He
laughs. "But I don't know how." I pout. I wish my mom was alive so
I could talk to her. "Why don't you tell me what your feeling it
could help." He offers.

"I feel
jealous and really mad. I know I shouldn't be, but he has a part of
me. He has my first time and I have what he's billionth time? It
makes me mad to think about it like that, that someone can be so
casual about sex. He was even that way with me and our first time.
He wanted it and he got it. I don't know how we evolved to be more
to each other."

"What do
you mean he was casual with you your first time. It was your first
time, you chose him."

"No, he
chose me."

"You
could have said no."

"No, I
couldn't."

"Explain." He replies, stopping right in front of the
building.

I really
don't want to tell him about the whole blackmaking thing. "I guess
you're right. I could have said no. I wasn't thinking straight that
night." I look at the ground, avoiding his eyes.

"Why are
you still with him? If you think you should have said
no?"

"I think
somewhere along the way I started falling for him. Which brings me
to my next point. How many women have loved him before I did? How
many times did he throw that love away? What if he eventually does
it to me?"

"You love
him?"

"I think
I'm starting to." I confess.

We
continue walking into the building at the elevators he asks, "If he
does that to you, he's a bigger moron then I thought he was. You'll
live though the heartbreak and find someone worth loving. I've been
disappointed in love, it hurts. My mother actually helped she said
to me, love shows us who we are and what were capable of. Love with
all you are, or what you are is nothing."

"Did it
help?"

"Not at
the time, but it does now."

"What
happened? Between you and your lady love?"

"I have
gone out of my way to not see her for eleven years." He replies,
making us both laugh.

"Do you
still love her?"

"No, it's
more a matter of pride."

"Pride?"

"I found
her having sex with my bestfriend. I later found out he wasn't the
only one."

"Wow, do
you still talk to your friend?"

"Yes,
though I would hardly call Ruxin and I friends anymore."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I stop
walking, my jaw nearly hitting the floor. "What?" I ask.

"Relax,
I'm joking!" He yells, after seeing that I believed him. "You
honestly believed me and your lover boy we're ever
friends?"

"You
jackass! You almost gave me a heart attack!" I yell, smacking his
arms.

He laughs
uncontrollably at my attempts to hurt him. "Sorry, I had to mess
with you. It was getting too deep."

"Agh, you
suck!" I shout. Pulling the rest of my hair out of my bun, letting
it fall.

"I'm
sorry." He says, looking at least a little bad for what he just
did.

"So, he
didn't sleep with your girlfriend?"

"Does it
look like Ruxin would have to sleep with my girlfriend? I've never
had anything he's wanted. We hate each other, but it's only
friendly competition."He smiles and I glare back.

He
flattens out his smile. "I'm sorry, you're just so adorable when
you're mad. Novak is many things, lucky being the most annoying
quality." He mutters, running his hand through his hair. "He is a
good man, Eva. He'll be good to you. His past is his past, but you
have by far exceeded everyone else in their attempts to know him.
He's different with you, hell I'm different with you. He knows what
he has with you, he won't mess that up." He replies,
reassuringly.

"Thanks
for that." I reply, honestly.

"Don't
tell him I said any of that. Or I'll make what I did in the
boardroom meetings look like childs play."

"I won't,
but you could have just said you didn't want to talk about your
ex." I scold.

"It's
hard to talk about, not because I still love her. It was Pasqual
she slept with, he was my best friend."

We get on
the elevator and I'm still speechless. "If I ever see that brother
of yours again, I'll be locked away for attempted
murder."

"He's not
worth it." He replies, smiling down at me.

"What?" I
ask. Thinking I may kill him instead if he tells me he's joking
about it being Pasqual.

"I think
you're perfect."

"Prefect?
For what?" I ask, suspiciously.

"For me.
Let's run away together."

"I would
but Ruxin would find us. I don't think I'd relish the punishment
he'd give me." I say, faking a shutter.

The
elevator doors open and we go to the suite. I open the door and
hold if behind me for him. "Shouldn't you go to your room to
change?"

"I'll
wait for you then we'll both go to mine. Ruxin orders." He replies,
smirking. He hands me the bathing suit and I take it with me to the
bedroom. I take off my clothes and slide the bottoms up. My ass is
barely covered. Why didn't I look at the back? I put the top on and
walk around the room trying to find a full length mirror. I peek my
head out of the room and see Xavier standing leaning against the
wall playing in his phone.

"I can't
wear this. We have to go get a new one, I didn't look at the
bottoms." I explain.

"Let's
see." He replies.

"No, but
butt is hanging out."

"It's a
bathing suit. It's the most conservative one they had, you're
exaggerating."

"I'm not
exaggerating." I reply, maybe it's not as bad as I
think?

"Get a
robe on. We're going to the pool, bashful." He adds
playfully.

I shut
the door and try to look at my bottom. Am I over-reacting? Oh,
well. I grab and robe and belt it on. I grab my purse and walk out
of the room.

"See was
that so hard?"

"I still
think it might be indecent."

"You
barely have an ass it can't be that bad." He rolls his eyes,
walking to the door he holds out open and I walk to the
elevator.

"I have a
butt." I glare at him.

"A very
tiny, hiney." He laughs.

