Tuesday

“Why the stars?” I ask the one question that has burned through my mind since the day I met Evan as I stare at his sculpted torso. Why the hell he felt the need to remove his shirt the second we walked through the door is beyond me.

“What do you mean?” his eyes drop to the Celtic star on his shoulder. I shake my head and set my wine glass down before walking over to him.

“Not those stars” my fingers run down his chest to the line of stars that go from his belly button to under the edge of his jeans, “these.”

“Oh, those,” he says casually, “’cause every girl wants to sit upon a star.”

My eyes widen and I have to force myself not to laugh as I back away from him.

“I’m pretty sure it’s
wish
upon a star, you asshat. And I’m sure not every girl wants to ride your pocket rocket because you have stars that lead there like a yellow brick road.”

He shrugs slightly, “Maybe not every girl but the ones that have taken a ride always see stars by the time we’re done.”

I snort, “Why, what do you do? Hit them over the head or something?”

He ignores my asshole-ish comment and grins at me. “Wait, did you just call my dick a pocket rocket?”

Clearing my throat I try not to look away, “Yeah.”

His arms fold over his bare chest and he leans towards me, his eyes fixed on mine. “I don’t think I’ve ever heard you say cock. Say cock, Tuesday.”

“Fuck off, Evan,” I turn to walk away but he grabs my hand and drags me back.

“Come on…,” he coaxes me.

I pull my hand back and stuff it in my pocket. “Cock… There, are you happy now?” I can feel my face heat and I’m sure I look like I just sat on the face of the sun.

“That was the hottest thing ever,” he says in the most serious tone I have ever heard come out of him.

“Fuck you, Ev.”

Shaking his head back and forth he advances on me. His steps are slow and steady. “Now say pussy,” he whispers as he stares at my lips.

My whole body stiffens as my back hits the counter and he crowds my space. His fingers slowly slide down the center of my chest until he reaches the edge of my pants and he hooks his thumb through my belt loop, pulling my hips towards him.

“Come on, say pussy.”

“You’re an idiot,” I say. My voice is breathless; there’s no hiding the effect he has on me. He drops his head and slides his nose down the length of my neck, inhaling me. “What are you doing, Evan?”

“What I’ve wanted to do again since the first day I met you. Since the first time I kissed you. What I’ve wanted more than anything since that night in the bar and even more since the last night when you opened up to me.” His breath fans across my skin, he feathers kisses across my jaw, below my ear and down my neck.  He ends each sentence with a kiss softer than the last.

“If all you want is a quick lay Evan, I’m sure we can arrange that with one of the bimbos that are aware of your daily wants. Threesome Thursday is not on my list of sexual desires right now. Sorry about your bad luck.”

He boxes me in with his arms, his bare chest pressing against my covered one.

“Know what Tuesday? If all I wanted was a quick lay I wouldn’t be trying to get between the thighs of my gorgeous best friend right now.”

“Why would you want to risk losing me as your best friend by getting in my pants?”

“Because since the first time I met you, you’re the girl I want to see when I wake up and before I go to sleep. You’re the one I need.” He brushes the hair from the other side of my neck and his lips linger over my skin, causing my heart to beat faster and I’m positive that he can hear it.

“I bet you say that to all the girls,” I say, trying to pull myself together because I know it’s a bad idea to go down this road further than we already have.

“Never once,” he assures me. “I’ve never had the undeniable urge to lay my lips against a woman’s neck and feel how fast her pulse is racing. I’ve never cared about what a woman was thinking, about her dreams, about her fears.  But, I do with you. You make me want to care. I want to know how I make you feel.”

“All you have to do is ask, Evan. All you have to do is ask and I’ll tell you.”

He pulls his face back and locks his eyes with mine. I instantly miss the feel of his breath on my skin. “We’ve been down that road before, Tuesday. It took you months, hell, years to share anything real about yourself with me.”

“I didn’t tell you to protect you.”

“So why aren’t you telling me what I want to know now?” His forehead drops to mine and his eyes pin me to where I am, daring me to try and get away. His lips are so close that I know any second he could lean in and they would be on me, doing things I know I want him to do but can’t make myself ask for.

“What do you want to know?”

He moves so his lips rest against the shell of my ear, “How. Do I. Make. You. Feel?”

I gasp when his breath hits my skin, “Nervous. You make me nervous.”

He trails his fingers up my arm and asks, “Why?”

I drop my head in embarrassment. “I uh…” He pulls my face up so I’m staring him in the eyes again. “I’ve technically only had sex with one person.” He chokes on his breath and smiles slightly with a confused look in his eyes. I’ve told him this before, the night at the bar when he told me he thought he was falling for me.

“Well I figured you had at least one. I mean you were married,” he jokes.

“Am married,” I correct him even though I hate the fact, “and it wasn’t with him.”

“Wait. What? If you didn’t have sex with your husband then…”

“Alex.”

“You’ve only had sex with Alex?” he says, trying really hard to hide the shock in his voice. I nod and he smiles softly before lifting me onto the counter. “I actually thought you were lying that night.”

I shake my head. “What are you doing?” I ask nervously.

