, but this wedding is forcing me to want to drink
a lot
.”

“I have a better idea,” I put down my glass and kiss him.

“Now?” His eyes widen.

I take his hand and pull him in no particular direction. I walk aimlessly until I spot a random door in the hallway, and figure why not? No one is around, so I twist the handle and it opens.

“You’re insatiable lately,” he whispers, following me inside.

“Are you complaining?”

“Uh huh,” he jokes.

“Fine,” I shrug. “Go back to the party and I’ll take care of myself.”

“Like hell,” he laughs, picking me up and shutting the door behind us.

We walk in what appears to be a large storage room, with rows and stacks of tables and chairs, curtain rods with fabric hanging, and boxes thrown throughout. We both spot a couple of couches in the back at exactly the same time and look at each other. There’s enough privacy from the dividers and fabric, and I don’t have to say anything, he’s already moving us towards them. He immediately lays me down, undoing his pants and lifting my dress.

“Fuck you weren’t kidding!” He slides inside me easily, and the weight of him feels amazing.

“Oh!” I wrap my legs around him. “Oh!” I whimper again, meeting his thrusts. It’s like this one spot inside of me is on fire.

He pulls the front of my dress down and his tongue swirls around my nipples, first the right, then the left, and I throw my head back.

“Harder!” I order.

Out of nowhere, we hear a noise and still, his cock beating fiercely inside me as we stare at each other in horror.

Suddenly, a man and women enter, talking in hushed tones, and I close my eyes, praying they don’t come back here.

“We need to make this fast!” The lady says. “Before someone comes in!”

“They’re dancing, so we’re not needed to serve for another 30 minutes. We’ll be fine!” The man responds. “Here, lean against the door so it can’t open.”

Josh and I stare at each other, too afraid to move, even just to get out of this compromising position. I hold my breath, and our eyes widen further once we hear the distinct sound of zippers being pulled down.

“You’re so fertile right now huh?” The man asks. “I’m going to have you popping out my kids for the next ten years! Bend over!”

I bite my lip, quietly laughing, and Josh does the same.

The ladies high-pitched screeching voice nearly has me bawling. “Fuck a baby into me!”

I close my eyes, holding back my laughter, feeling Josh’s chest vibrate with his.

“Feel my prick inside you?” The male grunts. “Uh! I’m going to breed you!”

Maybe it’s the fact that I’m already pregnant, but I keep my eyes closed, imagining the words coming from Josh, and my hips involuntarily start moving, despite this being completely inappropriate and weird.

“Are you liking this?” Josh whispers. I can hear the surprise in his voice, but don’t say anything.

“Deeper,” the lady commands. “Get right up to my cervix!”

“I’m so far up!” The man replies. “So deep!”

“Ohh!” The lady whimpers. “That’s it! Spray that baby making juice in me!”

Josh starts to slowly meet my thrusts, careful not to make any noise, and I feel every inch of him slowly plunging in and out of me. It’s an excruciating but blissful pace.

“You ready for my seed?” I open my eyes, finally meeting Josh’s, when I hear the man’s voice.
