First, you know, a new theory is attacked as absurd; then it is admitted to be true, but obvious and insignificant; finally it is seen to be so important that its adversaries claim that they themselves discovered it.
–William James
Imagine that your aging
organs and glands can be rejuvenated! How would that change your rate of aging? What implications would that have on your health?
As I have said repeatedly in this book, aging is about worn-out parts. If there were a way to restart burnt-out adrenals, stimulate the pancreas to work more efficiently, or get the thyroid gland working the way it did when you were young and at optimum, wouldn’t you be interested? Especially if I said none of these things required drugs?
Well, that is the bombshell Dr. Jonathan Wright is about to drop. He explains that by determining your weakest organs and glands and rejuvenating them, you can turn back the clock! The results are renewed vigor and energy. Cell rejuvenation may make you younger and healthier, and best of all, it’s drug-free.
Read on.
Dr. Jonathan Wright
is a fearless and passionate seeker of true health care. He has coined the phrase “using Nature’s tools,” an anthem he lives and breathes. He is the “Father” of bioidentical hormone treatment, being the first doctor in America to prescribe bioidentical hormones as replacement therapy, twenty-five years ago. He is a sought-after lecturer and teacher, responsible for educating thousands of doctors and professionals on natural hormone replacement as well as natural and alternative methods of allowing the body to heal itself without drugs. As a result, patients flock to him in his Tahoma Clinic in Washington State. “In forty years, I’ve never healed a patient,” says Dr. Wright. “They heal themselves.” His modesty notwithstanding, over thirty-five thousand patients have come to see him, and more wait their turn. An in-demand speaker in Europe, he’s also considered a hero in Japan, and thousands of professionals have temporarily put their careers on hold to attend his famous seminars
.
In my book
Breakthrough,
Dr. Wright demystified the replacement of natural hormones and woke up America to alternative healing. In this book, he goes deeper into explaining the nuances of hormone replacement essential to living longer and as a key necessary element to redefining how we age. In this interview he also explains that it is now possible to cut cancer off at the pass using anticarcinogenic replacement creams, and to bypass cancers that might have become life threatening. The end result: extending life without disease
.
In addition, he drops a huge Bombshell: Cells in the body can actually be rejuvenated to, in essence, restart themselves again. This is reversing aging at its best; organs and glands rejuvenated to youthful levels, using
once again, as he so eloquently says, “Nature’s tools.” He is my friend, my doctor, and as an educator, a gift to humanity
.
SS:
Hello, Jonathan. Thank you once again for allowing me to pick your incredible brain. This is the fourth time I’ve had the privilege of featuring you in one of my books, and I know we have only touched the surface. You have taught me so much over the years. Along the way we have become very good friends, and I treasure that. You are one of the first, if not
the
first doctor to recognize there is a better way to stay healthy and age well, and that lost or diminished hormones rob us of our youth and vitality. When they are replaced, a person starts to feel good again and thus lives longer. So to start, how would
you
describe yourself?
JW:
Thank you, Suzanne. It is indeed my honor to be featured again in another of your important books. To describe my work—it’s actually fun, too!—half of what I do is body chemistry and the other half is hormones.
SS:
Okay, then let’s begin with your Bombshell!
Cell rejuvenation!
This is body chemistry at its finest. I am fascinated about this great breakthrough. It’s underground, a true explosive “secret” that’s really not so secret, just not yet hit the mainstream.
Cell rejuvenation sounds too good to be true except for the fact that I have been utilizing cell rejuvenation under your guidance for six years now, and I have noticed a real slowdown of my aging process. Can you explain?
JW:
Certainly. In the late 1920s, a professor named Paul Niehans of Switzerland started using cells from fetal animals to strengthen the parts of the human body that were weak or diseased; for instance, “heart cells” to strengthen the heart, “kidney cells” to treat kidneys. But even he wasn’t the first to recommend something similar: The tradition goes all the way back to Ayurvedic doctors who would recommend eating tiger testicles to treat testicles.
SS:
Yuck! Makes me glad I’m a female!
JW:
If you recall from your studies, even in Greek mythology, Homer had Achilles eating bone marrow from lions to gain strength. So the idea of using fetal animal cells for a person with, say, an organ problem is not new.
SS:
But it is not the standard of care in today’s orthodox medicine …
JW:
It got lost in the patent-medicine-oriented approach to health,
but it is truly a great advantage to health. There are growth factors in those fetal animal cells that, when injected, end up in the target organ and help that organ to get healthier.
SS:
So injecting the fetal cells from the same organ or gland of the animal can be used to treat a human organ or gland?
JW:
Yes, but its other major use is as an antiaging factor. Cell therapy can be used to put those fetal growth factors back in all the cells and organs, and, in doing so, we find the organs literally work better. So cell therapy can be used as a targeted therapy for a specific problem, or it can be used as an overall antiaging therapy. This therapy has been used in Europe since the 1920s.
SS:
Yes, and I recall in the 1950s you’d hear about Hollywood stars flying to Switzerland to have sheep’s placenta injections.
JW:
That’s true. Placenta is kind of a wild card because it makes any cell more effective. So what they were doing was using sheep placenta with sheep heart or sheep lung or others. The reason they use fetal animals is that fetal animal cells are not antigenic. They do not set off allergic reactions. Even though they are from another species, the growth factors are mostly the same or extremely similar.
SS:
Have there been any negatives associated with these injections?
JW:
No, there hasn’t been a single problem with fetal animal cell therapies since they were invented in the 1920s. Let me give you an example of the effectiveness of this therapy. Dr. Niehans wrote of a woman, fifty-three years old, and she was shaking, shaking, shaking. She could hardly walk because she had this giant goiter removed, but the parathyroid glands were mistakenly removed, too.
