“What I’m thinking…is that isn’t the outfit I had in mind for our date.” He smirks back. I flip him off and he grabs my hand and slowly draws my finger into his mouth before I can protest.

“Go. Change. Now,” he states firmly, and I find myself turning around and heading towards where my clothes are to pick out a new outfit. I don’t put much stock into the hazy feel that’s taken over my body. I’m fluid like that. I just roll with it.

I throw on a pair of fitted sweat capri pants and a tank top. That’s the best I can do. I generally only wear this outfit to bed. I guess I forgot to mention that I changed right in front of him. I mean, would you honestly expect any less? I laugh to myself and turn around, waving my hands around like a show girl.

“And how is this, master?” I ask sarcastically.

“Perfect.” His smile reaches beautifully all the way up to his green eyes. I think if nothing else, those eyes I will forever remember.

“What’s the plan, then? Where are we going?” I walk over to the front door and open it. I decide to leave my purse behind. I don’t think I’m going to be needing it. The security it holds feels less important today. I gesture for him to walk out and I follow behind, locking the door before we make our way to his motorcycle. I did some research on the boy myself. A little Facebook stalking goes a long way. Funny that someone trying to be so inconspicuous makes a page on one of the largest social networks. Granted, he’s been AWOL from the site for awhile now, according to his recent log in information. But there’s picture of this beaut up on his page, which doesn’t do this handsome bike justice.

All black and chrome, super sleek and sexy. I cannot wait to straddle him. The Harley Davidson Sportster
, that is. I practically skip over to where it sits on the pavement. He gives me a weird look, question lying behind his eyes. I quickly speak to distract from the fact that I knew this was his bike without him telling me.

“I’m good at reading people. You just look like you drive a motorcycle. It’s sexy
,” I purr. It works. He gets a shit-eating cocky grin on his face and truthfully, it suits him. He hands me a helmet and goes without one.

“No
, it’s okay… You wear it,” I respond and push his hand lightly away. I’ve never had someone, with the exception of my parents, care enough to risk their lives for me. It feels wrong.

“Believe me…people would miss your pretty face a lot more than this mug.” He gestures to his face and I can’t help but laugh. I grab the helmet and place it over my head without thinking about it again.

“You look like a pro now,” he tells me with a wink. My head feels like it weighs a thousand pounds. I’m sure I look like a piece of white trash with my scrub outfit and a helmet two sizes too big. Going out not giving a shit feels good. It feels easy; too easy.

He climbs in front of me and straddles his lady. I’ve never wished to be a motorcycle so bad. I grip his waist too tight, digging my freshly polished nails into his hip bones. He doesn’t even wince at my sudden assault. I slide up so I’m as close to his back as possible. He kick starts the bike and revs the engine. The vibration sends shivers down my spine and definitely turns me on. Granted, that doesn’t take too much.

We head off to an unknown destination. It’s beautiful outside today. Not too hot or cold, just right. We pull up to an indoor rock climbing venue named “Rock it, indeed.” Original. I’ve never been rock climbing, so big bad V is actually kind of shitting her pants right now. Big bad V has a tendency to talk in third person when she’s scared. It doesn’t happen often, so it calls for some extra special weirdness. Breccan shuts the bike off and kicks the stand down. He climbs off effortlessly and unlatches my helmet to pull it off. He gently removes it and I’m still staring dumbfounded at the building.

“Something wrong?”
he questions, sounding genuinely worried.

“Uhm…heights…I don’t really do them. One of the only things that I don’t do
,” I respond and attempt to make a funny. It doesn’t go over well because I’m stuttering like a pre-teen boy talking to his dad about the birds and bees.

“Have you ever done rock climbing before? It’s really safe, I promise. They’ve got special harnesses and trainers on hand. I won’t let anything happen to you.
” He sets the helmet on the handle and grips me around the waist. He grabs my chin and tilts it up, giving me just a light peck. It was just enough to set my body on fire. When he pulls away, I reach out and grab at him. He’s too quick for me, though.