"It's
perfectly proportioned to my body." I say, defending my tiny
hiney.

"It is
perfect." He smacks his lips.

"Ewwe,
don't get all gross." I warn.

"What I
can't look?" He asks as the doors open and we get out.

"Nope."

"Tough,
I've looked at it. Even stared at it on occasion." He
teases.

I laugh.
"You've never even had the opportunity."

"I have
actually. Your first day, when you were doing the
dishes."

I
remember the incident. "You dirty man-child."

He nods
chucking and opens his room door. He walks into his bedroom to
change and I wait for him. He comes out in his robe and I open the
door.

Arriving
at the pool I see a few women and a couple men. The pool is a huge
rectangle and the hot tub is big circle. I notice most people are
lounging in beach chairs reading or playing with their cell
phones.

"Pool or
hot tub?" Xavier asks.

"Pool,
first." We go to two open lounging chairs and I'm hesitant to take
my robe off. Xavier tosses his robe on the chair, noticing I didn't
do the same. He reaches for the knot and pulls the belt
off.

"Stop
being a prude."

"I'm not
prude, I'm insecure." I say still holding the robe
together.

He looks
down at me. "Then Ruxin isn't doing a very good job making you feel
beautiful." I squirm and take off my robe.

"Happy?"
I ask, uncomfortably.

He pulls
me into his arms and starts running to the pool throwing us both
into the water. I surface laughing.

"You're
welcome." Xavier says.

"You want
me thank you?" I question.

He nods
and I hear my cell phone ringing from my purse. I make my way to
the edge of the pool and lift myself out. I walk to my purse
answering it.

"Hello."

"It's me.
What are you doing? You haven't gone shopping or ordered anything
to the room."

"I'm at
the pool." I answer.

"How was
the bus tour?"

"We
didn't go. Instead, we just went and bought a swim suit then came
to the pool."

"Why
didn't you go on the tour bus? You didn't buy anything with my
card."

"I know
Xavier bought it for my two days of work." I explain.

"And the
bus?" He prompts.

"We ran
into Xavier's cousin, Sammy." I grumble.

"How does
that effect the bus? You missed it?" I clench my jaw. He doesn't
even remember her, I can tell.

"No,
after meeting one of your many one night stands I wasn't in the
mood for a tour ride." I reply annoyed. "I didn't get the
impression she was pleased with meeting me."

He didn't
respond right away. He's probably trying to recall his night with
her, which pisses me off even more. "Angel, You know about my
past."

"I do and
I have to say when it's actually staring at me, It's a lot more
revolting." I cringe at my harshness.

"What
exactly do you find revolting?"

"How
about the hurt I could see in her eyes after you cast her side, or
knowing for a fact you don't care. How about me giving you my
virginity, knowing it wasn't as special as it should have been,
that I was just one of your many conquests. Which is easier for you
to stomach? Because I find all of them very nauseating." I ask,
venting my hurt and frustrations with him. I know I'm trying to
punish him for his past. I'm aware that I'm afraid he'll do what he
did to so many other woman. I can't help it. I don't want to look
like Sammy. I don't want to want someone who never really took the
time to know me.

"I never
thought I would find someone like you. My past is not the best- I.
Fuck it, I'll be there in a minute."

"Don't
rush here on my account. I need time to get over my anger. I don't
have any right to ask for retribution for your past. I know I need
to deal with it, but it will take time to trust that you won't turn
me into one of those women."

"One of
those women?"

"You
didn't see her face Ruxin, I did."

"How can
you even put yourself in the same sentence as those
women?"

Because I
love you! I want to scream at him. I love you just like they
did!

"If the
shoe fits." I say, instead.

"I never
treated them like I do you. I never asked anyone to marry
me."

"That
doesn't make me special, Ruxin. You don't even know why you want to
be we with me. All you say is, 'you know what you
want.'"

"You're
really testing my patience, Angel."

"I
wouldn't want that." I reply, hanging up. I turn to see Xavier
lounging in a chair.

"Turn
back around, I was enjoying the view." He demands, his grin growing
as my temper rises.

"I'm so
not I'm the mood."

"I
heard."

"Do you
think I was a little harsh?" I question, nervously.

"I think
you have a right to feel what you feel. I think telling him how his
past affects you is a good thing."

I nod.
"It still felt mean."

"Well,
you were mad. I think Ruxin will be okay, T.H."

"T.H.?

"It's
your new nickname." He claims.

"Tiny
hiney?" I question and he nods enthusiastically. "Thought so. Is my
ass hanging out?"

He
laughs. "Yep, and it looks divine."

"Stop
being a pervert if you want to be friends." I say, sitting down
across from him.

"Men
can't be friends with women." He states.

"Oh, my
God. This crap again? That's what Ruxin said."

"About
us?" He questions.

"Yeah." I
respond.

"He's
right."

"You
don't even know what he said." I counter.

"I know
what he said. Every guy knows." He points out. "Men can't be
friends with women without thinking of them sexually."

"But you
think of me like a sister, right? And as Ruxin put it, no one
what's to fuck their sister."

"I don't
think you want me to answer that." He tilts his head to the side
watching my face.

"For
real? Don't joke about this." I beg. I don't want to be the girl,
unaware her friend has feelings for her.