SS:
Goiters are enlarged thyroids from lack of iodine?
JW:
Yes, and I will explain that in a bit. When you get a goiter, like you said, it’s because your thyroid is enlarged from lack of iodine and the thyroid gets big. Hers was so big it impaired her breathing. In the thyroid gland that has enlarged into a goiter are embedded parathyroid glands, which are the glands that control calcium in the bloodstream. Without the parathyroid, the calcium in the bloodstream drops very low and you get all spastic. Usually a person would die within a few weeks of that problem, but Dr. Niehans obtained fetal sheep parathyroid cells, injected them into the pectoral muscle, which is the muscle under the breast, and within two days her calcium in her bloodstream was normal, she quit shaking, and she lived to eighty-five.
SS:
After one injection?
JW:
Yes. Now does it always work that well? No. But it does work very, very often.
SS:
My first experience with cell therapy under your guidance was when my adrenals had flatlined. I was completely out of energy, was experiencing depression, couldn’t sleep, and had a host of other problems. My situation remedied when I was given bioidentical cortisol pills, which I’d have to take four times a day. You mentioned to me that I might have to do this for life because I had so damaged my adrenals from the stress of overworking, and then you asked would I be interested in another way.
That is when you gave me the adrenal cells shots, and in a very short period of time I was able to wean myself off the cortisol and all my symptoms disappeared. Then you mentioned when Alan and I were patients at your Tahoma Clinic outside of Seattle, in Renton, that we could rejuvenate
all
our cells for antiaging purposes. We had pancreas, thymus, thyroid, skin—Alan had testicle shots—and all the other organs rejuvenated. I think it was a total of about twenty-five injections over three days. (They didn’t hurt by the way.) The results are subtle, but I haven’t been sick or tired, or fatigued, for a few years, and people are saying to Alan and me, “I don’t know what you two are doing, but you sure look great.” I figure it’s the effects of the cell rejuvenation. I also notice the effect on you and your wife, Holly; she looks fifty, yet you say she’s seventy.
JW:
Hard to believe, isn’t it? She gets carded when we go to the movies and I try to buy her a senior’s ticket.
The adrenal is an area where we apply the most cell therapy for two reasons. One, so many people who develop weak adrenals don’t know it. It’s a diagnosis that’s most often missed, and second, people are so stressed and that affects the adrenals. Adrenal fatigue does cause burnout and that is what you were experiencing. We use a combination of adrenal cells, a little bit of hypothalamus, thyroid, and a little bit of ovary if it’s appropriate. It takes about two to four months to start working, but then it works really well. Cell therapy is “protected” from the FDA because in 1993 the law was changed so that the government couldn’t interfere with giving entirely natural substances if they did not harm people.
SS:
How often do you have to reinject?
JW:
About every three to five years. I think in your case, Suzanne,
with all the other things that you do, and the way you eat and sleep, you probably won’t need reinjection for a long, long time. To finish the cell therapy explanation: If people have a weak liver, we give liver cells, and their liver gets better; we give people with low white blood cell counts a combination of bone marrow cells and liver cells, and their white blood cell count goes up.
But antiaging rejuvenation is more than just looking better. It is about improving the overall internal health.
SS:
As in, if your insides are young and rejuvenated, it resonates on the outside?
JW:
Yes. My mother-in-law came up to stay with us a few years ago for the summer—she’s in her nineties now. She was eighty-five and looked it. While she was here we gave her an overall antiaging cell rejuvenation program. By the end of the summer, when she went back home, everyone was asking her if she had had cosmetic surgery. She also got her energy back. Now, she didn’t look thirty, but she did look at least ten years younger.
So cell rejuvenation is not going to prevent us from dying ultimately, but it is going to keep us healthier. Stem cells are certainly the future, but at present with having to go offshore, it can cost in the $25,000 to $50,000 range, and many of these offshore clinics are not using effective stem cells. A course of cell therapy runs about $4,000 to $5,000.
SS:
Will it allow us to live longer?
JW:
Well, definitely. If it makes you more active, more energetic, and look better, it will add years to your life; but most of all, you will be healthier.
SS:
I wish this had been available for my mother when she was alive. I find it exciting that you are providing this kind of regenerative medicine at a time when doctors are at a loss. They haven’t been trained in medical schools to deal with the changing planet, the longer life span, and the conditions created today from toxins, stress, chemicals in the house, outgassing, fluoride in the water, and poisons sprayed on our food. We have to take care of ourselves in a different way, and that is what you are offering and teaching other doctors. You are doing a big service to humanity.
JW:
Well, thank you. And yes, we have to focus on staying healthy. In caveman days, all you really had to worry about was not getting eaten by a tiger, or getting an infectious disease, but the food
was organic—there weren’t any other choices—and there were no synthetic chemical toxins. People were outside a lot of the time, so most were getting plenty of vitamin D.
SS:
Now let’s talk about hormones. Why are bioidentical hormones crucial in order to live longer and healthier? Also, why are they the first step in achieving that goal?
JW:
With the loss of hormones, people experience a great deal of bodily discomfort, which is too bad because that doesn’t have to happen. In the last half of the last century, there was quite a rise in Alzheimer’s disease, so let’s start right there. The evidence clearly indicates that replacement of bioidentical hormones is not only vital but also needs to be sex-specific to reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s disease. And the risk reduction is very significant if bioidentical hormone replacement is started as soon as your own hormones drop too low.
SS:
Meaning both sexes need replacement, individualized to the needs of either the man or woman?