“I’m going to show you what you’ve been missing. What you could have every day if you just let me in. I’m going to do things to you that you will never forget.” My entire body stiffens as my mind screams, remembering what happened to me in the past. He realizes that something is wrong and his knuckles graze my cheek as he tries to bring me back to the present. “They’ll be good things. Things you will
want
to remember.”

“There’s a lot you still don’t know about me,” I say, trying to stall him.

“I know. We’ll get there.”

He wraps my legs around his waist and I hook my ankles behind him. His fingers trail over my stomach and around to my back before he lifts me, spins and heads toward his bedroom. My stomach tightens like someone is squeezing it in a vice. My hands shake, but I know deep down that I want this more than anything. And that, that right there scares the hell out of me.

Evan

I slow my pace when we get to the hallway. I can feel the tension and fear roll off her like a tidal wave and I’m afraid if I push her too fast she’s going to freak out and I don’t want her to feel like she’s drowning in this. I want her to want this as much as I do.

I turn and press her back against the wall, pushing myself closer to her. Her hands tremble as her grip loosens on my shoulders. For the first time since I met Tuesday, she looks vulnerable, like she could break at any second and I hate that this makes her feel this way. I hate that what happened to her in the past caused her to be this scared.

I slide my hand up until I reach her face and tip her head so she has to look at me instead of my chest or the floor. My lips press lightly against hers and she stops breathing.

“I am not going to hurt you and we’re not going to do anything you don’t want to do. You’re in control here, Tuesday.”

I feel her relax a little after I get through talking and instead of digging her fingers into my skin she starts playing with the chain around my neck.

“I know you don’t plan on hurting me. It’s just… just…”

“Just what, Tuesday?”

She sighs and pulls me closer so she can bury her face against my neck.

“All I’ve ever been is hurt. I’ve been beaten, bruised and broken. Whether it was my body or my heart, I’m used to being hurt. I don’t know how to handle anything else.”

I pull her back and push her into the wall further, my mouth making a path from her collarbone to the corner of her lips. “Let me show you how.”

Tuesday runs her fingers over the back of my head and captures my mouth with hers. Her lips move against mine softly as I cup the side of her face with my hand and I run my tongue across the seam of her lips and she opens up to me, her tongue meeting mine head on.

Her body melts into me and when I feel wetness on my hand I pull back. “Why are you crying?”

“I don’t cry,” she mumbles, “asshole.”

“Do you want me to stop?” Based on how hard my dick is right now, I’m pretty sure it would totally fucking kill me if she said yes, but I would do it. She shakes her head and whispers no before pulling me back to her mouth. Her lips collide with mine as she runs her hands over my chest and arms. Her back arches and I can’t help myself.

I slide my hand down her neck and over her breasts, reaching for the hem of her shirt; slipping my fingers under the edge until I’m able to run them up her bare back. Her shirt creeps up as I move my hands until I can see the underside of the lace bra she is wearing.

Her entire body shudders as I graze my teeth over her neck. She pushes off the wall. “You’re in charge.” I say, meeting her eyes again so she knows it’s the truth. “Where are we headed?” She hesitates, her eyes bouncing back and forth between the living room and my bedroom.

“Bedroom,” she whispers and I push away from the wall, heading towards the bedroom.

Thank fucking God. I wasn’t sure I would be able to handle it if she told me the living room. I want her spread across my king sized bed so I can see every inch of her, not cramped onto my couch. As it was, it is taking everything in me not to strip her bare while I had her pressed against the wall.

My knees hit the bed and I ease her down until she is on her back, her long toned legs still wrapped around me.

Tuesday

My heart races as he pushes me back on the bed, his hands tracing down my body as he reaches for the hem of my shirt. Every fiber in me is screaming to make him stop, telling me I’m not ready for this, but I won’t let my fears win. I want this. I’ve wanted it since the day I met Evan. We may have gotten off to a rough start but I couldn’t ask for a better guy in my life.

His fingers trace up my stomach, leaving a trail of goose bumps along the way and his eyes question me to make sure that I’m still ok. Instead of freaking out I push up on my elbows and kiss him again. Grabbing the edge of my shirt I pull it over my head and toss it to the floor.

“Jesus Christ, you’re beautiful.” His knuckles drag across the top of my chest and I gasp when the warmth of his breath hits my skin, following the path his hand makes. I feel him smile against my skin and I want so badly to make a smart ass comment to make myself feel better but I can’t. I can’t even make my mind come up with one.

His hands slide up my back and unhook my bra, slowly pulling it off.  He runs his tongue across my skin, dipping it into the hollow in my neck before continuing down and wrapping his mouth around my nipple. The heat of his mouth makes my breath catch and I moan.

While his mouth is busy his hand runs down my stomach to the edge of my jeans. My entire body stiffens again when he climbs to his knees and sits between my thighs.

“All you have to do is tell me to stop and I will,” he says. His eyes never leave mine as he drags the zipper down and undoes the button on my jeans.

It’s not that I’m scared of what was happening. I’m petrified of what he is going to say. Evan bends forward, running his tongue around the rim of my belly button before dipping it in and trailing it down, skimming across the edge of my black thong that barely shows under my open zipper.

He tugs at my jeans, sliding them down my legs and tosses them down next to my shirt on the floor, letting his hands slide up the inside of my thighs and back down the outside. His eyes move slowly over every inch of my body until they hit my hip.
