dysser

A kind of stone-built burial chamber characteristic of the TRB Culture where the chamber is generally surmounted by a capstone and enclosed within a low earthen mound surrounded by a stone kerb. In later phases of the TRB Culture, dysser are superseded by passage graves.

Elder or patriarch, used in the Anglo-Saxon kingdoms to refer to a viceroy of the king, official, noble, or sometimes ecclesiastic. Replaced by jarl (‘earl’) during the Danish occupation and gradually relegated to the title of an official in local government.
ear flare

A large circular ear ornament, flared like the bell of a trumpet, which was often made of jade. The ear flare was an elaborate form of
EAR SPOOL
.
