Mesoamerican god of water and rain. Typically represented as goggle-eyed with a scroll-edged mouth and often, but not always, wearing some kind of flat rectangular head-gear.

Aztec ruler or petty king of a city-state. The tlatoque claimed descent from Quetzalcóatl through the Toltecs and thus believed in a divine right to rule.
