“No need.” He shook his head. “You’re a good person and you’re real. Why would you think that people won’t like you?”

For someone who was as confident in everything he did as Garrett was, Hannah knew he wouldn’t understand, but marriage was about being honest. “It’s those residual feelings I’ll always have of not being good enough. I’m working on it.”

Grasping her around the waist, he pulled her so they touched as much as possible with the amount of clothing they had on. “You’re
too
good for me, fuck that good enough part.”

Closing her eyes, she sunk into his arms and let herself stay there for a few moments to regain her composure. When she’d done so, she pulled back and reached up, kissing his cheek over the edge of the bandana. “C’mon let’s walk…its gettin’ cold.”

Garrett watched her, trying to judge if she was okay. Those residual feelings scared him, and he did everything he could every day to let her know how loved she was, but he knew it was something that had to come from within herself. He knew she was trying and that’s all he could ask. Putting his hand in his pocket, he grasped his phone and quickly snuck a picture of her, posting it on his own social media account.

Fucking freezing, but being a real man and taking my beautiful wife for a walk in the woods. Looks like my very own Snow White huh?

Because of the cold, they arrived at the end of the trail much quicker than they thought they would have, and they both gasped at the view. There was a waterfall that had frozen, and the scene it made was beautiful against the snow and rocks.

“Let’s take a picture here, but don’t pull the bandana down.” She winked at him, a saucy smile on her face.

His chuckle was deep as he situated them so that they could get as much of the waterfall in their picture as possible. He was going to have to pull the bandana and dark clothes out for her again when she least expected. Every day she surprised him, and the way she reacted to his outfit was probably the biggest surprise of all. His timid wife was beginning to open up to new experiences, and he was excited to share all of those with her.

Chapter Four

S
tanding over to the side of the stage, Hannah watched Black Friday play to the sold-out crowd. It still amazed her that all of these people showed up, even with the bad weather. They were dedicated in a way she wasn’t sure she’d ever be able to understand.

As she did often, she pinched herself, just to make sure that this was her life. If anyone had told her two years ago, even a year ago that she would be married to a rocker and touring with him she would have laughed in their faces and not stopped until she couldn’t breathe. Sometimes when she looked at herself in the mirror, she didn’t recognize who she was. There was a sparkle in her eyes that had never been there before, a glow to her skin, and the lines of stress were gone. Hands down, she was the happiest she’d ever been. At times that scared her, but she knew she couldn’t live her life in fear. She needed to enjoy every day she had with her husband and these guys. This was her life, and it was okay for her to love it.

Glancing up, she saw that they were saying goodbye to the crowd and making their way off the stage. Garrett grabbed her arm as he walked by her. “C’mon, babe.” He towed her along with them, making sure she didn’t get stuck behind. In the crush of people, she’d once gotten separated from him and lost; they made sure to never let that happen now.

Their fingers locked together as they made their way back to the set of rooms that were serving as their green room for the night. Rick met them there, to go over a few things.

“We have about an hour and a half before the busses are ready to go. I suggest that you shower and eat dinner here; we won’t be stopping for the night. That includes you, Han.” He gave her a pointed look. “If you wanna enjoy a hot shower, you better take one.”

She nodded, wondering if she was supposed to use the same showers as the other guys. There were four, leaving her the odd one out. Before she could open her mouth to ask, Rick started talking again.

“You’ll be over here.” He gestured to a room off to the side. “That way you don’t have to mess with these guys and their BS.”

It wasn’t their BS and he knew it. She didn’t feel comfortable getting naked with all those people, and she mouthed a thank you to him. Reaching over, she picked up the bag with a change of clothes that she carried with her into every venue. Showering on the bus sucked, plain and simple.

“I’ll meet you later,” she told Garrett, reaching up to give him a kiss before she followed Rick to the room they had secured for her.

Rick ushered her inside. “I’m locking the door for you. The only way somebody can get in is with a key, or if you unlock it from in here.” He held up the key, showing it to her.

With this many men around, at times, she did feel like a piece of meat, so she appreciated it when they took extra care with her safety. The logical part of her brain told her that no one would dare touch her for fear of Garrett, but there were contract workers at every arena who didn’t know her husband’s temper when it came to her. “Thank you,” she told him. “I’ll try not to take too long, because I definitely want to eat before we leave.”

He nodded. “I had them get you some of that chicken you like, I know you’re not a huge steak eater like the guys, so it’s out there.”

The gesture meant a lot, and she told him so as he left the room, locking it behind him. Glad to have a few moments alone, she reached in and turned the shower on, letting the water heat up. It was very hard to get time alone on tour, especially with this many people around, and she knew she should enjoy it while she had it. Pulling her cell phone out, she set the alarm, that way she would know how long she had until she had to go eat.

Glancing around, she made sure there were no more doors in the small room. Once she verified there weren’t, she pulled her shirt over her head and slipped out of the boots and jeans she’d worn for the concert. Stuffing them in her bag, she took off her necklace and went about removing her makeup with a makeup wipe. The best thing about showering in these facilities were that they were usually sports team facilities and the water would stay hot forever…it was getting steamy in the room when she heard a key in the lock. Scrambling, she tried to get her clothes back on before the door opened, but she wasn’t quick enough.

