“Is your pussy still hot for me?”

“Nick”

Rolling off Ellie, I went back to the bathroom and collected a cloth and cleaned the evidence of our lovemaking from between Ellie’s legs. The slight flinch, she gave, told me, I had been a little rougher than I had realized.

“Are you okay?”

“Okay. Nick, I’m so relaxed, I believe my bones have melted and I’ll never move again.”

Chapter 25

It was good to be back in Comfort Springs after our last run. Life was good. Since the birth of Cassie and Linc’s baby, Ellie and I have come a long way. Dec was now living in my apartment and I have practically moved in with Ellie. I have managed to adjust to family life, easier than I had anticipated.

“Ready?”

“Yep. Let’s get this over with.”

Another meeting, and a collection of auto parts has been arranged since the last two drop offs’ had gone without a hitch. The parts had not been used, they were still stored at the back of the garage. Somehow, Sundance has managed to trace the parts to several stolen high end cars. The cars were long gone, and of no further use to their owners. After a long debate, it had been decided that as soon as the sting goes down, we can move the parts out of Comfort Springs. Twiggy already had a buyer set up.

“Has Ellie said anything it to you?”

Without needing any further information, I knew exactly what Dec was talking about. Tomorrow was Friday, and the girls have arranged a party at the club. A farewell party for Ivy, who was leaving that weekend with Flynn.

“Ivy’s, still leaving Dec.”

Dec dropped the matter, and strolled over to Inferno, who was pulled up alongside Dec’s Harley. Linc and Tabby flanked either side. While Twiggy, Trax and Fraggle were parked behind. Sundance was still watching Ellie’s, as Yvette the skank has not stopped her antics.

“Let’s get this little shit dealt with.”

It was not long before we were on the highway, heading for Simon’s supply store. As we pull the Harley’s into the parking lot, we see that the place is busy. At the back of the workshop, a car is in the process of being stripped. While the one, on the forecourt, looks as if it has been in some kind of accident. As we stroll further into the workshop, Tabby picks up a large spanner, whereas Dec, carries a hammer, which he has brought with him.

Simon was standing at the door of his office, watching warily, as we came further into the building. Inferno, Linc and I, make for the office. Casually, I pull out one of the distributors Simon has sold us, and drop it, on to his desk. Although Simon’s gaze followed my movements, he remained at the door. Where he carefully watched the other brothers through the corner of his eye.

Suddenly, a loud crash, is heard, as someone drops a box of tools onto the floor.

“Oops, sorry.”

Dec’s false empathy, caused Tabby to laugh, his deep rumble filling the workshop. Simon, turned his back to the door and steadily met Inferno’s gaze.

“Is there a problem?”

“You could say that.”

Offhandedly, Inferno pulled a chair back, and sat in it. With a nonchalant grace he pointed to the distributor.

“My manager made a mistake.”

“I’m sorry, what?”

“My manager had no right in changing suppliers without my say so. And just think how disappointed I was, when we discovered, you have been selling us stolen parts.”

Hesitantly, I touch my fading black eye. As he walks away from the door, to sit behind his desk. Simon’s skin pales.

“I’m sure we can come to an understanding.”

“Sure. You can give me my money back. Fudge, hand him the bill.”

“Now look…”

The sound of a hammer hitting metal. My guess is, the already smashed car out front.

“I also want interest on the money. I’ll be generous and throw you a great APR deal.”

Simon returns his gaze from the open doorway. His eyes blinking as he thought rapidly.

“When do I get my stock back?”

The room filled with more laughter, as both Linc and I chortled at this.

“Don’t be a stupid fucker. You tried to pass one over on us. We let you. Now we want our money back, and we get to keep the stock.”

Comprehension, was slowly dawning on the fuck-weed. He has been set up, and from the beginning, we had had no intention of paying for the stock.

“Now look. I made the deal with your manager...”

“I don’t give a fuck. Give us our money or...”

This had come from Linc, who was now reaching for his cell.

“Or what.”

“I send this text to my men in your workshop, and they finish what they’ve started.”

Fervently, Simon snatched the invoice out of my hand, and scanned the document. His color, disappearing altogether, when he spotted the amount we were wanting.

“Now...”

The fool was blubbering, as he waved the piece of paper at Inferno.

“Pay and we’ll be gone.”

One final look round, and Simon begins to stand up.

“You’ll have to wait in the workshop, while I get the money.”

While I leaned on the door, and waited, both Inferno and Linc shake their heads. Finally realizing, that we were not going to move. Simon, walks over to one of the cabinets pushed against the wall, to reveal a safe.

“You’ve got your money. Now go.”

Inferno, did not move as he shouted Tabby in. Who lifted the money off the table, and counted it, before handing it to Dec.

“It’s all there.”

Inferno nodded his head as he rose.  When he reached the door, he turned for the last time to Simon.

“Don’t come back to Comfort Springs. It could cost you a lot more next time.”

As soon as we were back at the club house, I collected myself a drink from the bar, and found a quiet spot to do some people watching. Inferno and Tabby headed to the office, and Linc came and parked his body next to mine.

“How’s the little one.”

“She’s doing great, and should be home next week.”

Carelessly, I let my eyes fall from Linc to the club whores. Who were gathered at the other end of the club, and were in various states of dress, and positions with some of the bikers.

“How did it happen Linc? How did we get from being single wild boys to domesticated cats?”

