If you’ve been inspired by
Charley’s Canadian adventures,
why not hitch a ride on the back

LONG WAY ROUND

Chasing Shadows Across the World
Ewan McGregor
and
Charley Boorman

From London to New York, Ewan and Charley chased their shadows through Europe, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Mongolia and Russia, across
the Pacific to Alaska, then down through Canada and America. But as the miles slipped beneath the tyres of their big BMWs,
their troubles started. Exhaustion, injury and accidents tested their strength. Treacherous roads, unpredictable weather and
turbulent politics challenged their stamina. They were chased by paparazzi in Kazakhstan, courted by men with very large guns
in Ukraine, hassled by the police, and given bulls’ testicles for supper by Mongolian nomads.

And yet despite all these obstacles, they managed to ride more than twenty thousand miles in four months, changing their lives
for ever in the process. As they travelled they documented their trip, taking photographs and writing diaries by the campfire.
Long Way Round
is the result of their adventures – a fascinating, frank and highly entertaining travel book about two friends riding round
the world together and, against all the odds, realising their dream.

‘Touching and memorable … one for armchair travellers
and bike freaks’
Daily Mail

The intrepid duo return for another incredible bestselling
adventure, and this time it’s going to take them a

LONG WAY DOWN

An African Adventure
Ewan McGregor
and
Charley Boorman

After their fantastic trip round the world in 2004, fellow actors and bike fanatics Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman couldn’t
shake the travel bug. And after an inspirational UNICEF visit to Africa, they knew they had to go back and experience this
extraordinary continent in more depth.

And so they set off on their 15,000-mile journey with two new BMWs loaded up for the trip. Joining up with producer/directors
Russ Malkin and David Alexanian and the
Long Way Round
team, their route took them from John O’Groats at the northernmost tip of Scotland to Cape Agulhas on the southernmost tip
of South Africa.

Riding through spectacular scenery, often in extreme temperatures, Ewan and Charley faced their hardest challenges yet. With
their trademark humour and honesty they tell their story – the drama, the dangers and the sheer exhilaration of riding together
again, through a continent filled with magic and wonder.

Branching out on his first solo trip, Charley is
now facing the most dangerous and exciting race
in the world. It’s time to
join the

RACE TO DAKAR

Charley Boorman
With a Foreword by
Ewan McGregor

In 2004 Charley Boorman completed his astonishing round-the-world bike trip with his friend, Ewan McGregor. The journey left
him exhausted, exhilarated and hungry for a new challenge. And what greater challenge than the Dakar rally?

Beginning in Lisbon and ending in the Senegalese capital of Dakar, the rally covers 15,000 kilometres of treacherous terrain,
and is widely regarded as the most dangerous race on earth. With his team-mates Simon Pavey and Matt Hall, Charley faced extreme
temperatures, rode through shifting sands and stinging winds, and faced breakdowns miles from civilisation. Charley recounts
his extraordinary adventures through Portugal, Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania, Mali, Guinea and Senegal. He also follows
the stories of other riders – an eccentric, dedicated band of professionals and rookies who all dream of one thing: reaching
the finishing line.
Race to Dakar
is the thrilling account of a race that has captured the imagination of millions.

‘Boorman is well on his way to becoming
the Michael Palin of motorbikes’
The Times

Charley is facing a huge new challenge – travelling across
continents on another adventure. But he has to get there

BY ANY MEANS

The Brand-New Adventure from
Wicklow to Wollongong
Charley Boorman

Bikes have always been Charley’s first love, but he also enjoys a challenge. So when the chance comes to travel across three
continents ‘by any means’, he jumps right in.

Grabbing whatever local transport he can get his hands on, Charley travels from his home town in County Wicklow all the way
to Australia – a trip of over 20,000 miles through twenty-five countries.

Testing Charley’s skills and stamina to the limit, this new journey offers him a unique opportunity to meet people and learn
first-hand all about their countries. He drives a lorry through northern Iran, rides a tuk-tuk through the chaotic and colourful
city of Varanasi and becomes the first person ever to wakeboard across the Malay/Singapore border. He sets up his own bus
service in Turkey, takes a slow boat down the Mekong, and a very fast one through Borneo to deliver vaccines for UNICEF. And
of course he jumps on a bike whenever he can, even if there’s a monsoon on the way …

Once again, Charley’s braving it in the unknown
and this time he’s going

RIGHT TO THE EDGE

Sydney to Tokyo By Any Means
Charley Boorman

Charley Boorman is back in the saddle for a brand-new, adrenalinfuelled adventure!

He begins his journey racing north from Sydney up the Gold Coast, where he hitches a ride in a Spitfire. In Papua New Guinea
he takes a hand-made canoe through tropical rainforest to stay in a remote tribal village almost untouched by the outside
world. He drives a tuk-tuk made of bamboo in the Philippines, rides with the Mad Dog biker gang in Manila and eats deep-fried
crickets in Taiwan before reaching his final destination in Tokyo.

From active volcanoes to coffee plantations to hilltop monasteries, Charley takes an exhilarating ride through some of the
most spectacular countries in the world. Fast paced and fascinating,
Right to the Edge
is a gripping read from one of our very best travel-adventure writers.

We’re going to need one hell of a big glass of whisky for this 20,000-year-old ice cube! Our trip on Dean and Dave’s boat
in Newfoundland was the perfect start to our Extreme Frontiers journey.

Racing towards the tidal bore on the Shubenacadie River, Nova Scotia, at full speed.

Lobster fishing in Nova Scotia with Merril McInnes and his family on the
Briton Cove Bounty
. It was an early start, but we were working too hard to appreciate the beautiful sunrise.

A beautiful specimen, perfect for feeding the crew back on dry land …

… and two not-quite-so-beautiful specimens.

That’s my ‘let’s off-road’ smile! Nothing I like better.

Off-roading on the dirt-bike. There was one corner which caught me out every time, but it was still great to be on the bike
where I belong.

Look, no hands! Hanging around on the Via Ferrata, with Quebec’s Saguenay Fjord below.

The aerial assault course was extreme, all right.

And after climbing, hanging, shuffling and balancing my way across a never-ending series of obstacles, it was definitely time
for a little lie-down.

With the team (Nat, Mungo, me and Russ) at the beginning of the world’s longest road, Yonge Street in Toronto. Only 1,896
kilometres to go.

On the ice with legendary hockey player Reggie Leach, in Lively, Ontario.