“Give me just a second,” she said as the door clicked and the lock turned again.

“Nah, just stay the way you are.”

His voice was deep, a dark edge to it that made her freeze and goose bumps pop all over her body. It was usually that way after he’d spent over an hour abusing it on stage, giving fans exactly what they wanted. There was a dimmer in the room, and he turned the lights down so that they weren’t so bright. The muted light along with the steam from the shower cast the room in an almost dreamlike state.

“We don’t have a lot of time, Reaper,” Hannah warned him, already breathless.

“An hour and twenty minutes. We have plenty of time,” he argued, stalking over to where she stood, her back against the vanity.

She felt hunted as he slowly made his way over to her. The only thing he’d removed once he’d come off stage were the in-ear monitors she’d given him for Christmas and his sunglasses. Reaper was on, full-force, and it excited her more than she dared tell anyone. It was embarrassing how quickly her body reacted to him when he looked at her like this—when he treated her like this, but it was their own little secret. Licking her lips, she put her hands against the vanity, gripping the edge, not sure at all what he wanted her to do.

Purposely, Reaper didn’t say a word as he walked over to where she stood, paralyzed. Until he couldn’t take it anymore.

“Watching you is one of my favorite pastimes, and I can tell from every indication that you’re turned the fuck on. The rapid rise and fall of your chest, the swells of your breasts pushing against the cups of your bra. Were you taking your makeup off when I came in? You’re eyeliner and mascara is smudged at your waterline. And shit, your hair…you must have just taken it down because it has that just-been-fucked look.”

She closed her eyes, swallowing roughly as he crowded into her space. He slapped both of his hands on either side of her hips, clutching the edge of the vanity himself.

“What do you say we give up the pretense of the just-been-fucked look and make it the fucked look?”

Her breath pushed out in a loud gasp as he abandoned his slow ascent and grasped her around the waist, setting her on the vanity. “Yes,” she told him. “Please.”

Game on.

Chapter Five

W
asting no time, Reaper reached up, grasping her hair in his hand, tilting her head back so that he exposed her neck to his mouth, and he attacked. Pulling his mouth back from her flesh, he moved his lips to her ear, and in that voice full of gravel, he let her know exactly what he was thinking. “There’s no slow build up here, honey, it’s gonna be a one way ticket to getting off. Both of us.”

She was totally on board with that. In whatever way he wanted to have her. Her mind went blank and she felt—she allowed herself to feel everything. He had pushed so far onto the vanity that her back was pressed up against the coolness of the mirror, the vanity was hard under her bottom, but that was okay, she knew he would take care of her. Her hands itched to touch him as she ran her fingers down his body. He was still clothed and it frustrated her. Grasping at anything she could, she tore his shirt off in a frenzy, wanting to see the ink on his body, the “H” tattoo that was hers, wanting to see the muscles she loved.

Widening her thighs, Reaper made room for himself there, needing to feel her against him. “This isn’t going to take long, I’ve wanted you since this afternoon when you loved the dark look,” he told her as he pulled her off the vanity and turned her so that she faced the mirror.

Hannah wasn’t sure she could handle looking in the mirror as they did this, there was something so much more intimate about it. Letting her head drop between her shoulder blades, she moaned when his large hand grasped her hips and tilted her up towards him.

Running his hand over her still covered ass, he growled as he grasped the sides of the fabric and pushed them down just far enough on her thighs. Stepping closer, he kicked her feet apart so that he would have room there. With jerky moves, he unfastened his belt and pushed his zipper down so that he could free himself from the confines of his boxer briefs.

“You like this?” he asked as he put one hand on her stomach and ran it down the middle of her body. Once there, his finger dipped into the heat he could feel emanating from her body. “Fuck, you’re wet.” He rested his forehead against her back, wanting to get himself under some semblance of control before he did this. There was one thing to pretend to take her like a groupie, there was a complete other thing to
actually
take her like a groupie.

“Take me, Reaper,” she was breathless, heaving against his body, against his hand that cupped her mound.

If that’s what she wanted, then he would give it to her. “Look at yourself, look at us,” he directed her. When she wouldn’t lift her head up, he reached up and clasped his hand around her neck, forcing their eyes to meet in the mirror. “Look at how sexy you are,” he praised her, reaching the same hand down to her lace-covered breast, pulling one free, so that he could grab the hard nipple between his fingers.

When he shoved himself home, he worried about spilling right then and had to stop, gulping in deep breathes and resting his head against her back. She could completely undo him with the way she gave herself over, and the way she was so open with him.

“Move, Reaper,” she pleaded. “Please move.” She bit her lip, meeting his eyes again in the mirror.

“You’re so sweet when you beg.” He grasped her around the waist with his full arm and crushed her against him. “Is this what you want?”

“Yes.” She braced herself against the vanity as he pounded into her. He could see her scramble for purchase each time he withdrew and slammed back home. It was rough, and fast, and everything he’d always had with other women, but so much more. That emotional connection he had with her made it completely out of control, completely exciting in a different way. When she dropped her guard and let him have her, he wanted to shout to the world how manly he felt. He wanted to roar that she was his.