“Just give it a try…I know you’re not a chicken. Bawk
bawk.” He actually starts walking around the parking lot, flapping his arms and making chicken noises at me. The few select people that are still in the parking lot stop to stare.

“I’ll show you chicken, asshole.” I walk straight for the entrance, not waiting to see if Breccan is following. I get up to the front counter and realize that I don’t have money or my purse on me. I turn around
, and of course, Breccan is right behind me. I turn around and walk behind him.

“I didn’t bring my purse
,” I state hesitantly.

“I noticed. So, you owe me one.” He laughs and pulls out his wallet to the pay the young girl at the desk
, all the while she’s giggling and fumbling with the bills he handed her. It only takes one glance from me and she instantly looks down at her shoes. I am truly the devil in disguise.

“Don’t make me change my mind
,” I finally respond to him.

We quickly find our way to the huge gym area where the rock climbing walls are being actively utilized. I glance around the room, taking in all of the people. They seem to be having a blast
, which for the life of me I cannot understand. Who the fuck has fun dangling from a big wall? I’m all about that rush, but come on! I shakily walk over to the nearest and smallest, might I add, rock wall that I see.

“I’ll give this one a try
,” I speak confidently. Breccan starts to crack up.

“This one is for babes
,” he quickly says in the midst of his laughing rampage.

“Well
, that’s fucking perfect because I am a babe. Probably the baddest babe in this place.” I twirl for all to see, forgetting completely how shabby I actually look today. I knew what the fuck the smart ass actually meant. This was a child wall, but nevertheless, I’m going to rock this bitch. The instructor to my immediate right begins to clap his hands loudly and Breccan shoots him daggers. I walk sweetly over to the instructor.

“Can you help me get my gear on?” I
ask. The instructor was hot. Tall, built like a football player with huge muscles bulging everywhere and shaggy blond hair. He’s probably barely out of high school, though.

“Sure!” He never hesitates. He grabs climbing gear out of a nearby bin and comes over to fit me. He begins to adjust the straps and hook it up. Before my head can spin, Breccan rips the gear out of the kid’s hands.

“I’ll do it. Buzz off,” he barks and I can’t help but smile. The kid turns red in the face and immediately power walks away. I really like the dominant side of Breccan. When we are both ready to go, I line myself up with the wall and take one peg at a time. I feel like I’m near the top when in reality, I’m only a couple pegs from the bottom. I try to breathe deeply to calm my erratic heartbeat, but nothing seems to be working. I feel completely weighted down. I feel calloused hands on my ankles and I slowly turn to look down at my assailant. Breccan’s eyes meet mine and I instantly calm down.

“You can do it
,” he confirms, making me feel like I never had any doubt to begin with. I look up towards the top and focus on my goal. My legs and arms begin to move fluidly with little signal being sent to them from my brain. The higher I get, the more weight is lifted. I feel light and relaxed at the top. I hit the buzzer and a small victory is achieved. I let out a huge sigh. The only voice I hear is Breccan’s, cheering me on. It shatters the white noise that previously surrounded me in this packed building. It’s almost as if everything and everybody around him vanishes and only he remains for me to see, for me and me alone.

Everything suddenly rushes back at once and the overstimulation sends me reeling. I fall backwards, positive I’m going to crash and burn. The bungee cord catches and prepares to throw me upwards when I feel the familiar calloused hands gripping shoulders. I fell right into his arms. What the fuck
, people? Talk about shit you only read in books. Now if he kissed me right now, that’d be the cover of a fucking hallmark card. But he doesn’t. Of course he doesn’t. My life isn’t a fairytale, it’s a fucking ghost story.

Breccan sets me gently down and it takes a minute for me to get used to being back on the ground. As my legs adjust to the weight being placed upon them, he continues to hold me up. When I feel ok
ay to, I walk out of his grasp. We walk over to a bigger rock climbing wall and I decide to sit this one out. I pop a squat on a nearby mat to watch what unfolds. Breccan looks confused whether he should go or stay. Confusion. It’s becoming an all too fucked up in my mind feeling for the last couple of days now. To go or to stay.