Linc didn’t answer straight away. Instead, he took the glass, which he is cradling and lifts it to his mouth. Finishing the cool amber liquid in one shot.

“Luck. Fudge. Pure fucking luck.”

On those words, Linc rose from his chair, and headed for the doors.

Did luck have anything to do with it? Not wanting to question my good fortune. I pull my cell from my back pocket, found the number I was looking for and sent a text.

Me: Hi.

Ellie: Hi yourself.

Me: Do you want me to pick you up after work?

Ellie: No. I’m taking Toby and Amelia over to Eliza’s.

Eliza is the only blight in my relationship, with Ellie. Since discovering that I was living with Ellie. She has refused to come to the house. For weeks I have been letting this issue slip by, leaving it for Ellie to sort out. However, nothing was happening. Deciding that enough was enough, I check my pockets for my keys and headed over to Eliza’s. This crap was going to be sorted out.

Eliza lived in a retirement complex. Which is mainly dominated by elderly, single people. It is in a quiet suburb of Comfort Springs. The lawns were cut uniformly, just as each plot was the exact same size. In the driveway a Cadillac Escalade ESV was parked. Business must be good at Wrights Security. Just as I am about to knock on the door, Scott appeared, his keys in his hands.

“Scott.”

“Fudge. Is everything okay?”

“Yeah, I’m here to see your mother.”

“Well make yourself at home. I’ll see you later at the club.”

Just like the outside, the inside of the ground floor apartment is crisp and clean. The walls were bare of any pictures drawn by Toby and Amelia. A major contrast to Ellie’s home, who has pictures pinned to cupboards, and the fridge door. While Ellie has small knickknacks, made by the children, scattered about. There was none in Eliza’s house.

When I entered the living space, Eliza was sitting in a chair by the window. With one sweeping glance of the room, I see it. In the center wall, there is a large wedding picture of Ellie and Carl. On either side, there is a picture of Toby and Amelia, which must have been taken when they were babies. My heart stops as I studied the picture. Childhood innocence and idealism shone from their faces.

“They made a lovely couple? Don’t you think?”

Eliza is a remarkable looking woman. A quick calculation in my head, and if Scott’s age was anything to go by, she had to be in her mid, to late fifties. This complex, is not the right place for a woman like her.

“Eliza you should be out there living. Not cooped up in this place.”

“There’s more to life than sex Nikolas.”

My brothers called me Fudge, Ellie called me Nick and Eliza. Well, Eliza and Ma Grand’Mere, both called me Nikolas. For years I had hated Nikolas.

“Call me Fudge, Mrs Wright.”

“Your name’s Nikolas and that’s what I’ll call you. Now what do you want?”

The old witch, was not going to make this easy for me. Her eyes hard, as she glared at me.

“You’re hurting Ellie.”

A slight frown, and twitch is the only sign she gave, that I had hit a nerve.

“Ellie loves you Mrs Wright. And I’m sorry, Carl is no longer a part of Ellie’s life. But he’s gone, and Ellie deserves some happiness.”

Eliza Wright stood up to her five foot seven inches. Her slight frame, making her look like a bird.

“I know Ellie deserves happiness. And I would want to be the last one, to stand in her way. But what about the children? They are so young, and have already lost a father. What happens when you leave?”

“I lost my mother at a young age, and I lied about my past, Mrs Wright. I know what it’s like to lose someone you love. Children are resilient and I’ll try not to hurt them.”

“I don’t know.”

“I’m not asking you to like me. All you have to do, is make an effort, and go to Ellie’s. I’m not there all the time. If it makes you uncomfortable, I don’t have to be there, when you visit.”

“You’re making me out to be a selfish woman.”

I didn’t bother to respond. Ellie’s car was just pulling up next to the bike, and I had seen the change in her expression, when she spotted the Harley. When the front door opened, and closed, Eliza turned to the door, her usual radiant smile in place.

“What’s going on here?”

“I was just inviting Eliza to the club’s monthly cookout, and she’s agreed to come. Haven’t you?”

Eliza, threw a weak smile in my direction as she nodded her head, while a feeble yes escaped her mouth.

Chapter 26

“Okay, this is the last of the decorations.”

“You know they hate it, when you take over the clubhouse Baby Blu.”

“I still can’t believe you talked Inferno, into holding a fancy dress party.”

“Ivy, never doubt the powers of a woman, when her man wants to cum.”

“Baby Blu.”

“Ivy. None of us are virgins.”

Ivy hung her head, her hair hiding her face as she sniggered silently. Cassie acted as though she had not heard a word, and climbed onto a table to pin a banner to the wall. While Rayven dashed after Kavan, as he chased his ball across the floor.

Relieving Sundance, of the canister of helium he was carrying into the club, I settle down to blow the balloons up. As the balloons fill with gas, I watch as they float to the ceiling. Their hypnotic bouncing, soon blocks out the conversation which is going on around me, and my thoughts drift to Nick and Eliza.

I am still unaware of what happened between them, I was also unsure, if I wanted to know. What has become obvious, is that although they may never be best friends. An uneasy truce has been drawn up between them. Nick had stayed for supper at Eliza’s, before being called away, to the club. By the time I return home, Sundance had also been called back to the club, and Fraggle was sent in his place.

Because of Carl’s commitment to his career, and long absences, he had, very little to do with the club. Preferring to spend his leave with me in the evenings, only attending the club at the weekend.