“Go ahead. I’ll wait here.” I shoo him away. He might as well have some fun on our date. It’s the little things that count after all.

I watch him ascend quickly up the huge rock wall. I’m impressed by his skill and efficiency to select his next move so easily. It seems like he impresses me more than I initially thought he would. It’s kind of nice to have someone around that’s kind of on the same level as me. Obviously not in the manner of the fucked up shit that I’ve done, but more personality and intellectual-wise. Also, the man has a great ass. Seriously. I cannot stop staring at something so fucking sexy that it looks like it was sculpted by Michelangelo himself. When he finally descends, I meet him at the bottom. I don’t hesitate to throw my arms around his thick neck. I get so close to his face that I can smell his minty breath. I inhale and am warmed by how deliciously natural he smells. All man, but clean. Damn, some men are so fucking dirty. Not the good kind of dirty, obviously. The
go take a damn shower before you try and stick that in my pussy
kind of dirty. He embraces me back and lifts me off my feet. I wrap my legs firmly around him. I don’t give a shit who’s gawking.

“So I take it you’re having a good time?” Breccan asks softly in my ear.

“I’m having a decent time,” I respond noncommittally. He laughs huskily.

“A decent time?”
he questions with a smirk. I shrug my shoulders and attempt to hide the smile threatening to shatter my composure. He’s definitely on to me.

He throws me over his shoulder and lays a hard smack right to my left ass cheek. It stings like a bitch, but I like it. I
’m temporarily stunned that he just did it in a public place. But even more so, I’m stunned that he had the balls to do it at all.

“Tell me how much fun you’re having!”
he growls in my ear.

“I said I’m having a decent fucking time, no take backs!” I respond childishly. I want him to slap my ass again. I’ll rebel over and again for the feel. He starts to walk out and I glance up only to find people boldly staring. One or two may even be smiling awkwardly and a few clapping. Oh fuck, there’s little kids in here and shit. They probably just think I got in trouble like they do at home. At least I hope they think that. I usually could
n’t give a shit, but kids are innocent. The only innocent thing left in this world. And then they grow up. Some of them even become like me. Innocence all goes to hell and in its place is resistance and a bunch of broken hearts. Breccan sets me down right before we exit to strip me of my gear. He’d already removed his own while I caught up. Then he throws me casually back over his shoulder like it’s nothing. This time, I reach down as far as I can and make a play to slap his ass. I wind my hand back as hard as possible and swing, only to end up screaming bloody murder.

“I knew you were made out of stone. Ouch!” I
’m shouting nonsense to nobody in particular. I’m pretty sure I broke my hand. Breccan places me gently on the bike and I throw my leg to the other side so I’m straddling it. I’m ready to get out of here and my hand hurts like a bitch, shooting pains flying up the length of my arm. He gently takes my hand in his to examine it.

“It’s not broken
, but it’s definitely going to bruise,” he states matter of fact.

“Are you a
doctor?” I ask. I know you all realize his profession is not that of a doctor, although I’d prefer that over what he actually is. At this point, I wish he was a stranger. Just a nobody like all the rest. But something feels different about him. It’s not love or anything like that, I’m not capable. But it’s definitely a deep infatuation. A fondness that I feel that I haven’t felt for another in a long time. He makes me feel safe.

“Definitely not.” He laughs. “But I play one on T.V.” He says
this seriously and I start laughing so hard I nearly fall off the bike. I slap my hand down unconsciously like a dumb ass. I grit my teeth and draw in a deep breath. Breccan says nothing. Surprisingly, he doesn’t laugh at my stupidity. He puts the helmet on my head and hops on the bike before I can say a word. He speeds off with a jerk. When we pull up at the hospital, I freak the fuck out. I hold my hand tightly to my body and bite my lip until I draw blood. I refuse to look like a big baby right now. I just can’t fucking do this. I don’t want to be here.
